The day screamed for some tasting of wine and, with such an entertaining sign out front(see photo), who wouldn’t be compelled to give Sante Arcangeli’s wee tasting room a try? The gentleman running the place on this day did so many things right. He: * was well informed on the wines he was pouring and their origins; * didn’t push me to purchase wine; * inquired if the two of us would like to share a tasting(hell to the no); * waived two $ 10 tasting fees even though I purchased only a single bottle of 2014 Pinot Noir from the Santa Cruz Mountains; * told me I could name-drop his moniker for a free tasting from his friends at another nearby winery. I hope none of this gets him into trouble. Really, Mr. Arcangeli, he is a great employee thus the rating. Nobody is going to set out to come to this tiny place not located on a vineyard property. What they will or should do is see the sign, see the good reviews, and decide that their day could be improved by wine. That’s exactly what I did and it was exactly the right thing to do. When in Pescadero do what there is to do there. Santa Arcangeli’s tasting room is one of those things.

High quality honest family wines. Very value priced. I highly recommend joining the wine club. It feels good to support artisan producers making a high quality product. I will be back!!!

Small tasting room. The server was very nice, the wine was pretty good. I’ll admit I was a little surprised when they still charged $ 10 per person/per tasting even if you purchase a bottle.

This tasting room is a must go if you are anywhere near Pescadero. Luke, the usual suspect in the tasting room, is a great guy to talk to about wine or just to hang out with on a sunny afternoon. The wines are ridiculously good & with this place so close to HWY1 how can you not stop for a bit?
