Brenda is a sweet lady who did a great job on my work uniform alterations. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, Brenda had to leave town causing a delay on my pick up date. Brenda drove my pants to my home personally as soon as she was back in town! That is amazing customer service! Thank you, Brenda!

Brenda is amazing. I was in town from Cleveland, OH for a wedding, and had to have my Indian kameez shortened within two days time. She was nice, thoughtful, was able to complete on time, and was calming throughout the process. Brenda made sure I liked the final length, having me try it on and walk around before doing the very final stitch(took two minutes). The price was so reasonable, especially with the time it needed to be done and the delicate fabric. $ 80! Go to Brenda, she’s a life saver.

Her prices are not posted, so she can just decide what to charge you on a whim. One customer could get charged $ 15 for a hem while the next one might be charged $ 10. She is expensive and the store is in shambles. She did a do good job on my pants but the work cost more than the pants itself. There are many places that do alteration I suggest you shop around before committing to this place.

Brenda does awesome work!!! It was an emergency! i received my bridesmaids dress via fedex on Wednesday and called Brenda. .. Was in on Saturday so she could measure & pin my dress for the alterations, had my dress on back on Tuesday, fitting perfectly & i was ready to fly out that next morning for the wedding in SoCal on Friday! Brenda is the sweetest woman & loves to see people in their attire fitting them like it should! She takes pride in her work, as she should!!!

I just brought a suit to Brenda for alterations and was very happy with the results.’ I’m a groomsman at a friend’s wedding and we all had to get matching suits. However, the suit did not fit me well. I used to live in Oakland and had a good tailor there, but I’m based in Sonoma County now, so I needed to find a good tailor that wasn’t too far away. After searching for tailors/alterations online, I ended up bringing the suit to Brenda’s Golden Stitch with a laundry list of alterations that needed doing. She was incredibly friendly and once I put the suit on, she knew exactly what needed to be done before I even asked. She was also resourceful and offered to use cuttings from parts of the suit that were too big to fill out parts that were tight. The fabric she added to the tight parts was unnoticeable, but made the suit look a lot better and fit much more comfortably. I get things tailored/altered pretty often and was very glad to have found this place. I will definitely be returning for more alterations/tailoring in the future.

I’ve been happily going to Brenda for over 5 years now and recommend her to anyone looking for alterations. Her work is great, her turn around time is good, and she has always been able to accommodate me when I’ve needed something in a hurry. Plus, she is a pleasure to deal with, friendly, kind and professional. If you’re looking for a tailor, look no farther because you’ve found the best at Brenda’s Golden Stitch!

You can trust Brenda with your wedding gown! It’s always scaring letting someone take scissors to your wedding dress, but Brenda puts you at ease and works magic. She’s very honest about pricing and even did some extra changes for me at no extra charge. Brenda is a wonderful person and an expert seamstress – I highly recommend her.

I went to Brenda through recommendations from family friends who raved about her work. I brought in three dresses to have the straps altered to be shorter. I came in almost two weeks prior to when I needed them by, thinking that was ample time. When I showed up, she was in the back and I was ignored for 10 minutes. As I tried each dress on, which takes less than a minute, she’d go into the back and work on something else. One dress was an easy fix; she pinned it and I moved on to the others. The other two were easy fixes as well, but she didn’t pin them, saying she knew. The day I was supposed to be picking them up, she called to say they weren’t ready. The two dresses that weren’t pinned, she’d forgotten how much she was supposed to take off. I already thought she was charging me an arm and a leg, so I said just cancel and I’ll pick them up and deal with it myself. She said she’d already taken the straps apart and just to come in for another fitting which I didn’t have time for, I had to go to a wedding the next day and work until late. I found it odd that she’s taken apart my dress when she knew that she couldn’t remember what had to be done! She said she could have them delivered to my house early the morning of my departure but that would leave no time in case she had butchered them, like I had read in another review. Overall experience was horrible. Would not recommend.

Brenda is nice quick and does good work. I have had pants taken in a topcoat completely altered buttons repaired and I’ve always been happy. I have also tried other Taylor’s in Petaluma that are more convenient and all the quality is about the same the prices are not. Brenda is a little more out-of-the-way so you decide what’s more important.

This woman is amazing. If I lived in Petaluma, I’d bring all my stuff here. Brought suit pants here last minute and she fixed me right up. It’s a bit hidden but worth the trip.

Brenda has been in town for years, but recently moved locations. Brenda did an amazing job helping me get ready for a formal 10th anniversary event. Not only was she able to accommodate my tight timeline but in addition to the alterations I needed, she also suggested some embellishment to make it extra special. Thank you Brenda!

Awesome experience here! I am new to the area and needed my uniform tailored. She did an excellent job and worked to get it done in my tight time window. My blouse needed lots of work and she did a fantastic job. She is very pleasant! I will definitely visit her for future needs.

I have been going to Brenda for many years. The work is always done well and I am told how long until it will be ready and it always is. Today I went in to have two pair of pants hemmed. I told her I could only pick up on Saturdays but I am busy this weekend so it will have to be the following Saturday. She called me back a few hours later and said the pants were ready for pick up. She had also offered to stay open a little later in the evening if she knew I was coming after work during the week. I really appreciate the personal service!

Brenda greeted me at the door and was quick to get me out the door. I have a busy day what seems like EVERY day and I felt well taken care of. I needed a fast turn around on my pants and she obliged, returning them much faster than I expected. Her quality and craftsmanship was second to none and I am extremely pleased with the work she did. Her price was more than fair and I WILL be using her again and again. Top notch work Brenda, great job.

She does a great job with dresses. I’ve gone here several times. She’s shortened formal dresses, and altered a bridesmaids dress. Her prices are reasonable, too. The only problem I’ve had is timing. I needed my bridesmaid dress for a wedding February 4. I brought it in on January 18. She said it’d be ready January 31. I couldn’t pick it up until February 2. But the work was great! I highly recommend this place, but bring in your stuff early.

I had to buy a new dress 2 weeks before my wedding because my original dress was destroyed by another seamstress(Linda Clute) recommended by my sister-in-law. I got a $ 99 dress at and the size was spot on but was too long. I called Brenda on a Friday afternoon and she agreed to see me the next day. I explained my situation and I made it clear that I wanted the stitching to be the same as the original. I also needed it asap because my wedding was on the next weekend. I was able to pick up the dress by Tuesday and I was very happy with Brenda’s work. I wish I had found her a long time ago instead of going to Linda Clute who does crappy work. I will always go to Brenda from now on.

Sorry, this just did not work for me. I wish she had just told me she was too busy to do the work correctly or on time. I brought in several suits and jackets as I lost some weight and wanted a tailor fit rather than a little big. She never called back, only some items were finished before my big trip and the quality… Nice pair of 200 slacks now 2 inches too short and she cut the trim. Overcut my new Brooks Brothers jacket and seems are crooked. No way to fix(350 loss). HSM suit is the same. no way to fix as she cut the trim! SHe did not iron out anything, call me to say work was completed, and did a HACK job on every suit lining by just ripping it apart and sewing back together rather than the correct way or working via the stitching. So I paid 175 dollars, only got some pieces on time, all needed cleaning and ironing and nothing fit right. So I had to buy a NEW jacket and another suit! Anyone want to buy some nice 40R suits that will fit you if you weight about 125 lbs? Never again. She ruined my wardrobe and no way to fix it. I wish I could post the pictures of the crooked stiching and messed up linings. Two weeks and she still has some jackets and I am fearful to even look at them. Must be nice to have so much business you can do crap work and people come back.
