David Straub, DDS – Hillcrest Dental Group

I’ve never been to a place where doctors were so friendly and detail oriented! Highly recommended to everyone!
My only quip is that the old fossil at the front desk is a real grouch. I cancelled my appointment (appendicitis) and she was a little rude about it without letting me explain. Then, when I went to my rescheduled appointment time, I was 5 minutes late (do you realize how SLOW people drive through Petaluma during lunch hour?) she called me and asked me, annoyed, «Are you coming??» And when I walked in, she made a real point to glare at me. Twice. The second time with vigor and she even put her glasses halfway down her face to show me her angry face. I was so mad I contemplated switching Dental centers, but I just love the doctors here.
I would put her name on blast, but I’d like to continue being a patient here.

Ok — i don’t write many reviews on here but sometimes you just KNOW you have to do one because of what happened.
So this was my first visit to Hillcrest. I’m 48 years old and I have NEVER EVER had a dentist that could completely numb my mouth. Dr. Straub is a fun loving guy and told all sorts of jokes to calm me down and then told me I needed an emergency root canal. YIKES!!!
I have no idea what was in the shot he used but for the very first time in my lift I felt absolutely NOTHING. And if you’re gonna feel pain, it will be during a root canal.
I’m a fan!!!

I have been coming here since I was five, I am 25 now and this place has always been great. One of the most amazing views of Petaluma from all the seats in the office.

I had my first crown done by a dentist in Santa Rosa who was highly recommended. The experience made me dread my next dentist visit.
My experience with Dr. Straub couldn’t have been more different. Very little discomfort, and a great result that hasn’t given me any trouble in the year or so since. Thank you!
