Joseph has been cutting my son’s hair for about eight months and he does an excellent job. He provides the best customer service by honoring the time of appointments schedule.

This place is awesome. Ask for Joseph, he’s been cutting my son’s hair for over a year and it always looks great. It can get a little busy at times but it’s always worth the wait.

Don’t even bother. The pictures speak for itself. Chopped my hair, uneven, I have strands of long hair! Barber did not take good direction. Told the guy I wanted a number 4 on top and a tape up and this is is the crap I get! The worst experience!!! The worst crap barber place!!! If I can give this place zero stars I would. They need to go to school and learn how to cut hair.

So I deleted my 1st bad review because Kevin called and apologized for missing our 1st appt. Today he missed the 2nd one. I waited 30 minutes just in case… texted him. Waited 5 more minutes. No call. No show. Again not any offer from any of the other barbers that were working there today to cut my kids hair. Absolutely unbelievable! I will no longer recommend to anyone.

Went to Generations today to have stars cut in my hair. I was served by Kevin the Barber and I could not be happier with my hair and experience. Kevin was very friendly and talented. He did a nice consultation to find out if I wanted small stars, big stars or even pink stars!!! The shop was busy and everyone was cutting hair, mainly men and boys. I recommend the shop to anyone. The pricing was very fair for the services rendered. Thanks Generations!!!

Went to this spot today after going there several times before having good experiences. However today I walked in and sat down. Not one acknowledgment was made… Two barbers sat up in their chairs and continued talking to each other while myself and a couple of other paying customers sat looking around. It’s a shame because they have really talented barbers and they always do a good job… But, I won’t step back in there. Total disrespect for customers.

The best barber shop in North Austin. Employees are very friendly, professional, and detail oriented. As a first time customer, I was surprised with the services provided. Additionally, they are one of the few shops in the North Austin area that use a straight edge razor on your neckline and offer a clean face shave. This is one of the very few shops that continue to operate and provide traditional barber shop services. For instance, the majority of modern-day haircut facilities focus on increasing profitability by cutting corners and deviating from the traditional«old school» barber shop model. In addition to their competent employees, this place is family owned, open on Sundays, loaded with flat screens airing Sports Center, and allows walk in customers. Can’t beat this place!

First time for my son to get a real barber shop style cut, they were super patient with him, and did a great job, I’ve been getting his hair cut at «kid» salons and have never really liked the results. Super pleased here! Highly recommend

I’m changing my star rating to 1. I sent my friend to get a haircut a simple clean up buzz clip and the guy charged $ 20! When their site clearly states $ 15. Never going or recommending this place again!!! — — — — — — — — — — — — I was cruising town looking for something to be open on a Monday to cut my son’s hair. I showed up and the place was open(yay!). The kind gentleman took my son and asked him what he wanted. My son wanted a mowhawk and he was cool with it. Then I noticed that this was a predominately black barber shop(we are Mexican) and I straight out asked if this was a black barbershop. The barber laughed and said blacks are mostly their clients but they welcome everybody. Another funny thing is that my son had long hair(shoulder length) and he also said they don’t get many clients with long hair lol. But the barber was super dope, kind of a perfectionist. He did an excellent job. I would bring back my son again. Their shop also has a cool layout and lots of TVs.

I love this place. My sons barber Myron always does a great job and I never have a problem with him squeezing us in when I call in advance. It’s also nice to have a barbershop that is kid friendly on the weekends. Anyone who has frequented different barbershop on weekends should understand what I mean by that.

I’d been looking for a barber that can properly do a fade for a while; for whatever reason, I had zero luck finding one in Austin. More often than not, I had to wear a cap to cover up the atrocity that became of my grape. I had pretty much given up and resigned myself to the fact that I would probably have to head back to Houston and get the haircut by my homeboy. That’s where Generations came to light. It may have been a matter of serendipity, fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it, although if Kate Beckinsale were waiting for me at the shop, it would have been the best thing to happen in a long time. Alas, she wasn’t there. But, the dude that started the thread in talk, and Nicki’s recommendation made it so. I met with Joe and he asked what it was the I wanted, how I liked it, and to have a seat. I liked him immediately. His attention to detail is superb and he takes his time, meaning that you won’t get a ten minute chop job that leaves the lumps on your head more pronounced than they already were. Various clips, some shears, a little bit of water, and the slight sting of the alcohol solution later I walked out a happy camper. The shop is clean, with barbers on both sides of the wall and a long couch in the middle for customers or parents to wait. Prices are definitely reasonable, comparing them to other places I have seen, and for said price, you cannot go wrong. About the only knock I have is that it’s up in the Pflu. I don’t make it up there often, but can definitely see myself going there to get the grape taken care of on a regular basis.

Generations. I like! My sons barber, Joe, has been cutting his hair since he was 3, so a little over 3 years now, and when he moved, we followed! This shop has a GREAT feel to it. Open and comfortable for every client, no matter what your ethnicity, or hair. It is strictly a barber shop, so no mingling of beauty, and hair, nails or anything else. Clean! New! Great location! Tons of parking! Good design flow, which means happy customers. The Barbers that I know that work here are genuinely very happy about their move, and when your Barber is happy, your head is too! Shop owner is nice too! Each Barber has their own #, but the main # listed will get you through to the shop! No worries if you’re new & looking.
