We were just there, had never been there and went just to try something different.
The foiled baked fish with steamed vegetables and served with white rice was delicious and amazingly seasoned.
Chips and salsa, very fresh and complimentary! So
Many condiments to choose from!
Server was polite and attentive.

Best fish tacos in TEXAS! This is Pharr’s best kept secret! for Mexican and seafood, I have never been dissatisfied with any plate I have ordered here. Service is always attentive and courteous. The little SOUP they bring you as soon as you sit down is a secret recipe and tastes phenomenal!

I went to this restaurant only because someone gave me a certificate that was probably purchased online. It was a Friday evening and the place was empty. Only one table occupied. I ask about the certificate and they tell me that they don’t accept them on Fridays. There was nothing on the certificate indicating a restriction. We left and went to a better restaurant. Obviously very unprofessional and I can see why they are empty on a Friday night. Do not buy any certificates for this place. They don’t honor them.

Visited a friend in the area and I preferred a neighborhood restaurant as opposed to a restaurant chain. Never been to McAllen so I thought I would give this place a try, but was very disappointed. Food was lackluster. The chicken tasted okay, but the presentation was unappealing and mediocre. To be quite frank, it was just plain gross. Just so you know … you’re better off eating at one of the nearby chain restaurants (i.e., Pappadeaux, Chili’s, even WhataBurger, etc.)…

Unilocal does it again. I’m traveling on business and was looking for a Mexican seafood joint. This place rocked. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Tequila which had a crema base and guajillo peppers, served boiling hot in a molcajete. Superb!

Have been to this place several times. When I first started going about a year ago, it was awesome. Good batter on fish and awesome seafood botana. After going again a couple of months ago I was disappointed. If your looking for good food in this area, especially Mexican, try the restaurant in the same shopping center.
