This was probably our worst meal in Philadelphia, with the exception of Geno’s. We popped in while waiting for our room in the Ritz-Carlton. The staff was very friendly but the service was painfully slow! The food was mediocre at best. We had: — Mac n Cheese — I liked it but my kids wouldn’t touch it. — Ahi Tuna Salad — The tuna was fishy and overcooked(which may have been a blessing in disguise) — Turkey Club Sandwich — Tasty The staff brought us an extra order of french fries which was super nice. What made this meal even more painful was the large flat screen TV showing diet infomercials the. whole. time. How many times can you hear about portion controlled tupperware containers until you go crazy?

Had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner with the family here. Very attentive wait staff and the dinner choices were delicious.

I give it 2 stars solely based on the price of our meal versus the quality of the food. 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 of the cheaper entrée’s was a little over $ 100. If I’m paying over $ 100 for a dinner for 2, I expect the meal to be amazing. I got the Scottish Salmon because it looked good in other people’s pictures on Unilocal. While it looked nice in person, it tasted very bland and was unimpressive. I expect much more from a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton. Other than the food, the service was great and the drinks were just ok. There were some stains in my cloth napkin. Again, I expect more from a place in the Ritz Carlton. Just noticed that a lot of the reviews for this place haven’t been recent. I suspect that the quality of this place has gone down since 2014.

High quality and well-cooked food in a prime location tucked within the Ritz-Carlton. I would definitely return for a nice event, but this place is definitely not an everyday dinner occasion. Food Ordered: — Oysters On The Half-shell($ 3/shell) — Scottish Salmon w/Spinach, Pancetta & Aged Balsalmic($ 28) — 28 Day Dry Aged Strip w/Pearl Onions, Fingerling Potatoes & Romesco($ 37) + Tender steak that is flavorful with every bite; definitely go with a rare cook on your steak for the perfect juicy steak Food + no complaints, all cooked at the right temperatures and well-seasoned +/-a little on the pricier side, but you are also paying for the atmosphere + great plating & attention to detail Atmosphere + quiet and clean location for a romantic date + attentive service, but we were also only one of two tables that night

amazing food — it’s really good if you go early so it feels like you have the whole restaurant for yourself!

There is definitely a wow factor as soon as you enter the Ritz. Multiple doormen open the doors and great you and once you are in you can’t help but pause and take in the beauty of the lobby. Surrounded by columns and amazing lighting and filled with interesting people drinking cocktails around the bar, the Ritz lobby is something everyone should see! The bistro is set off to the side which is great because you can enjoy the view while you dine. It is a fabulous hotel but doesn’t feel too dressy and the atmosphere is laid back and stress free. Out service was excellent and my food(cauliflower soup to start followed by the scallops) was delicious. Highly recommend!

Something’s wrong with the management here. The food was mostly fine. Five of us arrived at the Broad Street entrance. We included a 90-year-old with a cane, and a 65-year-old in a wheelchair. Four attendants at the door stood and held all four doors wide open, but never offered any assistance – or even information that there is a ramp at the entrance around the corner. They continued to hold all the doors open for everyone who arrived at the hotel throughout our meal, which made for a cold draft throughout the space. The space itself is spectacular. It is the early 20th-century headquarters of the Girard Bank, converted into a hotel. The bistro choice for the lobby is a good one, as it is somewhat nosey in the marble hall. Fortunately, the jazz group finished their set as our dinner began; they were much too loud for our conversation, and yet impossible to hear clearly due to the reverberation of the space. Our server was quite pleasant, but clearly overwhelmed. She had occasional help from random people – but no other waiter, busboy, or server on anything like a regular basis. She interrupted our conversation numerous times to say things like, «I’ll be bringing you more water.» When the food arrived, no one seemed to know whose food was whose. I know this is bistro, but«Who had the chicken?” – really? At the Ritz-Carlton? While we were in no particular rush, neither did we intend to commit 2−½ hours to this meal. We did have three courses – but 2−½ hours, in a bistro. Seriously? Having said that, the food was mostly delicious and reasonably priced(at least by New York standards). We had a selection of offerings, including fish, chicken, pork, and beef – and only the beef was substandard. The presentations were lovely, and the combinations interesting(bits of lobster served with the pork, for instance). The apple-leek soup was delicious – and a beautiful presentation. The desserts were just right – not too large and not too expensive! It may just have been a bad evening(Feb. 27, 2015), but if someone didn’t show up for work, why didn’t the manager step in, or pull people off the door to clear dishes, or something to help out this poor, bedraggled waitress? Oh, and did I mention we had an early reservation? We arrived before our 5:30 time, well before the main dinner rush.

We had a wonderful food experience last night at 10 Arts. The food was excellent and our sever very successful at accommodating a large group of girls. Scallops were to die for, so was the fois grase and the fish dishes. The drinks were also very tasty and creative. Chef Matt treated us to a side of oysters and champagne which was a wonderful finishing touch to a memorable dinner.

Food was excellent. Simple things like the Romaine salad were excellent. Main courses are generally very good, especially the beef short ribs.

Every year during christmas My friend and I go to the Ritz-Carlton lounge for drinks, Its like our ritual and we absolutely love the whole thing as if we are in a Roman temple. The service is always excellent. Last week I went with couple of my friends to celebrate a friend’s Birthday. we had some drinks at the lounge at first and i had a cup of hot chocolate which was to die for. then went to the restaurant for our dinner reservation. We started with mouthful satisfying and tasty parisienne gnocchi paired with pumpkin, and I fell so in love with that dish. And for the entrée I got thereasonably moist 28 Day Dry Aged Strip with the garlicky Romesco Sauce. The food was not disappointing at all. we were all impressed. Four Unilocal

There are two parts to the 10 arts, the restaurant and the bistro. This was our first time at the restaurant and while there is a normal menu, the chef was happy to provide a tasting menu upon request. The chef, Matt, came out and spoke to us several times throughout the meal and every dish was amazing from the flavors and textures to the plating. The wine pairings and waitstaff service were good not great(I thought it was very strange they didn’t take our coats!?), but the food was truly exceptional. We had oysters, the fluke ceviche(delicate and complex — very unique), yellowfin tuna Nicoise(original and beautifully constructed with egg shavings), foie gras(high dimensionality), duck breast with truffles(perfectly cooked with amazing flavor), the suckling pig confit(which was out of this world), finishing with the apple strudel with pear sorbet(hot, crisp and perfectly done). It was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, in terms of the food.

This was my second time here and I’m still a fan. I try to stop by each time I’m in Philadelphia and it’s nice to see that the menu is a mix of staples and seasonal goodies. I got the chicken with cheddar grits and it was great. Honestly, we all liked our dishes, but the bread was what won us over. Maybe we were carb starved or just really in love with the bread and butter, but it was ridiculously good. Service was great, as always, and the ambiance is nice. It’s pretty quiet for being a in a lobby, but it’s not so silent that you feel weirdly uncomfortable.

We were in town with a large group. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, beautiful ambience, amazing drinks and food. Our waiter Dan was very helpful, really made the experience better. We had for drinks the Philadelphia, and wine. Excellent. The group shared the cheese plate, we had the green salad and for entrée most people had the salmon, and the risotto all very delicious. The prices are adequate to the superb quality, the service and the amazing ambience. We really felt we had a private party. Will recommend

10 Arts Bistro is a great happy hour spot if you are looking for a more sophisticated place to sip a glass of wine. My husband and I had restaurant week reservations elsewhere on Broad and wanted an inexpensive but upscale happy hour experience. Their house wine was Robert Mondavi and it was $ 5 a glass. In the lounge you get to relax in comfortable chairs and enjoy the high ceilings and bright colors of the bar. It looks like popcorn was being served to various tables. It wasn’t brought to us, but I’m glad I didn’t have a chance to ruin my appetite. It’s nice to know a happy hour like this is out there if I’m looking for something different.

Good place for drinks before dinner. Drinks are quite good and the bar area is expansive and pretty inside the Ritz Carlton. The music, though, is loud blasting from the speakers, hence the three stars.

Was walking by and thought, what the heck, why not grab a small dinner at the Ritz. How often do you get to do that? A — The maitre d’ dropped the ball on some service when I came in, but that is going to be(hopefully) unique to my experience. B — I had something to eat, but I don’t really remember it. C — Had to ask for bread, and it was a bit stale D — No one came around to refill waters. As context, I believe there was only one other table of diners in the atrium. The amuse-bouche was a nice touch, and, was actually quite good.

Gorgeous place to grab a drink. I was in town for a quick overnight trip for work; managed to find some friendly patrons to talk to while I had a late night snack. The bartenders give an unparalleled level of service. Even though the bar was busy, I felt pampered and special — unusual for a large city hotel bar, in my experience! Bar menu was a teeny bit limited, but suited my needs. Pricey, but not unreasonable when you consider the level of service and the ambiance.

I had dinner with friends here last night and was extremely disappointed in how bad the food was. I had seared scallops that tasted more like salt cubes. It was so salty that I could barely finish one piece as every bite required a gulp of water. My boyfriend had a medium-rare steak which came out way too rare and had no flavor. I tried a piece of it and thought I was chewing on bland beef. Maybe the chef accidentally poured his salt onto my scallops instead. The one nice thing about my experience was that our sweet waiter was nice enough to give us complimentary dessert for my friend’s birthday. It was a sweet gesture but it still didn’t make up for how bad the dessert was as well. It tasted like diner dessert which would be an unfair comparison as I’ve had better in a diner before. There are so many good places to eat in the city, but this is not one of them. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

I came here during restaurant week and was excited to try this place because I heard the chef is one of the top notch. Of course the menu was limited as expected from restaurant week. I was pleased with the mussels I order, I’m usually not a fan of mussels but this was actually very delicious. My main course was salmon, it was decent, there was a layer of foam-like substance on top of the salmon I guess was done for presentation but just didn’t look appetizing at all. The dessert was delicious as well. The service was spectacular, the manager kept on checking on our table and the waiter was attentive. It was not as busy as I thought for a restaurant week. Overall, I was not wowed by this place.

Went here for restaurant week last year and it was good, but not great. The portions were kind of small and the menu was VERY limited. I got the salmon tartar which was good and tried the caesar salad, which was all one big piece and grilled which was kinda weird. It’s a nice atmosphere and makes you feel fancy. I was kind of annoyed because we had a reservation and they made us wait at the bar and we felt obligated to get a drink while we were waiting. But then they forgot to transfer the drink to the bill so it was their loss!

I booked this a number of months ago knowing I was coming into town. I’ve been watching Eric Ripert’s celebrity appearances on the food network for years. Had a Saturday reservation with a few customers. So…Eric wasn’t waiting to greet me but we were seated quickly. The waiter had a bit of the Ritz attitude and was quite impatient and our indecision regarding wine and cocktails. I settled on the cucumber cooler. Very nice. The menu can best described as simple. The menu items are strightforward. I ordered the rock octopus and the chicken. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese. I kind of did this on purpose because I find octopus, chicken and mac and cheese three of the more difficult things to prepare perfectly. 10 Arts was bang on. Octopus was charred but no dry, chicken was moist and flavorful and the mac and cheese was rich and well balanced. My guests ordered a varierty including the strip steak and the«simply prepared» brook trout. I tried the steak… terrific. I returned the favour by sharing my mac and cheese. He couldn’t stop eating it. My other colleague insisted that the trout, despite consisting of nothing more than 2 pieces of fish and a half lemon covered by cheesecloth, was excellent. Dessert consisted of homemade sorbet and ice cream which were prepared nicely. The server eventaully warmed up. The open concept of the restaurant made for a noisy evening because there was a party in the hotel so conversation was tricky. All in all, a solid dinner… simple yet sophisticated.
