Got a killer closing store sale on dansko clogs. Only $ 72! Our local Manayunk store closed. Only 3 locations left. Always good for finding new and obscure brands that are comfy and attractive.

As a guy, I used to really like this store, maybe about 4 – 5 years ago. The selection was good, Tsubo, Merell, etc. They have turned into a chick store, though. The women’s shoes take up the entire front of the store, and the mens(a meager selection) are in the small raised area in the back. The lines they carry have decreased substantially, and for some, they only carry whole sizes. Service was pleasant, but don’t try to tell me that Tsubo’s only come in full sizes when I know the ½ size that I wear are available on the site. Prices are full retail, and the men’s shoes don’t go on sale until the very end of the run. Unfortunately for brick and mortar stores, they are excellent for seeing the product, but not for closing the sale. I went out to my car, so I would not be rude, and ordered the shoe I wanted in the ½ size for $ 50 less using Amazon Prime.

I meet a friend once in a while in Manyunk to catch up, smooze, eat and what not. She lovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss Benjamin Lovell’s. So I walk in and browse. Well do not expect bargain basement prices. But then again you do not see some of these brands in the shops at the mall. These are Nordstrom, Bloomingdale etc brands. So I’m looking and think to myself, I need another pair of shoes like a hole in the head. But they were so inviting. I’m not talking Dansko here. I’m talking Naot, Mephisto and… Wolky. I am in love. Getting comfortable shoes is a top priority to me. And yes I like stylish also, but I hate to dress up. Heels don’t work for me. And that is something to be said about Benjamin Lovell’s stock. Most items are geared for comfort. I found a pair of Wolky’s(who ever heard of this brand?) that I liked, A LOT. A little bit above my price range, but so comfortable. They did not have my size, but found them in their NJ store and shipped them to my house for free. I literally got them the next day. I love them. The shoes. I will return to store again cause you just can’t buy shoes online and expect them to fit. Or maybe you can-I can’t.

By far the best of the Benjamin Lovell branches! Great fashionable shoes that are super comfy. Its pricey, but if you’re lucky enough, you’ll catch one of those rare 20% off everything sales. If you’re unfortunate enough to wear Danskos to work(you know those sexy Danish clogs that feel like bricks on your feet but somehow manage to leave your feet unscathed after 12 hours of standing) than Benjamin Lovell is the place to go. Danskos rarely go on sale, but they’re all hand made and a size 8 in one box can fit very differently from another. They let me try on different shoes from different boxes and mix the two shoes I liked the best– now that’s customer service. They also offer free shipping so if they don’t have your size, they’ll order it for you and ship it for free directly to your door– awesome! Love this store– hope it doesn’t fall victim to Manayunk’s Main Street graveyard of shops– nothing stays in business here unless it serves beer :)

The customer service here is amazing. I’m a California implant to the Philly area and had about a million questions about winter boots. All of my questions were answered in super helpful ways by the sales staff, which was awesome.(I know nothing about this thing you all call winter…). Not only that, but I tried on about 6 pairs of boots, didn’t buy anything,(I have… particular …feet) and their excellent customer service didn’t let up. Awesome.
