Best dry cleaner in the city! Last time I was there they sewed a new button on a shirt of mine as I waited. Great cleaning and customer service! Would recommend this place to anyone.

DO NOT COME HERE! The owner’s son Mike is a arrogant jerk who screams at you and insults you. They screw up alterations constantly, mix up and lose dry cleaning! I am appalled by how horribly I was treated after spending so much money here for years! Absolutely disgusting! They would not even attempt to help me find out how they mixed up my $ 700 jacket. They said it’s not their problem and they don’t know what I do with my life??! Seriously DO NOT COME HERE OR SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THESE CROOKS! All the negative reviews you read are true.

It pains me to even give one star bc they deserve none! The main person who works there is one of the rudest people I ever met! He has no customer service or interpersonal skills at all! DON’T GO HERE bc you will end up being insulted AND dissatisfied with their service! I hope this place goes out of business.

I dropped three pairs of pants off here for dry cleaning. The price wasn’t too bad ($ 16.50), but when I got home I noticed two huge holes in the back of one of the pairs of pants that was not there before. I went in the very next morning with the pants and the receipt and was told that the rip was not due to the pants being pressed. I told them I didn’t know if it was from the pressing or not, but that the holes were not there before. They didn’t even say sorry and wouldn’t even pay the $ 5.50 for the dry cleaning I paid for that one pair of pants. I will not be coming back ever again.

Bobby Schorr’s does an okay job but they charge a lot for alterations and they never come back perfect. I’ve had similar experiences as the other reviewers, where the customer is never right here. I got about 5 items dry-​cleaned and they came back smelling like moth balls. When I brought them back, the owners said that it must have been something in my closet. (I have never used moth balls).
J-​Brite is a better local choice for your money. The costs are similar to Bobby Schorr’s, but the customer service is exemplary, the tailoring is always done to a high standard, and who can argue with free drive-​through parking!

After deciding on a well-​reviewed tailor on 11^th street (Sara’s A-​List Cleaners) the after-​work me decided walking nine blocks was silly when I have Bobby Schorr’s right around the corner from my apartment.
I came to Bobby Schorr’s with a dress and pants to dry clean along with pants I wanted hemmed, a skirt I needed a seam sewed up on and a shirt I wanted the sides taken in on. The young guy at the counter handled everything pretty easily, and it would be ready in 3 days. The cost was $ 50 for those five items. Reasonable.
I was pleased with how everything turned out. The dry cleaned items were neat and pressed, and the hemmed pants and the sewed seam in the skirt were perfect. My only gripe is the shirt, which is still too big even with the sides taken in, but perhaps I could have been more vocal during the pinning process. Or I shouldn’t have purchased a huge shirt. Oh well.
Anywho, if you’re close to Bobby Schorr’s I would say you can give them a try with confidence. A lot of people came in and out when I was there so they seem to do a lot of business.
Tip: They told me the minimum for any job is $ 5.

Worst dry-​cleaners ever. I took in a brand– new shirt worn once. They return it to me the first time with a large water stain on the back. I return it to them so they can get the stain out and it’s returned to me a second time with the tag half-​cut off, buttons missing and buttons chipped. When I called to explain that I would now have to replace expensive buttons because of their mistake, the manager, instead of apologizing, tried to minimize his employees’ mistakes and was not accommodating in any way, shape or form. Rude employees, bad service. Don’t go there.

I’ve loved this establishment for years now, until a recent misshap involving my favorite Burberry Suit. A seam came undone and I simply needed it resewn. Since I generally trust their work, I didn’t evaluate it upon picking it up. To my dismay, I noticed a catastrophic mess in the area that was repaired by their tailor the morning of a big event. I’m not an expert on alterations, but it appears as if it was treated with a glue gun. Considering I discovered the eye sore that morning, I had no choice but to wear this embarassment of a suit to my big engagement. Now, I have to eventually shell out a considerable amount of money for another Burberry or comparable suit. Even more, I’m in need of a new tailor! What a shame! It pains to me to write this review because they have been very friendly, reliable and great with quick turnarounds to date.

Had very unpleasant experience with owner over cleaning of shirts. Tried to tell me that the crushed collars they were delivering were OK. Rather than trying to fix, he told me to take my business elsewhere. I followed his suggestion!

I brought a queen-​sized comforter to be dry-​cleaned. It was cheaper than I expected it to be ($ 35). I dropped it off on a Friday, and they told me it would by ready by Monday, which it probably was, but I wasn’t able to return until the following Saturday to get it. Looked brand new when I got it back, whereupon the dogs promptly furred it up again. Friendly staff.

Well, well, well… look what the cat dragged in… ME. A bride in 2001. Who dropped off her dress to be preserved to the tune of $ 125. Who, for whatever reason NEVER picked it up. Depsite a few reminder calls through the years. And today, on St. Paddy’s Day, I stop in and say, «This may be crazy, but any chance you have my wedding dress from 9 years ago? It’s OK if you don’t, I do understand.»
And what to my wondering self should appear, but two seasoned employee/​owners who really do care!
And from the depths of storage and tulle and satin and silk, they unearth my gorgeous gown… VIRGINAL WHITE… acid free packed… and mine to pick up for only $ 25 more than what I agreed to pay 9 years ago… Both ladies were nicer than can be, and both very happy that I was finally in possession of my gown. And, YES, I am still married!!!

dont listen to elizabeth b. this place is the greatest in philly. if you need something done, holler at bobby schorr and they’ll do you right. ’nuff said.

I don’t have a lot of experience with tailors. Based on this experience, I don’t have much faith in them.
I received a pair of pants as a gift but they were about 2 sizes too big. Very simply constructed pants and I was assured they would be a cinch to take in. After extensive measuring and pinning I left the pants and came back several days later.
The difference was minute. Still too big. They said they would have to charge the $ 16 again to redo the tailoring. I don’t get it.
What happened to the pants, you ask? I put my own sewing skills to the test and turned the pants into a skirt. Maybe I should start my own tailoring business.

The nicest staff around. Pretty reasonable prices. I had couple of new pants hemmed. Great job.
