Brothers Jewelry

A recent realization has called me to add to my earlier review.
Unlike the State of California, Pennsylvania does not require businesses to notify customers of a «No Refund» policy. Without that protection, a consumer is left with few options: a) hope that their interaction is with a salesperson that is forthcoming and not instead an encounter that is plagued with deceit and connivance (which in my case, it was the latter) or b) one could avoid the hassle altogether and patronize a reputable establishment that owns a cash register and provides printed receipts with the return policy legibly printed (which in future circumstances, I certainly will). So much for being in support of the small, local, jewelry, business community; especially if my disastrous experience is standard of service.

Great service. Patiently helped me size my finger so I could have my ring resized by the original jeweler across the country. Will give them business in the future!

Adding to my earlier review from last year here… We also just went through Brothers for my fiancée’s wedding band, and once again, these guys were fantastic. Down to earth, friendly, patient, and made us feel taken care of. They made a special wedding band that fits the look and style of my fiancée’s engagement ring.
And for the record, the engagement ring they made for her has gotten more compliments from other women than I ever expected. She fills in every once in a while at her sister’s café and bakery at the front counter taking orders and there’s been countless women who’ve raved about it.
These guys are awesome. Hands down.

I recently worked with Mike to design my wedding band, and couldn’t have hoped for a better experience or end result. After looking at various other jewelers for a band to match my engagement ring and not finding what I needed, I was referred to Brothers for custom work. I’m glad I was, because Mike understood exactly what I wanted before I even finished explaining. The turnaround was quick, the price was fair, the service was helpful & friendly, and the ring is perfect!

Yes, it’s in an alley. And yes, the door is locked and you need to be buzzed in. But don’t let that fool you. I only knew this place was there because my now wife worked for one of the bigger stores on jeweler’s row and Michael from Brothers did a lot of work of their work.
I stopped by here as well as a number of other places when shopping for an engagement setting, but something about Brothers sold me as soon as I walked in the door. It’s awesome to know that the same person that is at the counter helping you pick out a ring is also going to go in the back and cast whatever you decide on. Who still does that? Probably not many places.

My finance and stopped at Brothers on one of our first days out ring shopping since they were the only place open and it was awesome! They made the whole experience comfortable and showed my GF at the time everything that she asked for. We both felt that we could trust them and she found what she wanted.
My fiancé loved a design that they made and told us that we wouldn’t be able to find it any where else and I couldn’t. I would recommend Brothers to anyone and will be going back for future Jewelry purchases.

I’m surprised that there aren’t any Unilocal reviews for Brothers Jewelry, as I saw many reviews posted on other sites. Brothers Jewelry has been a fixture on Jeweler’s Row for many years. I’m familiar with Mikhail’s work from when I used to work at a nearby jewelry store. I’m still in the jewelry industry but not in bridal. When it came time to get engaged, Brothers definitely was on my list of recommendations to my boyfriend.
Mikhail is old school. He’s the kind of person that people in the industry go to. If you want fresh baked cookies and free alcohol, go to Steven Singer. If you want straightforward service from an actual jeweler, go here. You’re not talking to a salesperson, you’re talking to a jeweler. I love the fact that the person helping you is the person making your ring. You have to ring a bell to get in because he is in the back working. His prices are good and his work is high quality.
I couldn’t be happier with my ring. When we went to pick it up, it was a little too big. Mikhail sized it for us in 5 minutes flat while we waited. I definitely recommend.
