Horrible, horrible, horrible! They ruined my eyebrows and destroyed my nails. Didn’t let them soak long enough for the gel polish to come off easily. Never coming back!

So, I’m sitting at work with damp, ashy feet, wet shoes and the same shitty polish I’ve had on my toes for the past few months when I had a second to swipe some color on them while the baby was asleep. Why, you ask? Because I went here on my lunch break(literally downstairs, same building) and asked how long it would be. «Pick color» was the response. I ‘pick color’, and am escorted to the chair. «How long?» «Unintelligible mumbling» was the reply this time. Roll up my dress pants, place my shoes next to the chair, sit my bag on the chair next to me(I don’t normally do this as it’s rude but I wanted to get settled then grab my ipad) and stick my feet in the water. I get a phone call, so I have my earpods(not pretentious, I have an iphone 5 and that’s what they’re called) in and am playing a game while talking. I hear someone say«water» and I look, there’s water overflowing from the basin everywhere because she left it running and then walked away. My shoes were wet, my bag fortunately was not. Fuck your floor, dry my shoes bish. By this time it was 12:20. I got there at 12:02. I ask again how long. «7 minutes.» Well, that’s pretty fucking precise. I wanted to test them on it but I wouldn’t have been able to get both feet polished and get back to work on time. I’m ecclectic, but not that much. So now I’m sitting at my desk with ashy feet, luckily hidden, with damp slightly odiferous shoes and wretchedly old polish that didn’t bother me that much until I was on the cusp of changing it into a pretty nude color. When you see me walking the streets of Philadelphia in my Old Navy flip flops and I have crusty toes, blame them, it’s not my fault this time. **They get 2 stars because I got a gel manicure yesterday and she was pretty speedy, I guess it’s quicker if you clip the person’s skin with the nails.

This is the City Nails in Penn Center — the Unilocal map is incorrect. Meanwhile some of the City Nails are good and others are disgusting. This one is in-between. The Guy who runs the place is very nice. They still use sub-par base & top coats and will try to pass them off as Essie or OPI. Come during a non-peak time and get better service. My daughter loves it here — but she’s 6. Meanwhile they have always been very kind and generous to her.

They are pretty friendly here. I especially like the guy. There is one lady in there who is pretty nasty-anyone would be able to pick her right out as soon as they walk in. I agree with the previous reviewer who said they rush you. I got a pedi there not long ago and it lasted all of about ten minutes. I felt very used. They are willing to fix their mistakes usually, however I prefer a place that doesn’t make them in the first place. But, they are located so close to my work I will more than likely go back.

This salon is OK! Beware do not go on lunch time they will rush your pedi or any other service… I went recently for a polish change that was ok I would never go for full services… they accept credit cards

Your basic nail salon. They’re friendly enough, they do a good job and the location is convenient(Penn Center, right across from City Hall). I have no idea why Unilocal lists this location as Mt. Airy.
