This place is awesome! How have I not heard about this sooner? I was nervous at first that this show wouldn’t be that funny because it was a ‘family show’ but was I proved completely wrong. These people are hysterical. They do a great job of getting the audience involved and even sang a birthday song to my boyfriend. My only word of advice is buy your tickets online and in advance! We got to the 7:30 show and it was sold out so we just came back for the 10:00 show. No big deal, but I would definitely plan ahead if you could. Five stars all the way, would definitely come back!

I had a great time with my friend here at Comedy Sportz last night for a New Years Eve show. My friend was a guest judge and the comedy was very funny, entertaining and one of the actresses in particular was excellent! It was very nice that we and all audience members were given free pizza and beverages during intermission. The acting was very well done and for only $ 35, it was a great deal! I had a lot of fun and I would love to come back!

This is the best Improv comedy shows I have ever seen. All the people there are great and the show is the best. It’s different every time which is why I like it so much

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of improv but they really won me over. It is a really energetic show that keeps moving. They also give away prizes and I like free things. Definitely recommend it, better than the bar scene!

The regular comedy sports show is witty and full of laughs and really worth every penny(although compared to other venues, you don’t spend too many Pennies!). Everyone is cheerful and wants to make sure you have a lot of laughs before you head home. The blue show is also very good but that does take time to warm up to. We did go for a special caption show which was good but probably the reason I have given it a 4 and not a 5 star — it was just ok. However, for the regular and blue show this is a hands down 5 star experience.

Inexpensive Saturday night out! It’s low key, interactive and just a great time for a group of friends! It’s BYOB and I’ve seen people bring their dinner too. They usually have deals on .

How do I put this… it’s just not that good. I think I laughed twice during a show this weekend. One couple in the audience left after intermission and another group left in the middle of a sketch. Two or three of the six people onstage were kind of talented, but the grouping felt awkward. Overall just not funny or interesting. I don’t think the format works well either. The referee wasn’t funny, and he talked way too much explaining all of the games. Ninety percent of the time he was asking for suggestions from the same group of ten people on the left side, which did not make it very interactive.

ComedySportz is awesome! I went to the 7:30PM show on a Saturday night. I didn’t realize that the theater was BYOB, so I wish I would have known that in advance. This is a great, inexpensive way to have fun on a Saturday night. I went with some of my grad school colleagues. We are working on a project on Team Development and used this as a team bonding opportunity. At the end of the show we got to meet the players and take photos with them. It was so great to see how passionate they are about improv comedy! Another good tip — they offer $ 14 student tickets, which you can purchase at the door. I was worried that the tickets would sell out and my team and I wouldn’t get in, so I contacted them ahead of time. They were so helpful and they graciously saved 6 tickets for us at will call to guarantee that we could get seats! So wonderful! Thanks ComedySportz!

A fun, inexpensive night. The place holds about 75 people, and it’s just a byob theater(no tables, service or anything so bring your own cups!). The improv comedy performers were good — three men and three women(I thought the men were stronger than the women). There is a «referee»(I think her name was Kate) who hosts the whole thing. She spoke way too much, which got annoying. She had to set up every«game» with audience suggestions but after a while it became frustrating because we just wanted to see the performers and we grew tired of stupid suggestions! But the actors managed it well. You also have to keep things clean, which for the 10pm show doesn’t make sense to me. Nevertheless, if she could shorten her schpiel it would be more of a good inexpensive night out.

My friend Rita has been going to ComedySportz for a long time… She’s been trying to get me and my wife to come out, but it just never worked out that we could go. I found a ticket deal on and bought my friends and I tickets for 10pm on Saturday, 1⁄31. I was pretty excited about it, being a first timer – I love Who’s Line and improv in general. The show didn’t disappoint! I love the sports theme, the fact that there is a ref, that it’s BYBO and that everyone is so friendly and in a good mood! I was hoping I wouldn’t get called on, because I’m shy by nature, and I wound up on stage to play«Hey Waiter!» It wasn’t as scary as I thought(you can’t even see anyone because of the bright lights) and the players and audience were so nice and supportive! It made it painless and very fun. The players were all so funny! Kristen & Sue were my favorites and I also loved Ref Dave(also, he’s pretty cute!)! Awesome, funny, and kind people. Best part about it is that it’s different every time you go. Loved my experience and we’ll be back! Would definitely recommend.

Took a group of coworkers to the show last night which was part of a Christmas gift. Don was so accommodating with setting up the tickets which were from a gift certificate purchased Cyber Monday. Don not only set up the tickets in advance he reserved a row of 10 for us. Then the show itself was a lot of laughs. We have already talked about doing it again some time soon. A great value and a really nice group outing.

I’ve been here a couple of times and on November 29th I decided to go a third time to celebrate turning 27 for the 9th time! I had a blast as always. They are SO funny and I will never understand how the person guesses the gibberish game haaahaa! Afterwards they took pics with me and my crew and gave me lots of Happy Birthday wishes. If you haven’t made it here yet, you MUST go!

Awesome thing to do with friends on a Saturday night. Funny, mostly clean, lots of audience interaction but in a very non confrontational way. Bring a sandwich and some beer too! Oh, and it’s a family show but I’ve never seen a child at the 10pm show.

We had a lot of fun, and there were some clever gags. It was especially cool to be there on Geek Night. And yes, I recognize the irony of that statement. ;)

I went to the 10pm Saturday night show last weekend, and it was really a wonderful performance — great people(off stage, too), hilarious routines, interactive sets, and an intimate feeling in the small three-sided theatre. The New Jersey Turnpikes VS the Pennsylvania Fighting Amish were really hysterical. At every turn, the audience had a chance to shout out answers, vote on moves, and participate in various ways. I made a huge mistake by pointing out my friend to jump on stage to take the lead in one act… and instead, I was pulled up on stage! I was the main character in a «Yes/No» game, and got my picture taken with the crew in the end. This place is BYOB and the tickets are fairly cheap. I’d definitely encourage anyone to attend to check it out.

Come here if you don’t know the meaning of LOL, LMFAO, or ROFL. This improv comedy is excellent! The price is just right and the entertainment value is superb. They are a fun and family friendly comedy show. Its appropriate for all ages. The venue is small, seats apx 60 people, but they have two shows Saturday nights 7:30pm and 10pm. They do offer adult shows call the Blue Show a couple times a month, but I never saw that one. At any show you can bring your own food and drinks(alcohol too). But they do ask for everyone to not get tipsy. The performers act on spot, pull jokes from left and right, and can make you laugh at the silliest things. They are very good at what they do. Its just like Who’s Line Is It Anyway. I had a great time here, and will definitely book tickets for another show. Its a solid 2 hours well spent!

ComedySportz is the best improv show in Philadelphia! It takes me back to the days of watching Whose Line is it Anyway with Drew Carey. They use a lot of the same improv games that were used on the show, and they make it truly interactive with the audience. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to the show for free since they offer free tickets for getting the Suggestion of the Night, and if you visit them during your birthday month, too!

I went to the Blue Show, which they only do 2x a month. I had a great time. The actors were funny and I would definitely go again. I did get annoyed with the audience tho. Becasue the host would ask for suggestions and people who yell out stuff that was crazy or didn’t make sense. Like someone said«they should be pretending to play football with a monkey fetus» WTF!!! who would think to say some ish like that. Smh

The folks who performed here are truly energetic and brilliant at what they do. The show is fun and interactive. I did laugh quite a bit. I would recommend it to anyone. But let me warn anyone who comes in here. Personally, my comedy tastes tend to run more to the jaded stand-up style. So I’d be lying if I didn’t occasionally find the schtick here a tad corny. I suppose that’s just part of the game. If that’s your style, then this place is good for you. But if you come in here expecting stand up comedy type material, you won’t get that. Well, occasionally a good topical line will slip in there, and it’s memorable when it does. Maybe I need to come back for the«blue» show. I might find that right up my alley.
