Dunkin’ Donuts

I have to give this place 5 stars for how hard the employees seems to work here. In the past few weeks they’ve made some welcomed changes. They have The line streamlined and there are about 5 people waiting to get your ordered and then 2 people to ring you up. Sometimes j prefer other coffee places but if I’m in a hurry or running late this is always my go to. I’m in and out the door in about 2 mins. Maybe 5 tops if there is a long line. But they really move you in and out quickly.

I’m just going to stick to the coffee here. The breakfast burritos are questionable.

I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel… I got a bagel smothered in butter. When I looked in the bag it didn’t look like what I ordered so I asked if it was a sausage egg and cheese bagel. I was told yes. After walking to work I sit down and find this disgusting bagel. It wasn’t even that busy.

I’m a true lover of Dunkin, although this morning solidified for me why I never order more than just coffee & the occasional dount/​munchkins here. I ordered a bagel toasted with butter. However, what I received was a toasted bagel which first had cream cheese spread onto it (then the cream cheese scraped off) upon which butter was then spread. The bagel was cold, and since there was a thin layer of cream cheese between the bagel & the butter, the butter never melted. SO, cold toasted bagel, with a cold mixture of cream cheese & solid butter. Yuck, no thanks. Dunkin, I really do want to love all that you do… but you’re making it incredibly hard!
Advice: stick to just the beverages and donuts (but ONLY in the morning hours when they’re freshly baked… I still have a few memories of receiving hard/​stale donuts in the evening hours at various Dunkin locations). Staff at this location is always friendly, and moves quickly to get out the early morning rush. Just make sure to know what you want as soon as you get in, because like I said, they like to move the line along quickly.

Came here since it was close to my hotel. Got a donut and it was not fresh. Service was okay. Had a good selection of donuts. Not the cleaniest location that I’ve been to. Service was okay. It was not busy at all.

The media has been suspiciously silent about the fact that Dunkin’ Donuts has only had the large straws this summer.

This location is smaller than some.

It was so nice being reunited with DD on my recent trip to Philly. I am obsessed with their caramel latte. Don’t change it to the skim milk it will taste completely different. When it’s made with artifical sweeteners it also taste weird so just get it as is. Trust me you won’t regret it! I am not a huge donut person but I enjoy their munchkins. The red velvet and pumpkin flavors are especially tasty.

Coffee and donuts — pretty simple formula for the chain. I also tried the ‘wake up wrap’. If you are traveling and want something quick, they do a good job. Can’t say their donuts are the best, but they are consistent. Wake up wrap was fine but nothing epic, just fast food.

Been coming to this DD for 5 years — but no more. Last Sunday I ordered an iced coffee and then — yes, I succumbed to temptation — asked if I could get a combo deal. The lady at the counter asked me what I wanted. I ordered a blueberry muffin (blueberries are very healthy — right?). And then it happened — smiling sweetly, the lady gave me my bill total. Not the combo deal, but rather the full price of the iced coffee and the muffin. «What happened to the combination price?», I asked. «Oh,» she said, no longer smiling — perhaps because she had been caught — «we don’t do that for iced coffee, only hot coffee.» When I pointed out that she might have told me that when I first asked about the combo, she told me she would take the muffin back — and then, looking around at the other marks waiting to be served, she pointed out that DD really didn’t need my business. Guess not.

What is it about Dunkin Donuts? Their low low prices? The fact that they are few and far betwen where I’m from? The sugary film that the donuts leave in your mouth? I can’t decide, but I don’t mind it.
Of course, I prefer Krispy Crème, the far superior donut. But since they do not exist in Center City Philadelphia, DD will have to do.
I chose to review this particular Dunkin Donuts because it’s essentially the only one I go to, as I pass it every morning on my way to work AND because the guy who makes the bagels and sandwiches is great. Order something and wait for him to call out your order once it has been prepared. It is wonderful. Especially at 8am on a Monday. EGG AND CHEESE ON ENGLISH MUFFIIIIN!
