I typically don’t write reviews, but Ed’s deserves an exception. Because of its location(Univ. City), Ed’s draws a lot of business from the local universities. I work on Drexel’s campus and have ordered and eaten from this establishment before. If you LOVE good food as I do, this place would get a «C-» .the food is average and may be cold by the time it gets to you, but since your starving by then, you suffer through the meal greatful to have eaten. Today after paying in advance, they got my order wrong. I ordered a Turkey Club with no tomotoes. The idiot taking the order sent a Turkey Club with no bacon. When I called to let them know, they acted as if I didn’t know what I ordered. because the idiot had«no bacon» on my receipt. After some back n forth another idiot said, she could«send» me a side of bacon. By now I’m just hungry and pissed. so I said no. and decided to write this review. Philly is chock full of excellent restaurants and pizzeria’s.so steer clear of Ed’s and find a spot that will treat you, your order, and your food with proper respect, care, and attention!!!

I recently moved to San Diego from Philly and the thing I am missing most is Ed’s buffalo chicken pizza. This pizza is my all time favorite. I wish they could ship 10 of them to me to hold me over until I am back in Philly ! Next time you are in Philly you have to stop by… you won’t regret it !

This place is great. I used to go every Wednesday while hanging out nearby with friends. I can’t make it in as much but it’s always a treat when I do. The service is fast and friendly. The prices and food are good. What more can you want.

i do not recommend this place to anyone. before you order you have to look behind the counter how dirty is the place. i ordered pizza slices and wings; the slices were with less cheese and cold … and the girl who was in the morning(i think she is from south america) was so rude and stupid… please clean your place and reduce your prices … i will never eat there again

I use them for large events on Penn’s campus. It’s totally fine, reasonably priced, and normally on time. That being said, I was going to give three starts, but they were over 30 minutes late for a delivery last week, which was a bummer since I’d reassured a colleague that they wouldn’t be late. I haven’t tried the wings or salads, but the cheese pizza is fine.

Their pizza would be 100% better if they used like 15% more cheese. So much of the pizzas arent covered with cheese.

Ed’s delivery service is unreliable. Do not use your card to pay for your food. I recommend cash, so that you may refuse the food in case it arrives ice cold like my pizza. Ed’s delivered the pie about 80 minutes after I ordered..

Great option for pizza and cheesesteaks — they have options for halal and vegan pizza. here is my review of Rana Halal(which is connected to Eds): –Decent halal /middle eastern food. Shawarma, kafta, kabobs, gyros — and open late night. They also do halal version of American food — halal pizza and cheesesteaks. Also have vegan options for pizza.

I haven’t eaten all day… you could just imagine how hungry I am. I just ordered and threw away my meal. Worst wings I’ve ever had, eds special sauce is horrible! Please don’t even think about getting the stale cheese fries… very disappointed. Horrible!

Buffalo chicken pizza. loved that it was halal and made fresh upon order… had too much blue cheese and not enough chicken on it, had excess hot sauce but not enough buffalo sauce… seemed a bit off but some of the flavors were still there Wings…only the boneless wings are halal, the mango habanero were really good, not burn-your-face spicy but still had good spice and flavor combo. The nuclear wings were really good too, not too spicy but could have used a bit more sauce to coat them properly. Super helpful and kind staff, prompt service for this hole in the wall dining spot.

We placed an order for a group and everyone enjoyed it! They even had a vegan pizza which, for people like me who can’t have dairy, is, in itself, a winner for even offering this! And I have to say, it was fantastic! I got it with all the veggies and they use real mushrooms! Another check in the win column! The service was wonderful. They called in the morning to confirm delivery time and were responsive because we happened to order during move out day which held up the driver a little. We will definitely order from here again!

My Dearest Ed’s, You are a staple to my college experience(and my diet). You are always there for me when pizza cravings come knocking at my door, or late night milk shakes become necessary. Your menu is vast and never leaves me wanting, only pondering which of your many items I will choose from to satisfy my craving for low-nutritional value. I have tried your pizza, cheese steaks, salads, clubs, fried assortments, milkshakes and more. I have never been disappointed in the quality or quantity you provide for the price I pay. The chicken Caesar salad is by far one of the best things on your menu. There is always more chicken than I can imagine and the side of buttery toasted bread makes me smile. You also never fail me when I have vegan friends at parties; I know they will be satisfied with your vegan pizza offerings. I feel safe in your menu as it is inclusive of many walks of life with carnivore, omnivore, vegetarian, vegan and halal options. The speed at which you complete my food does not go without thanks. My pizza is always warm and gooey when I pick it up. And when I order extra cheese, you always deliver above and beyond my hopes and dreams of blocked arteries. Thank you for the delicious memories, I will return again and again and again as I have in the past.

Overpriced so-so food and horrible service. It took 20min AFTER placing my order for them to heat up my 1 slice of pizza. The lady at the register was also extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked for sauce to go with my wings and she completely disregarded me. I am boycotting Ed’s for life.

Why don’t I ever get sick of this place… It’s such a problem. My boyfriend and I love to late night munch at Ed’s, we are actually addicted to their BBQ chicken pizza. It’s the best we’ve ever tried in all pizzerias! It’s now our thing to get Ed’s, we call it the«OG.» It’s that good.

Eds pizza never disappoints. Though ordering can be a bit of a wait due to long lines and seating is often limited, the food is always delicious. Personally, I always get a slice of BBQ chicken pizza– the best BBQ chicken pizza in the Drexel area(so dont waste your time or money going anywhere else). For side orders, I highly recommend the curly cheese fries. This order takes longer than most items on the menu but its definitely worth the wait. Overall, great place to dine when you don’t feel like walking too far from campus and not in the mood to spend too much.

This is the best pizza I’ve had in Philly. Everything here is good– you can not go wrong. Fries, yum. Sammies, yum. Burgers? Bring it on. Wings, INCREDIBLE. Try the Ed’s sauce– seriously. Your life will change. Also, they have the nicest staff, the best hours, and the cleanest establishment. I walk mega distances to continue my loyalty to patron Ed’s.

I rely on Ed’s for large deliveries for work events, usually around 5pm. They have always arrived in a timely fashion and are quick to give me discounts for specials they are running, even when I don’t reference them. They do a good job with their cheese pizzas, but I’ve also been impressed by the buffalo chicken and other specialty pizzas. The salads have also been fresh and tasty. The students really seem to enjoy it because there are rarely leftovers.

Wellll. It took 50 minutes for my delivery to arrive. Placed my order at 11:38pm and it arrived around 12:30am for 1 cheese steak, a slice of cheese pizza and a basket of chicken tenders and a milkshake. That’s a bit long in my opinion for those items. Pizza: COLD. So was the delivery driver late, or did they lack to heat the food up, I don’t know. I didn’t eat the other two items, BUT their saving grace was the chicken tenders! Super tender, juicy on the inside hot and crispy on the outside. That’s the sole reason they have 3 stars instead of 2.

Great place to grab some wings when you go to school nearby. Places closes pretty late, so if you are looking for a midnight snack. it will still be open! The food comes out relatively fast, so its not a long wait. The wings are a bit of a hit and miss cause sometimes they taste a little bit old or over cooked and sometimes its great. I order takeout from here alot, it takes like 30 minutes at most.

Ed’s is definitely the cheapest place in the University City area. My review is based on my experience with its catering. Cheap and accommodating. Food is what you’d expect for pizza and wings so I don’t have a lot to say about the food. Expect to be full and feeling greasy after having Ed’s wings or pizza. Staff is really nice in my experience at least over the phone.
