This restaurant has reopened asTony Luke’s Casa di Pasta. Had the chicken francaise that was delicious. Also had chicken parmigiana and tiramisu– equally delicious.

I used to really like this place, until it changed to «Tony’s Flat Iron.» Now I doubt I’ll ever go back. All of the good appetizers I used to get have been taken off the menu. It’s virtually the same menu as Tony Luke’s right across the street. I don’t like the food there so I didn’t bother trying it here since the sign outside advertised it as the same food. One of the only differences is this place serves booze, but all the good craft beers are gone too. I ordered a mixed drink, which had basically a drop of alcohol, and left. Service was okay but not as good as previous visits. I had wanted this place to succeed before and always recommended it to friends, but this last visit was very disappointing.

Heard great things about this place and we finally came to check it out only to find that two weeks before our visit it was bought out by Tony Luke’s. What a disappointment! We bought a Living Social coupon, our first experience with the company, intending to use it at Flat Iron only to find out that the new owners are not honoring it. Such a bad business practice! As for the food, I can’t say anything since I opted not to try it, though I had originally intended to dine for lunch. If I wanted Tony Luke’s food I would have gone to Tony Luke’s across the street! I ordered a beer before I discovered the disappointing change of ownership, Joe by Philadelphia Brewing Company, a beer I usually enjoy, but it tastes like the lines need to be cleaned or something. Overall disappointing, I will not be coming back and Living Social will be getting a phone call so we can get our refund.

BADBUSINESSPRACTICE, I went here today with a «living social deal», mindful that I have been here many times under the business different names and themes and paid full price. There has always been things that I like and dislike about this place but I will not say the good things and give them free advertisement. I was told they will not honor the living social deal because they changed the name to «Tony’s flat iron«, I mentioned to our waitress that the signage is the same«flat iron» and the owner is the same, as he was at the business. She said it was out of her hands. I have finally made up my mind about this long stagnant business, you try it for yourself if you like. By the way, the food is «just ok»!!!

First visit we stopped in for happy hour(about 4:20(1 star). They advertise happy hour from 4 to ’ 7. It’s on the website, on the sign in the street and wrapped on the building. Sat at the bar and they told us it «happy hour is at 5″, ok.. Service was slow. Ordered the prosciutto stuffed wings(free with Unilocal check-in) that were small, dry and flavorless. Had enough and there was an issue with the bill. Tried to overcharge for a bar gin and tonic and the wings. Finally fixed the check and we left, Second visit was for the Unilocal-O-Ween Event(I gave 3 stars), Again bar service was awful. The only menu item was the rice and beans stuffed wings that were dry and flavorless. Won scariest costume and won a gift certificate. I’m thinking ‘Now we have to go back because I am a glutton for punishment». Michelle and I went for the third time before the Stevie Wonder concert. Eagles Packers were on and we sat at a table in the bar area. Each table has its own flat screen. We settled in and ordered some drinks. Started with the beer battered string beans with wasabi dipping sauce that were pretty good. Michelle ordered a burger that was cooked a little more than requested. I had to try the jacked mac and cheese burger. It was a heart attack on a plate. The burger was cooked perfect with bacon sandwiched between a mac and cheese bun. The bottom bun got soggy from the excess grease. I flipped it over to the crunchy side and went to town. They have some kind of challenge if you finish the plate but no way I was going to try. Our waitress was was quick with the drinks and this is the visit that I could see what this place is actually striving to be. Still got to stay with the three stars because this was a pleasant visit.

Food was great but service was very poor for a late lunch. They gave us an appitizer for free. No where to go but up at this spot.

Went here on a cheat night after a gym workout, «hoping» to embrace in cholesterol heaven and so I ordered the jacked mac n cheese burger and instead I just got the cholesterol and the urge to puke out my food. The«supposedly» innovative mac n cheese bun came out cold and bland and very greasy. It tasted pre-cooked, placed in the fridge and warmed back up but not all the way bc it was still cold. The other parts of the burger was also forgettable and none of the parts meshed well together. The wait staff was nice and they do offer a nice beer selection but I was very disappointed hoping to eat the next big thing.

Only two stars because the fries were good as was the mozzarella half Moon appetizers. The cheese steak sandwich was not good. Cheese not melted and bread not warm. They screwed up bill charging for fried onions and happy hour drinks. Manager seemed a bit indifferent. Wouldn’t recommend. I’m sure a city this large has restaurants that make great food and treat customers well.

Went here yesterday evening for Wired 96.5’s ladies’ night(well open bar and beer for the XX persuasion from 9 – 11). The décor in here was amazing and even for a Wednesday they know how to keep a small crowd even after the weekly promotion ended. Definitely a little more club than sports bar, but, that vibe is there as well on the opposite side of the room. Very clean spot down to the restrooms. The bartender that was on call for the night, a blonde, was very accomodating and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Alcohol and vibes plus service are in check. What garners the 5th shining star? The food. Amazing. We simply shared an order of the beer-battered green beans. They were perfect and not greasy at all. A very good portion as well. The wasabi sauce that came with complimented them finely, as well. Want the rest of the menu. NAO. Will definitely return.

My wife, 2 friends, and I all decided to get waiter service here when the the event they were throwing didn’t really serve any of their staple items. Once we asked for menus, boy, did service take a change. They were actually happy and nice now. What happened to treating everyone equally? I don’t like fake personalities and this place really shows it. We really wanted to give the Jack Mac burger a shot because it sounded and looked really good, so that’s what we decided to get to split. We also ordered the grilled fish tacos that was served with spanish rice. Oh we also ordered a side of onion rings. Jack Mac burger — looks great, but the taste was not there. Also, «Bread» portion(the fried mac was the bread) to meat also was not there. Waaaaay to much mac to such a small patty. They need to season the mac with salt or something bc it was very bland. The only thing that was amazing were the fries. Fish tacos — bland again. and the tortilla it was on was cold and hard. I couldn’t finish it. What a waste. Oh, and the«spanish rice» it was served with was beyond mush! Since when does spanish rice look like risotto but taste like throw up? Onion Rings — didn’t come with any special sauce. :-(It needed something, not just ketchup Overall — Save your money and just go across the street…

Ew! The only reason for 2 stars and not one is because the service was nice and refilled my water quickly. Also, I thought the price was pretty reasonable. Wasn’t too expensive. Onto the review of the food… just skip it. We ordered Jack mac burger and fish tacos to split between 4 people. We already had some items from an event that was being held there and wasn’t hungry to have full meals to ourselves. The burger either needed to have thinner fried mac n cheese or a thicker patty. There was way too much mac and cheese and not enough meat. It was so heavy that I couldn’t even finish a quarter of the sandwich. It was also in need of salt and pepper. The mac was beyond bland. I never knew cheese could be bland… Fish tacos is also a skip. It came with spanish rice(if you could even call it that!) It was a disgrace. So wet and flavorless. Fish tacos had brown avacados in it and the taco part was hard, cold, and completely fell apart. So so sad. They really need to shape up if they want to make it in the Philly food scene.

This is a review on their rice and beans chicken wings, sure it’s a bonus that you get so much stuffing in the wings but the exterior was really dry. I like my wings juicy and saucy and when I bit into the wing, the rice and beans seemed to have soaked up all the moisture from the chicken hence, the dry wings. Service is terrible here, slow and understaffed. Just save your money and go across the street to Tony Luke’s.

Ordered an appetizer and needed a minute to decide on entrees. A random Waitress took our menus but not our order. Waited a good 10 minutes from ordering appetizer to entrees. Had to grab our waiter to get beers, no one offered or asked. Entrees finally come out and the sriracha ranchero burger came out with avocado and no salsa. Not supposed to have avocado despite the waiter telling us it should have avocado. Don’t know why they wouldn’t put avocado on the menu or the picture on the website if it comes with avocado. Wings were decent, burgers were also good. Service was slow and poor. Was not busy and the staff seemed to struggle. I’d hate to see them perform when the place is busy. Gave it a shot, don’t think we’ll be returning.

Venue — The place is large(2 floors), clean, and has more of a club — feel to it than a typical sports bar. I would say it’s a hybrid sports bar and club. There was a private party going on upstairs and they offer catering for these events. The downstairs was completely empty when my friend and I first arrived around 9 pm. It was a Monday night, sure, but the Phils were playing, so I guess this place just isn’t too popular yet. Food — I ordered the ABC Burger($ 11) and it was good, but not special. The fries are really good. When the game is on they do a half dozen Coronitas for $ 7. My friend ordered the Jacked Mac’n’Burger($ 12.50) which is a burger with formed, fried mac’n’cheese patties as the bun. He finished it in under 20 minutes, so not only was that meal free, but we received a $ 25 gift card, so our bill came to $ 1.26! Service — The bartender was nice and attentive. He was also supportive of my friend during the burger challenge, so he gets extra points.

Great food and service. Good beer selection. Perfect spot for before or after a game or anytime for that matter. Had the burger which was fresh not frozen. Very good.

Was here earlier today and I was very disappointed! While ordering my burger I told my waitress that I didn’t want any salsa on my burger, but she told me that no modifications were allowed!!! I then asked if I could add bacon, to which she responded«no modifications»!!! Right on the bottom of the menu underneath the burgers it says that bacon costs an extra 50 cent so why couldn’t I add it to mine!!! I think it was because I am a large handsome Hispanic male(a «Papi») and the waitress was racist af!!! I also asked for not too much ice in my soda and she told me «no modifications»!!! Wtf!!! Anyways this has gotten to be a long review. Please don’t eat here ok.

Food portions are huge. Drink selection is huge. Atmosphere is good and everything tasted good. The jacked burger is massive so don’t order an appetizer. It was good though and the chef gave us a thing of krimpets afterwards.

The food is amazing. The stuffed wings were delicious. Who would’ve thought stuffing prosciutto and cheese in wings would’ve been so good. I tried the jacked Mac and cheese burger but epically failed the first time I came. The second time I tried the steak entrée on the menu and it was like butter perfectly cooked. They also had live music. Great place for everyone especially for greedy people like me

Ate here before a Phillies’ game on 7÷12÷14. Very nice, clean restaurant and my beef sandwich with provolone and onions was great. The servers are young and very pretty! The back of their shirts have a funny saying: «Spooning Leads To Forking, Use Condiments»
