Helene Halstuch

I’ve been seeing Helene on and off for nearly 15 years. I have 2 herniated discs and I am pretty sure she’s saved me from surgery — or at least having to take lots of ibuprofen. Helene is extremely knowledgable and has helped keep me moving. Her maternity massages are wonderful. Professional, knowledgable and personable. Very highly recommend.

Helene is very knowledgeable about body mechanics. She takes great interest in getting you to your goals whether it is improved performance, flexibility and mobility, pain relief, or overall well being.

Helene Hatstuch is a marvel of medical massage. She has kept me through the grueling hours of transcribing audio interview files and typing a dissertation. I continue to need her services as I grade student papers and write my books. When I slipped and fell on a rain-​soaked tile floor, she was able to ease the muscle spasms in my low and mid-​back, so that I could stand upright and function again. Regular visits to this therapeutic practitioner feel important to me — like part of my regular medical care. She has knowledge of, and utilizes, a wide range of techniques. She is always sensitive to the client’s levels of tolerance for pressure on sore tissues. At the same time, she is also sensitive to my demand for deep work that releases all the stresses and strains of my modern (and sedentary) writer’s/academic’s life that tries to settle into my ligaments and muscles. She eliminates the burning and tingling caused by my perpetual sitting, and keeps away the ravages of the small, receptive motion injuries I daily inflict on my own wrists/​arms/​neck/​shoulders/​back.
