I used to work at Charlie’s (pronounced Chah-​Leez by the regulars). You won’t find a more helpful pharmacist in the world. Totally old school place that has been around for years. It was a pleasure to work there as a teen, and my family and I remain loyal customers there today.

I grew up around the corner from Henneberry’s, but everyone in the neighborhood called it «Charlie’s» after the owner/​pharmacist. It’s a little neighborhood staple, with the regulars hanging out by the counter sharing the latest gossip. This was my corner store for over 15 years, and my go to spot for tokens, candy, or anything else. My mom still has prescriptions filled here rather than at the CVS a few blocks away. All in all, a true Fairmount establishment and neighborhood gem.
