Great iced coffee(GreenStreet)! Sandwiches and cookie were also delicious and a really cool art exhibit up currently too. Stop in.

Who knew the library had such a GEM?! Friendly and warm staff, delicious coffee and sandwiches at lowest prices in the neighborhood! Telling all my friends about this little spot to grab a book and relax. Any initiative sponsored by Project HOME has my full attention and support. Can not wait to get back in here soon! Definitely worth checking out when you’re around the library.

The man behind the counter had a horrible attitude and forgot to tell me that they were out of coffee(espresso) AFTER I ordered it. Would recommend passing this pathetic establishment and heading to the nearest Starbucks.

Here is why I LOVE this café. First, it was started by an amazing organization(Project H.O.M.E.) that assists formerly homeless individuals find and keep housing as well and multiple outreach and job programs. They are breaking the cycle of homelessness as we speak. Second, the café staff is very welcoming and helpful. When I went into the café I was wearing my Americorps uniform and I had a great conversation with the cashier about what I do and what her organization does. Third, I love being able to find coffee and snacks in a Library. Their goods are reasonably priced and in a perfect place. Finally, this is a great place get work done. There are plenty of plugs for laptops and ample amount of counter space to spread out. Overall this is a great little place to get coffee!

The H.O.M.E Page café is pretty much an unsuspecting hole in the wall, ostensible only if you don’t feel like going to Philbrick and pass by on your way up the stairs. Lucky for me, I was around when they started! This café offers a lovely assortment of tasty snacks. You’ll find cookies, lemon bars, bagels, croissants, chips, and other cool things like chicken salad or gingerbread. Order a cup of joe or hot chocolate on the side. I’ll recommend the strawberry yogurt– it’s so unbelievably sweet and base at the same time… yum! You can also support Project H.O.M.E by buying a t-shirt or two. Every employee I’ve encountered was courteous and kind. If you have time, come on over! The only downside is the limited seating. Depending on what time you go, all the seats may or may not be taken. Well, at least it’s a sign of good things. I think I’m complete… with books, internet and food, I don’t have a reason to leave, except for closing!

Cute little café with reasonably priced food and drinks. There are workstations and plenty of tables to sit at. They were a little dirty but otherwise not much to complain about. I’d come here again.

This café is nestled right in the central branch library of Philadelphia on the first floor! Yup, you can go to the library, grab a cup of coffee and read your library books in the café! I attended the Philadelphia Free Library Festival and discovered the authors who I wanted to see were in the Writer’s Salon, adjacent to café! They sell 3 types of Starbuck’s coffee(BOLD, MEDIUM&LIGHT) roasts and lots of baked goods from Metropolitan Bakery. There’s counter top space and a few tables. I think it’s great to support this café, since it is a part of . The café employs people who were once homeless and are getting back in the work force.

I love The H.O.M.E. Page, from its play on words to its delicious treats and creative sandwiches to its service with a smile. Tucked away in the main branch of the Free Libary, it’s a great use of formerly dead space. As if this wasn’t enough of a reason to visit, it is completed with a hot spot for wi-fi and supports a great cause – getting people employed and meaningful training to increase their skills!
