Today was my 2nd visit. First time I had breakfast with amazing biscuits! Get the biscuits… just get them. However, today I was challenged because I’m currently doing the whole30, which is basically no dairy, no bread, no grain, no sugar, no preservatives, and no fun, soooooo, what do I eat? I got salad, switched a few things, which they were super cool about and left off the dressing. Salad was meh, a salad, can’t be too mind blowing without some of the fun toppings or dressings to spice it up. But, my meal was totally saved by the two special sides I ordered and was praying for them to be good. I ordered the sauteed brussel sprouts with garlic and olive oil, and beets made with orange juice and parsley, a chilled dish. These were both amazing! I would go back for these two sides alone if they were being served again. Place is a bit pricey, but it’s good enough that I’ll suck it up and deal with it. Servers were super friendly and nice. I can’t wait to go back! My friend ordered the special soba noodle salad which she polished off and gave full stars.

Very good! First time eating here. Saw the reviews on Unilocal so we decided to check it out. Definitely worth it. Everyone was very nice and the food was fresh and delicious.

Decent place for breakfast/brunch. They do not take reservations so if you’re with a group of people, the wait may be long(we waited about 30 min). It’s a small place so it felt a bit crowded. Food was good. Service was good.

Better than Sabrina’s. There. I said it. Neener neener neener. If I have to endure long wait times, I’d rather do it at a place that doesn’t have overly-hipster wait staff that needlessly finds some reason to egregiously overestimate the time it’ll take to find a seat. Honey’s Sit-N-Eat gets high marks for it’s freshly squeezed orange juice(there’s just something hypnotizing about watching helpless oranges get pulverized), in-house chorizo, cornbread, and homemade Challah bread.

Just went here for the first time today! Had a party of 4 and came at 11 on a Saturday and had to wait 20 mins. I had the Mac and cheese pancakes and they were so yummy and filling! It came with two but I couldn’t even finish it all. They’re not on the menu but if you ask them, they’ll make them for you. I can’t wait to come back to try more of their yummy menu. Wait staff was nice and everything as well. And the environment was cool, pretty small with a little breakfast bar for people who want to sit at stools.

Sat at the bar and had the Honey Cristo for brunch on a Saturday. Definitely worth getting in before the crowd. Shoot for 10 or so. My sandwich was pretty good, but my friend got the country fried steak, and now THAT looked awesome. Only complaint… crowded enough that it was tough to get coffee refills and stuff as needed. But the food was redonk. Go try it.

Amazing breakfast! I can’t imagine going to breakfast at any other restaurant. This place has fresh, old school, down to earth cooking. I ordered the country fried steak with home fries and a biscuit. The steak was excellent, the home fries real, and the biscuit made from scratch. My ladyfriend ordered the breakfast quesadilla. Dang was it good. There was homemade guacamole drizzled over it. It just tasted so fresh! The service was great. The food didn’t taste like it sat under a heater and came fairly quickly. Great job!

I love this place! The original location in Northern Liberties is my favorite especially for brunch on the weekends. I don’t care if it gets crowded and you have to wait, which you will, the southern flare to the dishes is fun, the servers are funky, and with this being a no-alcohol joint and I still enjoy it, says enough for me! The brunch menu is substantial with lots of southern and Jewish inspired dishes and I’ve never had a bad meal here along with anyone I sit with which means it’s a place I’ll continue to come back to time and time again!

Food was great! Well worth the wait! Jam=Divine We sat at the large party table. We found it to be a little haunted. There’s a portrait of two girls that moved and looked back at me. They have chocolate chip cookies!

Honeys offered me and my family one if the best breakfasts we’ve ever had in Philly. After being sat quickly and offered drinks by a friendly waiter, we spent some time reviewing the menu where everything, absolutely everything, sounded delicious. Eventually I decided on the Holandaise soaked hollah(sp?) bread, poached egg, jack cheese and truffle oil. This breakfast was so savory and spectacular. Even the side greens were amazing. They tasted as if they were just lightly salted with sea salt and then had a touch of lemon. I’m not sure, but they were delightful. The coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice were also very good. Service was fast and super friendly. I have not 1 suggestion or complaint. This place is perfect and I can’t wait to return. Everyone in my family left happy and full!

Honestly, in terms of the food, not a memorable meal. I do hope to visit again and try another dish and update this review. In terms of service, it was wonderful. Our waiter was attentive and available. The atmosphere was nice and homey. Yet, my breakfast sandwich reminded me more of cheeseburger with sausage, egg, and cheese on a hamburger bun. I’d recommend getting the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin or something more breakfast-oriented. The breakfast potatoes that came with it were delicious and well seasoned. I didn’t even need any sauce to spice them up! The pancakes were quite dense, bland, and lacking in flavor of their own. If I go back, I’ll give them another try but a solid pancake in my opinion shouldn’t absolutely depend on the butter and syrup at your disposal.

Had such a good experience the first time that we decided to go back recently while in the Philadelphia area. Sadly our second visit didn’t leave us as enamored as our first. It was a Sunday and the wait time was long! Fortunately it was a nice enough day that waiting outdoors was pleasant. However with me waiting for the next available seating for two for nearly an hour my husband was driving around looking for street parking — which took nearly an hour in itself. Upon being seated and greeted with the menu it didn’t seem as enticing as our last visit and overall seemed completely different. I choose a warm sandwich which featured a slaw of sorts. It was a huge mess! The meat — corned beef? — was grisly and the slaw, an overly dressed mixture was overabundant and made for difficult eating. The majority of my meal was left behind — not worthy of a doggie bag. Then came the bill which I planned on paying with a credit card only to be told they don’t accept them. I don’t remember this being an issue the last visit but with no cash on hand was forced to use(and pay a fee for) their in house ATM machine. We came, we saw, we had one good experience, and won’t be back.

I wish I lived near Honey’s because I would be here always. Came here for breakfast one morning and everything was… Yes. Just a big, fat yes. I think that’s enough said.

The best grits I have had in my entire life! A couple moons have passed since I stopped in to Honey’s and I’m still dreaming of these grits. I was a bit skeptical when the server recommended the monterey jack cheese — he said it gives it a nice small kick. But oh wow! When your grits come out served warm with your cup totally cased in melted cheese(think french onion soup) it is beyond Delicious! My gal pal and I arrived early for the bargain breakfast. We had no wait and paid with cash in hand.(bring it). We got a great seat outdoors and the service was good but I think they were stretched that day running around trying to serve people indoors and outdoors. Well the meal was worth every penny. Pancakes were fluffy. The Lancaster county meats are incredible and the bacon was out of this world. So fresh. And you have never had a potato latke like this before. I promise. GETTHEPOTATOLATKE or you will regret it! The challah is also very good. This is a sure bet for a hearty breakfast — it will pile on the carbs and delight your palette. You’ll walk away with a full stomach and want to hire a personal trainer to burn it off but hey… you’ll never look back.

Out of all the places to get breakfast in the city, I must say, Honey’s might be my favorite. I usually come here once every couple months and have never had a bad experience. I can only review them on their breakfast but I’m sure their lunch is just as good. On weekdays between 7 – 9, you can get the bargain breakfast for $ 5. This includes eggs, toast, coffee, and either latke, grits, or home fries. You can’t beat that deal. Always good, always the way you want it, always filling. They also have a bargain breakfast with coffee, meat, and pancakes. I’ve gotten that a couple times but it’s just not as good as the eggs and latke. Weekends are pretty busy. You’ll more than likely have to wait to grab a table but it’s worth it. Besides the food, what makes it worth going is the service. The service here is one of the things I love most. All the servers share tips so there is always someone filling your water and coffee or asking if they can do anything. Some of the friendliest staff I’ve seen at a restaurant.

I’ve come to the realization that 1. Philly doesn’t have a lot of Unilocalers and 2. The food here is nothing to write home about thats why its hard to find good reviews. My family and I came here after my Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon because of all the great reviews. The food was sub par, the order was messed up and the food was warm when it came out. I thiught we were gonna be eating good because the pics on Unilocal looked delicious and the place was PACKED! The establishment is small itself. So we ate outside to avoid a long wait. The picnic table and chairs barely had enough space to house all our plates and cups. The hostess and servers where polite and did everything they could to write the wrongs but the food just wasn’t good enough to make it all better. Will not be coming back. Try it for yourself and see. BYTHEWAY, i forgot to mention it was cash only so i had to incur and ATM fee to pay. Not a good look!

This place was pretty good! We got there a little earlier than the rush so our party of 6 and 1 toddler got seated right away. The place was already bustling with hungry but happy customers and we were greeted by our waiter right away. Always a great sign =). I decided to order from their specials menu — the caprese benedict. It consisted of challah toast, with mozzarella cheese, basil, tomato and two eggs benedict with some sore basil hollandaise sauce. It was pretty good. Nothing really to complain about, but also nothing I would really rave about. But all in all it was pretty good. I had the potato latke which were potatoes, and eggs and onions and stuff that was really good. Definitely no complaints there. My husband got the Honey Cristo which he also said were ok. I had a taste and again, not bad at all. I guess it just doesn’t stand out from other similar foods that we’ve tasted. But again, it was good. Our toddler had the banana pancakes. I cannot really review this because she gobbled that up before I could even get my hands on it. So it must have been amazing! =) Bottom line: It’s a pretty good place! Worth a try!

Came here for brunch with a friend on a Friday around 11:30 or so. The place was packed but we were seated right away which was nice. I must say it is a lot smaller inside than I expected and the tables are a bit packed in but I still had a good experience nonetheless. I ordered the breakfast bomb, which consisted of eggs and a choice of meat(I selected turkey sausage) inside of a huge pancake with hash browns on the side. It really was a good value for the price I must say, but honestly it sounded a lot cooler than it actually was. Just imagine adding overly sweet syrup to your eggs. Yuck ! On my pancakes and breakfast meat sure ! Eggs that’s a no go. So I had to do some rearranging and there really wasn’t much space on the tiny table we were seated to do that. Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come back.
