Went to a show at the Fillmore and stopped in. Sunday night and it wasn’t too busy, but they were understaffed. Didn’t matter though as the staff worked extra hard. They were out of a couple of things, but there is plenty to choose from. Quite a few beer selections. Food was excellent. Not a big fan of guac, but theirs was great. I would have licked the bowl if I was allowed to. I had the carnitas tacos. One of the best things I have ever eaten. Had the churns for desert event though I should have skipped that. They were worth it. Definitely will be back.

Nachos are tasty. Service was terrible. Server neglected to mention salsa is a paid appetizer. YOUPAYFORSALSA. WOW.

So, I’m here at the restaurant at 6:20. They ran out of appetizers that wasn’t nacho’s, the spiced popcorn is burnt, they gave us one cloth napkin on one plate and a paper one on the other, and the waitress is a total jerk. She hasn’t truly addressed us yet aside from initially asking us for our order. She just slams shit on our table and walks away. If she stops for one damn minute, we can tell her we need a frickin napkin. Don’t come here until they get it together. Fair warning. Btw, the waitress isn’t wearing a name tag so I couldn’t identify if I wanted to. Waiting on the food to see if it’s even worth my money. It’s 7:01 now. Just got the food in. The enchilada is absolutely disgusting and the nacho’s are burnt. We asked for nacho’s and salsa and they gave us nacho’s on a skillet with cheese, sour cream and jalapeños. I can’t eat dairy which is why I ordered plain nacho’s. The server had the nerve to ask us if everything is ok. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEDONOTCOMEHERE. THISPLACEISJUSTGROSS.

Had an amazing lunch here — guacamole and chips, taco salad, chicken tacos, and churros were all fantastic. Highly recommended!

Terrible terrible terrible. They seemed like they were weeks away from opening. They only had about 25% of the menu available. The service was slow and not friendly. I had nachos/salsa/fish tacos. The nachos were ok but the salsa and fish tacos were terrible! The fish tacos had fish sticks instead of real fish. The salsa lacked flavor/depth, which would have been ok if it were FREE. If you charge for salsa, it better be great

The only good thing about my visit was the margaritas. I ordered the chicken nachos for our app and fish tacos. Nachos was soggy at the bottom and the toppings were just layered like wrong and dry. The fish tacos would have been okay, but the fish looked and tasted like Gordon’s fish sticks.

First let me start off with something positive… the staff is very friendly. However, yesterday I ordered the Baja Fish Tacos. On the website menu it stated the fish is «seared.» I was shocked when I got back to my office to find fried fish sticks inside a tortilla. I also asked for no dairy and there was a little cheese on top. I have no interest in paying $ 14 for only 3 fish tacos with fish sticks inside. Not cool, and very disappointing. I will give them another chance since I really like the sister restaurant next door and the service is friendly.

So, a quick walk across the street to the new Mexican place in Fishtown, and I must say that I was impressed given that it has only been open for a couple of weeks. Although it lacks a bit in ambiance(polished concrete floors, garish tables, LED votives, and somewhat noisy, with an oddly open kitchen), it makes up for it with friendly and professional service, and excellent, well priced food. Between the 4 of us, we had the chicken tacos, the burrito with carnitas(very tasty with well seasoned meat and light on the rice), the chicken enchiladas, and the carnitas tacos. Alcohol was comped(up to 2 drinks per person) as they have not yet received their liquor license, but the margaritas were excellent. Worth your time to try it out.

Drinks: blood orange margarita is extremely yummy and not too sweet Food: Guacamole is a must. It is very simplistic but it tastes so fresh. Steak fajitas are really good. Lots of side toppings. Large amounts of steak. Hongos fundido is delicious. I get this as a meal and it works just like a quesadilla. Service: Very friendly and extremely accommodating; my mother in law wanted a personalized quesadilla and the chef made it without putting up a fight.

I live in LA but am home for a family emergency. A buddy turned me on to the J. Mañana’s on Henry Ave. and I definitely dig that one. But he said let’s check out the happy hour at the new location on Delaware Ave… I had already eaten so I only had drinks, which by the way were«complimentary» yes, 2 comp drinks that were margarita’s! We tried the cucumber and frozen mango… both great cocktails but the«Mango Margarita» was worth the traffic we sat in to get there!!! LOLAWESOME cocktails very friendly servers and good service My friend had the fish tacos and Chiro’s. The fish tacos are larger and grilled on Henry Ave. Since I didn’t eat I can’t rate the food… but for drinks and ambiance, space…(even has tables out front) this place is on point. I will be back!

Delicious food paired with impeccable service… what more could a woman ask for??? At times like this, I race home to write a review! I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant(i.e. food, service, and most importantly, the courteous caring staff). I’m not one to go for frozen drinks, but the bartender Chelsea’s recommendation of the frozen Mango Guava Margarita, was spot-on. Followed by delicious jumbo lump Crab Quesadillas and Jumbo Lump crab cakes. Did I mention, Chef Adham visited the table to ensure it was cooked to perfection? Oh yeah, this Johnny Mananas crew was on point lead by Susan, the manager, whom also completed several table checks and was very personable! Needless to say, of course I’ll be returning, as I crave positive upbeat environments with delicious food and awesome drinks !
