Easily my favorite bike shop. The guys are very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get back on a bike or fine tune their current set up.

Like these dudes. Had a bike to donate. They said wait, you could get some cash for this. I said no worries it’s yours. That kind of honesty is rare. Big blessings to you Kayuh.

Great latte coffee and toasted bagels. Plus open SUPER early if you need your bicycle repaired before work.

Kayuh Bicycles is by far my #1 spot to get my bike fixed in the Fairmount area. The prices are by far the cheapest in the area, and the service is unbeatable. I have been going for three years and never disappointed.

Just needed a replacement inner tube, and friendly staff volunteered assistance and made sure I got one that would fit(tube size and valve length). Good price. Cool that they also have a coffee bar. I will stop by again.

I’ve been using this place for bike repairs for about a year, and have consistently been impressed by their personable service and reasonable prices. So confident have I become in biking that I went ahead and sold my car, and Kayuh has been a big help in that. Case in point — last time I went in, I had gotten my dérailleur caught in my spokes(for whatever reason) and thought it was going to be at least a $ 50 fix. Iz(the owner) took a look and estimated about what I expected, but when I got it back(in a few business hours, which was ahead of what he had estimated) he did a bunch of other fixes but only charged me for the new dérailleur– $ 25. That’s just one example of Kayuh’s above-and-beyond service, a welcome relief for someone like me who is constantly concerned about getting ripped off by shady businesses. Plus, Iz is a Temple grad(go Owls), so that about seals it for anyone living in North Philly.

I can’t speak for the cycle services, but I wandered in here yesterday after 6pm and was met with warm and friendly service. The person behind the counter patiently explained the mysterious drinks on the menu and I ended up going with a Teh Tarik– a blend of pulled black tea and sweetened, condensed milk. Delicious and perfect for a chilly evening! Go in and try it.

Cool place, but they don’t carry any decaf coffee or espresso products. :(if you had decaf I would come back!

Excellent coffee shop and service. Iz is the man! Always Super nice and friendly. I haven’t bought a bike a yet but I will one day. They’re always well priced. Everytime I’m in there, customers are always smiling which is obviously a good thing :)

A bike shop full of kind people and delicious coffee treats? My bike was serviced quickly, cheaply, and with a smile. Give me a reason to go anywhere else.

Kayuh is excellent! The bike techs there are quick, knowledgable and friendly. I watched them work as they tuned up my bike and not only did they fix the shifters, they also showed me how to better maintain it. Everything is reasonably priced as well-can’t wait until the coffee shop side of the business opens too!

Called in to Kayuh after a failed attempt at installing clipless pedals on an old road bike I’ve been riding. Nolan remembered me from the phone call and helped me as soon as I walked in. He installed the pedals, put the cleats on my new shoes, and greased my chain/looked my bike over as he went through the gears. Really helpful guy. The others working were great as well, as they were pretty dang busy. 3 or 4 people came in while I was there with different problems and were all helped simultaneously. They only charged me $ 5 for the pedals/cleats to be installed and to look the bike over. I’ll probably take my bike to Kayuh for my next tuneup and would definitely recommend them to others.

Went in there to get a back tire, brake handles, came back to get the bike and front tire was some what bent! Told employees that something was wrong and they insisted that the bike came in like that, which was a lie only back tire. And tech exams my bike, I was basically called a liar and dishonest because I questioned them and there work, and his reason was people come in all the time trying to get over. My response is you treat each customer different, that’s good customer service. All in all their customer service sucks and they do not appreciate good business, and I still brought a bottle holder because I appreciate small business just not nutty insinuating that someone is trying to get over, which was not the case in any form! I hope you guys continue to do your thing but you won’t be getting anymore if my business… WONTUSTHEMAGAIN!!!

My girlfriend and I were in search of a road bike that she could ride throughout the city so that we could ride together on our anniversary. Our search criteria was a used, cruiser type road bike between $ 100 – 200. We went to two different bike shops before we found our way to Kayuh Bike shop. I never heard of this particular bike shop in the area and I was pleasantly surprised. After explaining exactly what we were looking for, Izzat quickly located a used bike that he just put together that morning that fit our description. You could say that was blind luck that we found that bike, but it was the service that we got after we found the bike that prompt me to write this review. Izzat made sure the bike was a good fit, explained the bikes gear shifting mechanism to my girlfriend, and kindly installed, sanded, and buffed a kick stand for her upon her requests. He even chiseled down the price a bit for us when the situation called for it. Because of this service I and my girlfriend will definitely be back for our future bike needs. Thank you guys at Kayuh Bikes!

Great customer service! These guys are great! I took a bike here because the brakes were rubbing. All of guys were very helpful. While we waited the guys talked to my nephew. Giving him tips on what not to do with his bike(leave it in attended, let people ride it, use a helmet… On and on!) it was nice that 2 of the guys took the time to talk 2 him as they were very busy. After the tune up he gave us instructions as to how to care for the bike. I will be taking my own next week!

I’ve been reading Unilocal for years, but it took a truly amazing experience for me to contribute my first review. Let me say that the guys at Kayuh Bikes definitely earned it. After taking my bike to multiple shops and even trying to contacting the dealer directly, I turned to Izzat and the Kayuh Bikes staff to help me get replacement fenders for my daily commuter. Izzat used his connections as a local bike shop owner to order my fenders from the manufacturer. This was a tremendous favor, as he doesn’t even normally carry the brand in his shop. If that wasn’t enough, when the fenders eventually arrived, they didn’t fit my bike – turns out, I had a wonky model which was totally not Kayuh’s fault nor could it have been known at the beginning. At this point, I’ve paid the shop zero dollars, and they’ve put in quite a bit of time and effort on my behalf. Furthermore, they’ve communicated with me via email and phone keeping me posted on the status of the situation. Instead of throwing their hands up and saying«enough!» the guys at Kayuh sent back the original fenders received(I assume at their own cost), and installed the new ones when they’d arrived. Ultimately, this was a very time-consuming sale for them, and they didn’t mark-up the fenders from the dealer, so all they made was the money for the installation. While being frustrated with how the deal came out for him and his shop would’ve been a perfectly normal reaction, Izzat(and his crew), actually were the opposite – forthright, kind, and supremely patient throughout. I even saw Izzat outside the shop, and he remembered me, despite his dozens of customers. Kayuh Bikes isn’t just the most exemplary bike shop experience I’ve had in Philly; it is the best customer service experience I’ve had, full stop. They make you want to stop by to check-in, see what is new, and absolutely bring them business. Thanks so much for their amazing work and commitment to putting the customer first.

My back tire was stolen off my bike which isnt the best feeling or situation. But these guys were not only open on Labor Day, they replaced my tire for a fair price and within a couple of hours. They seem to be no-nonsense yet nice and I appreciate it all.

As a serious biker on a tight budget these guys definitely helped me out with great deals and good advice. I highly recommend this place!

This has been long overdue. Kayuh crew has been instrumental in facilitating two of my fixed gear projects. Even when they have a que of bicycles lined up for repairs, I’m always grateful that they have taken time away from whatever they were doing to help me when I walk in with my own bike. I’ve gone in for several tire repairs, drivetrain and cockpit upgrades, as well as some overall great advice. The shop is a must-visit, especially for new riders. If you are looking to tune up an old bike or find a dope old-school frame this is the place. At the same time, Kayuh also carries several custom builds and a bunch of bitch’n track frames. But I think the best vibe I get from this shop is the sincerity and candor I receive from the staff. Super patient, easy going. There have been many occasions where Izzat, Mike, Conrad and Paul have put in extra time to make sure a repair job is done the right way. Usually Kayuh is super speedy with the fix ups, but bike work is not always a quick pit stop, and can sometimes require several hours… so just be patient. Finally, this is a relatively new shop, but I am confident they will have a lot of success in the near future. Particularly, I hope they will expand and diversify their in-shop inventory. Fully intend to stick with this shop, excited for where this shop will go. TLDR Great local bike shop, nice staff, good future
