Who doesn’t love La Colombe? One of the most beautifully designed interiors coupled with great coffee, there really isn’t much else to ask for. Definitely expect pricier drinks, and a packed store space. But that doesn’t ever detract from the quality of the coffee(or the experience!)

This is my favorite La Colombe location. Stop by and pick up beans to take home when you get your coffee. I love getting pour overs. It takes a few minutes but it’s worth it. The staff is very friendly at this busy location. If you are hungry there is a pastry case. It is a nice spot to sit and people watch as well.

Love the cappucino here, staff are nice and located right in the city. Great place to hang and talk with friends/co workers.

Perfect macchiato shot. The regular coffee was alright, not too flavorful and it got bitter after some time. Location wise, perfect. Space and ambience average, but great if you got seats by the window.

Came here for coffee and a friend date. I mainly gave them 4 stars because c’mon, it’s la columbe — their coffee’s great! However, i do prefer the fishtown location because it’s more spacious. Every LC i’ve been to has been packed so the noise level is always going to be LOUD! Regardless, if you are just stopping in to grab coffee and go, and don’t mind a decent wait — this is a great spot!

Very busy in and out coffee shop. Much different than the Fishtown location. But the coffee is still right on.

I’ve tried La Colombe a few times but not this location. I was surprised to see a long line when I walked in on a Friday morning a little bit after 9:00. Though the line moved very quickly! Right before ordering a gazed at the baked goods and had to tell myself no, but my gosh they looked good! The barista taking my order was very sweet and friendly. I lived in Sydney for a couple months last year so I know a proper flat white when I taste one. La Colombe got it right! This flat white was soo perfect it tastes like Sydney! Only $ 3.50 too! Will definitely be back to this location!

Coffee hand-crafted with great thought and care. You will love the pour-over brewing experience and coffee served in beautiful hand-painted Italian ceramics. A nice local hangout in the middle of the day.

Found a place with great coffee, a great view, and great staff!!! On the plus they had almond milk. It always frustrates me when I go to get a coffee and they don’t have milk alternatives.

I couldn’t find a menu but my lost face was recognized by the staff who then directed me to their latte on tap. Oh my gosh. Unreal. Get the Black and Tan and feel your happiness level rise while you sit in a hip, clean and cozy space overlooking some fantastic people watching.

Great coffee and fantastic space and friendly staff. I always have a great experience here but there is no WiFi so that’s a major letdown. Considering the amount of foot traffic and the location, WiFi is a must. Since you’re so close to office buildings and public transportation, it’s appalling they do not provide this service. Perhaps it’s a way to deter customers from staying too long. That aside, the coffee presentation is excellent and the coffee is strong — very signature of them.

I came here on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. While it was much busier then I expected the cashier did get everyone through quickly. I ordered a mocha and when a skim latte was called t was clearly mine, just different then I ordered. I asked if it was the mocha and the barista rolled her eyes and asked the cashier if it was what I ordered. The barista added some chocolate and the handed it to me. I thought it was rather rude and unprofessional. There coffee is good but maybe a bit pretentious barista?

As a medical student, I drink A LOT of coffee. Since it is a main staple of my diet, I always try to get the good stuff. La Colombe is the good stuff. The coffee quality has already been proven and established. This location however, I just recently tried. I was not overly impressed by the lack of seating here. Additionally, they did not have many food choices. I forgot that La Colombe sells one size of to go coffee, $ 2 each for what I would consider a medium. This is reasonable, but next time I am getting two for myself :)

Top notch Nariño Colombian hand-poured coffee in Philadelphia? YES… and it is perfectly prepared by the staff at La Colombe at this beautiful location. The selection of Central American special market varieties is impressive. All the baristas make noteworthy cortados and other short drinks I favor for a tasty afternoon treat. The service is splendid and well-informed. Friendly reminder, coffee friends: great coffee takes time and if you are in a rush, you might want to come back when you have a bit more time. I don’t always stay, but I try to savor my coffee here whenever my schedule permits. This coffee purveyor is quickly becoming my favorite near home! Exceptional 4 ½ stars!

Delicious latte with a great view of city hall! We ordered 2 latte and sat by the window, relaxing, enjoying the view and catching up. Latte was delicious and what’s fun is they have water station where there are 3 taps for cold water, room temp water and sparkling water! How cool is that??? Also, $ 3.50 a latte wow I’m loving this city!!! Coming back tomorrow for another latte :)

I don’t know why, but it’s been hard to find a proper Cappuccino around here and this place got it right. One time they even but a nice heart design on top. He bakery items were pretty good too, I had a cheese filled croissant and it was flaky and moist, not crunchy. Atmosphere has an Italian laid back feel in there, not sure where I get that from but I don’t feel rushed even though there was a line both times I visited. They sell whole beans and ground coffee here, other local spots AND their own.

Having never been, there were several items on the menu I was curious about. The barista was hurried, annoyed, and short with me. I asked if they had soy milk and she responded, «almond». I wasn’t sure if she misheard me or misunderstood so I said, «oh, okay. But do you have soy?» She again responded, «almond». I guess nut allergies need not apply? It was an odd interaction and overall they just seemed annoyed. Anyway, the iced coffee was decent. I wasn’t a huge fan(I normally prefer simple syrup in mine but I don’t think they had that), but it was caffeine and that was needed at the time.

Visiting for the weekend. Got a pourover and a coffee. The pourover took a while and they didn’t start preparing it until well after I got my coffee — so don’t get that when in a rush. Good coffee. Negatives: It was a hot day outside and it was hot inside — definitely did not feel like there was A/C. There were bugs flying around the pastries. Looks like someone else commented on it too. The door behind the coffee bar was open — doesn’t look the cleanest back there.

La Colombe is excellent in that it is actually a chain, and sold at a lot of restaurants, but still when you go in, it feel likes a specialty coffee shop! You won’t find your frappacinos with extra whipped cream and extra sugar in here, but you will find an assortment of delicious, high quality pour overs, coffee, and espresso. And the usual latte, etc. The pour overs are $ 5 – 7 and I asked myself«is it worth the buzz I could get from a Yueling for that price?» and the answer is Yes! Plus scored some brownie points with my liver. The coffee is just exceptional here. Get a cup to sit in, and people watch, and admire the view of city hall and the still semi-new Dilworth Plaza. NEGATIVESTAR because UGH what no wifi!!! I happily brought my ipad planning to go through some work emails with my cup o joe. but… to my demisee. wahhh (maybe slightly dramatic, they prob do this so people dont loiter for hours in this prime location but ya)

This location of La Colombe provides the perfect atmosphere to sip on some coffee and eat a delicious pastry! I had a cappuccino and it was perfect. Being an avid coffee drinker, I think that theirs would top every other cappuccino I’ve ever had before that. It definitely tops my list of favorites. Whether you come here to enjoy some light reading or catchup with some friends, there are plenty of small tables and chairs to sit at. I love this location for its nice view of Dilworth Park and Penn Square. With its big glass windows, I love how the place receives natural lighting. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would find myself doing work or studying at this coffeeshop again. The first time I tried, it was so hard due to the lack of outlets, work conducive tables, and Wifi. However, I would still come here to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and the pretty view!
