Being an Angeleno, there aren’t too many things to lament about when it comes to the City of Angels, other than traffic… However, one thing I always find room to criticize is LAX airport. More specifically, the fact that there’s never anything good to eat there. LAX is easily the worst major airport when it comes to finding anything to eat that’s halfway decent, other than being forced to «settle» for fast food. Across the country(and especially internationally), other airports don’t seem to face this problem. Case in point, a restaurant called Le Petit Bistro, located in Philadelphia International Airport, near the end of the A terminal. Being accustomed to airport food forces any hungry traveler to «manage their expectations» when it comes to dining. Fortunately, Le Petit Bistro doesn’t make you compromise on taste. My meal consisted of their«Bistro Chicken,» which should be considered an equivalent of chicken provençale. It was quite delicious, a succulent roasted bird with excellent flavoring that paired slightly sweet with a hint of tanginess. It also came with your choice of TWO of the following sides: — rice pilaf(my first pick) — roasted red potatoes — steamed vegetables(my second pick) — side salad All of this for just under $ 8.00!!! The other positive for those with larger stomachs is that the portions are pretty generous, and should fill you up nicely. I always say that the true mark of quality airport food, is whether you would actually pay for it outside of an airport setting. For this, Le Petit Bistro passes the mark. Highly recommended!!!

Great option for breakfast, as I’ve done numerous times. They have breakfast sandwiches or you can get a breakfast platter with eggs, gritts, potatoes and sausage. Weird thing is, this great platter is only a dollar more than the skimpy breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I had a sandwich on an English muffin. It was good, but the bread was soggy. And if you’re in a hurry, be ware, it can take a few minutes to move thru the line and have your sandwich heated up a bit.

Liked the turkey cranberry and sandwich. Liked the ceasar salad, but the croutons were soggy. Workers not that friendly and too much in a hurry. Portions are large and enough to feed 2. Paid $ 11 for a sandwich, salad, and small drink.

They had a lot of great choices here and the food looked good. They have sandwiches, bagels, crossaints, salads, fruit, as well as entrée dishes. I was offered a tasting of the honey mustard chicken and the bbq chicken. Unfortunately their entrees are only one size so I ended up throwing half of my order out because I couldnt eat it all. The entrée is rice with a choice of chicken with a side salad or a side of potatoes. I opted for the potatoes which really had no flavor. The honey mustard chicken was only ok. After I received my food, I stood in line for about 5 minutes to pay, and there was only one person ahead of me in line. The man in front of me placed an order with the cashier, who ended up talking on her personal cell phone and walking away from the cashier! I thought that was a bit rude. He and I both stood there wondering if she placed his order(because we didnt see it happen). It took a while for another worker to step in. After the man had finished paying, he looked at me and wished me good luck(in paying for my food!!!). The cost of the entrée and water was over $ 10 which I didnt think was worth it, but its airport food so its expected. This food establishment had a little area for patrons to sit and eat which was nice. This joint is located near the D13, 14, 15 gates in Terminal D.
