Loco Pizza

used to be day night pizza. I wish they’d lower their minimum to 10 dollars but it’s ok. THEY’VE GOT POUTINE

Got a flyer in my mailbox so I figured I’d give Loco a go. Being antisocial, I opted to order online. Wow… free delivery. Minimum order was only $ 15 or so. I can do that. That’s only like a pizza and a side. Onward.
They were lightning fast. Bonus point +1. I ordered my pizza with extra cheese to be safe, and they didn’t disappoint. Lots of places, especially in south philly, will cheat you on «extra cheese,» charging you for it but never actually putting it on your pizza. This cheese lover was satisfied. Toppings were plentiful as well. I was happy.
The crust was… different. It was kind of like a huge pita in its chewiness, but it wasn’t bad. It didn’t matter, because you’re supposed to toss crusts out. It’s what you do. Why fill your stomach with bread when theres so much cheese and toppings to be had?
The sauce was just ok. A little sweet for my taste without being very identifiable. No worries though.
Did I mention cheese before? They also make the best cheese fries I’ve ever had from a takeout pizza place. They don’t use the nasty wiz that makes your fries soggy by the time it arrives, they use kind of a cheddar/​mozzarella blend that gets all stringy, especially when melted on salted, lightly charred fries. Home run.
I haven’t branched out much beyond those, their menu is kind of limited. But the results have been consistent after 3 – 4 times. Fast, reasonably priced, consistent. Can’t ask for much more than that.
Ok, maybe a less weird crust, but whatever.

This is got to be the worst pizza I have had hands down anywhere. Soggy, runny pizza that makes a microwave pizza look appealing. I literally thew it out it was so badly made.
This was my first and last order from this place, and sometimes with one order you can chalk it up to a bad day, but this was so bad, there is no point in another order and waste of money.
I should have know by their poor menu selection and ridiculously high minimum delivery charge that something was wrong but I wanted to try a new place, I am sorry I did.
Worst Pizza in town!

Ordered two Philly cheesesteaks, a box of cheese fries, and a Caesar salad off Grub Hub. It came within twenty minutes, and while there was a delivery fee, it wasn’t expensive ($ 1.50)
Our order came down to around $ 22, but my friend and I couldn’t split the bill that evenly so we ended up tipping the delivery guy $ 8. (Whatever, the weather’s bad out there, anyway.)
I think the cheesesteaks lacked… well, cheese, but it was pretty decent.
