Picked up a beautiful Audemars from Gary yesterday. Worth noting is that I live about 15 minutes from Manhattan and Philadelphia is over a 2 hour drive. When purchasing a luxury time piece, so much more goes into it than just the purchase. Trust is a huge issue as there are many, many gray market outlets offering prices and deals that are too good to be true. After chatting with him on the phone a couple of times I knew where I was going to go and who I was going to buy from. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly. No pressure, no stress. Gary wouldn’t even take my money until he made sure the watch fit me properly and that I was happy. Interestingly, I asked him which dial he would recommend and his answer was more than honest. He said that if he recommended one over the other it would look like he was trying to push me into the one he most wanted to sell. He allowed me to make my own decision and for that, I was grateful. He took the time to explain the functions and warranty, as well. He clearly knows his business and the watch market in general. Dealing with him was a real pleasure and the deal he gave me was more than fair. I have already referred a friend to him and will continue to do so. He went out of his way to earn my business yesterday and in doing so, he gained a client for life. Kudos.
