Romeo Pizza

Been a favorite of mine for years. They definitely have the best wings (bbq) being my favorite and a decent pizza.

Not a huge fan of the pizza. But they have pretty good stromboli. But what they do well is wings. Around south philly, its tough to find good wings, but this place is a hidden gem for them. Cheesesteaks are average. Not terrible but not up there with the likes of Johns roast pork, or Joe’s steak and soda shop which are my 1 and 1a for best steaks in the city.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat so we stop by this place to try it out. After looking at the reviews on Unilocal no one really had anything about the food so we figured why not try it out. We ordered 2 slices and a side of FF weird combo but we were starving. Anyway it wasn’t bad the only thing is it seems more as a take out place as there was only room for about 5 people and they had no napkins or salt/​pepper or ketcup out. Would stop by again if we are in hurry.

Service should be in the negatives — Arrived 1hr 45 mins after calling them. I called them after waiting 45 minutes and the person told me that the driver left already. Waited an extra hour and our pizza was near cold. I had to re-​heat mines. Did not even get an apology. I understand it’s in South Philly and I did not expect to be treated like a «queen,» but jeez louis. A simple «I apologize» would have been nice.
Taste — Let’s just say aside from being upset with the service, we did not want to have a second slice. There were 3 of us and we barely finished the first. We had gotten the vegetarian pizza and the veggies were disgusting. The broccoli pieces (they looked chopped up very well, or the leftovers after chopping a broccoli up) were discolored, onions were old, and ugh. It was just horrendous. My stomach was hurting so bad afterwards and I couldn’t be more upset (especially since they’re so expensive now).
I have ordered there about 8 years ago and they were great. I think they fell off or got lazy. I don’t know, but I will not be ordering from there ever again. I’d rather starve if they were the only restaurant opened that day. SORRY.

Really good pizza. I’ve only ordered from them once but I think if my next order is just as good, I’ll give them 5 stars for consistency. They aren’t located too far from me but it still took about 45 minutes after I ordered. Not a complaint as I don’t know how long it takes to make a pizza. It was hot on arrival.

About 10 years ago I had the Best cheese steak of my life in this area, but alas I can’t remember where the spot was. I thought this might be it. I was wrong. In all fairness this may very well have been the best cheese steak place in the world 10 years ago but times are a changin’. Their cheese steak wasn’t bad at all (it was average), but not what i was looking for.

Their pizza is the perfect blend of crispy and doughy, saucy and cheesy, and it is cheap. Two large, plain pizzas are only $ 10.99(great deal). Their stromboli is also delici-​O. Unlike other stromboli theirs is not grease at all; the stromboli crust stays nice and crisp.
