I visit philly often and I always head to Rowhouse Spirits. Their products are all top shelf. The new Aquavit is great for refreshing summer cocktails, and their gin is by far the best I’ve tasted. Dean really knows what he’s doing, and the quality of his products shows that he loves what he’s doing.

The tasting room in this spot is small, but cozy, with a miniature fireplace in the corner. Tastings are $ 5 for three ½ ounce pours. Cocktails are $ 8. They also sell their wares on site for the reasonable $ 30−35/bottle.
I tried the gin, aquavit, and bear trap (a sweet-​ish, herbal concoction). All had great flavor where the herbal notes really came through both on the nose and on the tongue. Any could serve as a sipping liquor, but cocktail recipes were suggested to us as well. Another great additional to the Philadelphia distilling scene!
They also sell in a few state stores around the city, so keep an eye out for them.

I had lunch in the area with my friend and we found this place when we were wondering on the street. The owner is a very nice gentleman with a lot of knowledge about spirits to be shared with. For 5 bucks you get 3 generous pours. My personal favorite is the Gin. I’ll definitely recommend to try all of them! The environment is very nice too, interesting yet very neat as a production facility. Visited it after lunch and the small amount of liquor made the whole day happy for me.

Love this spot. Dean and The Rowhouse Spirits are such a welcome addition to our neighborhood. Stop by for a taste and then buy a bottle. I love the Gin and the Beartrap too. Cheers, Darth
