Who wants bad fish @ 9am? Totally disappointed by the quality of the food. The whitting was old, tough, and inedible. When I tore the fish apart the inside was brown. After driving 2 miles and paying $ 16 for two platters; the only part of my meal I could eat was the eggs and pancakes. It’s an embarrassment, the staff is extremely polite and welcoming. If my fish is bad, I can’t trust any other meats they serve. I won’t return, I take food quality seriously. And they shouldn’t risk my health for a profit. Sunday, June 12, 2016

Definitely a hole in the wall spot, but the food is fantastic. Everything is good. I love the steak and eggs with a side of pancakes. Can’t beat the prices! It gets very crowded so I usually order ahead for takeout.

If you like carbs and butter, this place is heaven. I got the fried chicken wings and waffles with a side of grits. The chicken wings were brined and very well seasoned with the crispiest skin. The woman sitting next to me recommended that I get the apple reduction on the waffles and although I would have preferred not to see them melt the bucket of butter and brown sugar in the pan, I ultimately didn’t care — it was absolutely delicious. Post meal naps are mandatory. Plan accordingly.

Good food, reasonable price, kind people. Was perfect for lazy morning drop-by with pajama pants on as our bnb was close by… Absolutely recommended. Pancakes and home fries are the best, but omelet was also good! :)

Outstanding short-order, home cooked breakfast at a great price! This place is definitely worth the visit. The service was friendly and helpful, and our meal was served hot within 10 minutes of placing our order. The restaurant does have a small footprint with limited barstool/countertop seating, but does offer take-out orders. Despite being located in a more urban area, the quality, service and value are all first-class. One of Philadelphia’s best hidden gems /best hole-in-the-wall local eateries.

YAS Go here. It’s such a gem. Great sausages! I can’t wait to go back for breakfast. The staff is very friendly. It’s a great breakfast spot for West Philadelphians and not that far for the Drexel crowd. I recommend it to everyone!

So good!!! I’m back for more already! It’s a corner store brunch place. So expect lots of butter. But everything is made to perfection, and at a good price. Food comes out quick! Omg and the French toast!!! I don’t trust anyone’s French toast… #BOSS I was gonna post a pic but I was too hungry.

Its very small place and from the name of the place you would not think its a breakfast spot. The workers are very orgainized and get customers in and out. Great spot to eat breakfast at. Check them out.

They operate like a well-oiled machine. It’s amazing how everyone in the place is your waitress/cook/cashier. I don’t know how they do it but they create magic.

Best home fries and grits in Philly. I’ll go nowhere else. Real good comfort food. Friendly staff. Always packed with locals and getting even busier because of college kids. Good for them, their food is the type of delicious that makes you happy when you’re sad. Thank you Texas

This place is an amazing secret. You’d think the burgundy sign with bright gold, large lettering saying«TEXASWIENER» would draw people in. If you are looking for a quintessential American diner experience, look no further. The prices are fantastic, and the food is delicious(though definitely not the healthiest for you). The only reason I did not give this place 5 out of 5 is because you are packed like a friggin’ sardine in there – which is fine, I can get cozy. .. its just a little irritating when you’re trying to eat your breakfast with someone hovering right behind you. I love Texas Wiener. I’m glad the college kids stay south of Spring Garden, for the most part. I might not ever get a seat in here, otherwise.
