This place is incredible! if yall haven’t been i recommend it. They have coffee that tastes like chocolate and scones that are moist yet crumbly. way to go urban! two thumbs up!

It’s way too hipster for me but they do have some cool t-shirts that I stumble across now and then. Their oddball assortment of non-clothing items kinda reminds me of Spencer’s if you are old enough to remember that outfit.

i went in on a saturday around 1pm bc they were having 30% off sale item for president’s day weekend. the store did not have that much traffic when i went in. this UO isnt as big as I thought it would be. the sale section is also only 2 racks for women and 2 racks for men, so i was somewhat disappointed. the only dressing rooms are downstairs.

This is the ORIGINAL Urban Outfitters — FYI! Urban Outfitters originated as «The Free People’s Store» in 1970 in West Philadelphia, on UPenn’s campus, focusing on «funky» fashion and household products. Today, they still live up to this mantra. I recently visited here — and I got lost in the goodies. They have so many funky, oddball items like household goods, books, shotglasses, and all sorts of random prank jokes or accessories that you’d never need but you’d love to have/give. Even if you aren’t in the mood for clothes shopping — Urban Outfitters has so much more! I like the clothes here, but I find they’re a little too trendy/funky/pricey for my taste/style/pocketbook. I think they do great business here on Penn’s campus, and of course, nationwide as well! They know their audience and they do cater to it well. I will shop here for clothes browsing(and then I’ll purchase elsewhere) but I’ll definitely shop here for funky gifts, pranks, accessories, etc. It’s a very unique place… and I greatly appreciate their trendiness and style.

OK, so I’ve read the other reviews and I have to ask you peeps: what kind of a lunatic criticizes an urban hipster store for having urban hipsters work in it? If you want dorks to wait on you, then shop at a dork store, dork. Presumably if you shop at a hipster store, you want hipsters to wait on you so that when you ask them to help you or evaluate something you’re thinking of buying, you respect what they have to say. I’m not going to be asking the clerk who has his pants hiked up to his navel, his polo shirt with the little horsie on it, and his baseball cap on sideways what he thinks about something I’m trying on. So, yeah, the people who wait on you are going to have a sense of style. And they’re always nice, never snobby. They just look good, and they wear the kinds of stuff the store sells. Sheesh. It’s not killer pricey, but the higher priced stuff is higher quality and the cheap fashionable stuff is cheap quality, just like real life. You can’t get career wear in Urban Outfitters(unless your career is to work at Urban Outfitters) but you can get cutting edge hipster fashion, from shirts and blouses to pants and skirts, t-shirts, hats, shoes, jackets, whatever, along with great accessories(socks, jewelry, scarves) and all sorts of unusual(from cool to ironic) decently priced gift items. Probably not for your mom or grandmother, unless they’re hipsters. In which case, they’ll love it too.

I often find Urban Outfitters to be very hit or miss. My most recent trip — while just trying to kill some time — was very hit… spent almost $ 200 :\ The staff was friendly and helpful, the store was clean, and there was zero wait time to check out.

Overpriced clothing store with interesting and cool knick-knacks for parents who don’t know what else to get their kids. Bean-bag chairs, folding chairs, lava lamps, assorted jewelry… you name it. Clothing is overpriced, but seems popular on campus. Some gear for hiking are displayed on the walls, but I have no idea who actually buys those. Good for picking up random crap/gifts for a college dorm room.

It’s an Urban Outfitters on a college campus! Two stories, and a selection of «modern» fashions and toys. That’s. well, about it. An average location, with high prices for the little cute things that they sell that make good gifts for young people.

Ok — I am being nice and giving 3 stars, but I really want to give them 2. Don’t get me started on UO. We have a long post collegiate, complex relationship. When they first opened and had only a few stores and seemed so cool. It was the height of the grunge era back then. And hot chicks and«hip» dudes worked there. Now it’s more than a bit played out and man, they jacked up the prices. I mostly get accessories and socks here now — the pants fall apart.(And for 60 bux??) Oh I miss the good old days. It seemed better back then.”

Despite my love-hate relationship with Urban, this one is not that bad. Sure you’ve got your«super-cool hipsters» working the floor but the upside to this one that makes it much better than the one in center city is this… THESALERACK. This UO has a great sale rack. As a student who definitely cannot afford anything on the floor at Urban I was ecstatic to find that this one has a good collection at sale stuff that makes it affordable.

I really dislike urban outfitters. I have the same problem with it that I have with American apparel. Everyone working just seems to be as overtly hip as possible. It just bothers me. And also their stuff is way over priced for the level of quality. This one time I got this floral bra on a super sale for $ 7 and the damn underwire popped out after one washing. That being said their home décor is so cute that I am forced to go into their store. And for some reason or another their dishware is really affordable AND adorable. I really should give them three stars but I’m feeling spiteful.

Wow. No one reviewed this place yet? Amazing… It’s one of the smallest Urbn stores that I’ve ever been to. The staff is usually pretty helpful and they have some decent things on sale in the back. I picked up some pretty cute shoes on sale here a few times. But I think this location is known more for their housewares section upstairs. This is on Penn Campus, so it’s a quick one-stop-shop for cool dorm room décor.
