Erik Langhofer – State Farm Insurance Agent

I had a horrible experience with this agency and cancelled my auto & home policies due to their lack of support.
I was rear ended while stopped at a stop light and they refused to take my claim. They stated that I should call the other drivers insurance agency, which I did, but when I found out the driver’s insurance had lapsed, Erik refused again. I was told that I would have to pay my $ 500 deductible in order for the agency to help me. When I said that I did not want to have my car fixed until we found the driver responsible I just wanted their help in tracking him down, they stated that they «had to be paid to help me.» I was under the impression paying for my insurance each month was their payment. When I questioned this policy I was told «this is how all insurance is.»
I have since found an agent, not at State Farm, who is personable and helpful. Do not use this agency if you ever plan on having to use your insurance as they will not help you.

Eric Langhofer has been my State Farm insurance agent for over 25 years. He has always looked out for my best interests when advising what kind and how much home/​car coverage I’ve needed, and in addition would explain to me the reason why either more or less coverage was needed. Several years ago, my car caught on fire and as a result was totaled. State Farm and Eric Langhofer were prompt, fair and honorable in analyzing and paying my claim. Eric’s staff is terrific, too, they’re friendly and knowledgeable whenever I call for information. So for these reasons, I consider State Farm and Eric Langhofer the best insurance company and agent ever!
