Mac I Am Apple iPhone Repair LLC

We test software and mobile apps across several platforms in our downtown office, two blocks south. When the inevitable cracked screens happen, this is our go-​to place. I’ve also used them for soldering on a Mac Mini and battery replacements on a couple of other devices. They are prompt, courteous, honest and do good quality work; I’ve never had a problem with any repair, but have no doubt they would make things right, if and when. They just turned around a screen replacement this morning on my iPhone — took about 45 minutes and it’s good as new. They’ve got a pretty good selection of cables, accessories and cases on hand. They (currently) offer $ 10 off of any repair (walk-​in), plus 10% off to students and government agencies and workers. There are (slightly) cheaper places in the strip-​malls closer to home, but if you’re downtown and need a repair, they’re convenient (exterior storefront on the east side of the San Carlos) and reliable.

Quick and easy! I dropped off my iPhone 5s on my way out to lunch and picked it up on the way back to the office all fixed and ready to go! Great customer service!

Hello all! First off, this place was recommended to me. So I brought in my phone to get repairs done on the screen as well as some «software issues» I’ve been experiencing. The staff were very helpful and professional. They were upfront and truthful about the costs and services I’d be paying for. I accepted their service and they were finished faster than I’d expected! My phone looked like-​new and they cleaned up my software which turned out to be something minor! Impressive! I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get the repairs done for their Apple stuff! Very competent technicians! I would not go anywhere else! Thanks guys! A friend of mine recommended this place to get my phone repaired. I was well satisfied with service. They were well knowledgable and answered any questions I have had regarding my phone. They were friendly and helpful! They even have a selection of phone accessories which was pretty cool and much cheaper than the ones sold in the malls! They sell tempered glass screen protectors so you might want to look into that if ever you’re around the area. The prices are fairly reasonable which is great. The place isn’t too difficult to find.
I find it convenient that they’re not specific to fixing just one product or item but others as well like apple products and androids; whether its a phone, laptop, or ipods they’re skilled and capable of fixing almost anything. I’m glad I checked out this place. Will definitely come back if I need any future repairs on my electronic devices.

I went in during my lunch hour and left my phone to get the screen fixed, as soon as I returned it was ready for pick up. They did an amazing job and were very professional & helpful.

So I was in the area while at ASU downtown and decided to get a cracked phone screen fixed. I had some time before my next class so I found these guys close to campus. They were able to fix my phone screen within 30min before I needed to get to my next class. (And I just walked). The staff was super helpful and answered other questions I had. I had brought my Macbook pro with me and just asked questions regarding the system updates etc while they worked on my phone. They were very knowledgeable about what they were doing and I would definitely return if I had other electronic problems.

Super helpful staff and convenient if you work downtown. I just went in and they fixed my charger connection issue right away, even slightly after hours. Nice to have downtown vs going all the way to the Apple store.

This place is awesome! Not only do they excel at simple repairs like replacing your cracked iPhone screen, they can also do advanced stuff like soldering! My 2009 MacBook was out of commission due to a motherboard connector I had accidentally knocked off during a repair, and they were able to solder a new one on within 30 minutes!
Basically, they saved my life and brought my computer back from the dead. It doesn’t get much better than that.

I’m new to Phoenix and needed to upgrade the RAM and replace the battery on my 2007 MacBook Pro (I know… ancient in the laptop realm). After doing a Unilocal search I found Mac I Am and boy am I glad I did! After several wrong turns in downtown and then ffffiiinnnaaalllyyyy finding a place to park… I walked into their front door about 15 minutes before closing. Expecting to just drop my laptop off to be picked up later in the week… I was amazed when the gentleman told me that he had the RAM AND the battery I needed in stock!!! Bang, bing, boom… I walked out about 20 minutes later with a laptop that was just as fast as the day it was purchased and not an arm and a leg missing! As of this posting I’m having a problem with the new battery not charging… but, I contacted them and they said to just stop by with my laptop and the new and old batteries and they’d take care of it!!! I can’t praise this store or the gentleman working there enough!!! Oh, and they even refund you $ 5 bucks if you had to park in the parking garage!!! First class business with first class service all the way!

They’re okay… I guess. Haven’t personally used them for my Apple products, but have played side-​kick PIC to my beloved colleague. My coworker coerced me to accompany her as she felt I had some «solid negotiation skills». Umm… okay… happy to help! :)
So, we were unable to get them to knock off $ 60 for servicing 2 iPhones, but more like $ 40. We really pushed too. Bahahaha (evil laugh).
I noticed they didn’t text or call MY phone when my coworker’s phones (2) were ready for pick-​up. One of my personal pet-​peeves — esp when businesses ask for an alternate #! Lame, just lame. :(

I broke my iPhone for the first time last week and didn’t know what to do. I did a quick google search and found many repair shops near where I live, most of them required me to either pay them ridiculously high prices or they wanted to keep my iPhone for hours so they could fix it. One of my coworkers mentioned that she got her iPhone repair done at Mac I Am during her lunch break and that they were fast. The very next day I walked into Mac I Am to request a quote and I was amazed with the level of customer service I received. They quoted me nearly half of what other shops quoted me and they only needed my iPhone for 30 minutes. I dropped off my iPhone and went to subway across the street. I came back a little early and was expecting to wait for my phone to be fixed but to my surprise they were already finished with the repair. I will for sure recommend this place to everyone I work with! The thing that impressed me the most about Mac I Am was their friendly and professional staff, the cleanliness of their store is ridiculous! It looks like a mini Apple store in there. They also tested my iPhone before and after it was repaired to make sure nothing went wrong durning the process. If you work downtown this is the place to go for your repair and I’m really glad I found these guys.

I actually went to their new location at 4207 N. Scottsdale Road (Scottsdale, AZ 85 251). It is in a very strange location, positioned in a small room behind a small boutique clothing store. You either have to walk through the boutique store or drive around the back to find the back entrance. The important thing is that they have a commercial presence and regular store hours. Many of the folks in the cell-​phone repair business work out of their apartment or some other sketchy arrangement. I felt very comfortable walking in to this business office because the location is fantastic (very close to my home and in the heart of Old Scottsdale) and they used professional invoice forms unlike many other repair places that work on a «cash only» and a handshake basis. They obviously saw the advantages of having a business storefront, but they don’t want to waste precious funds on unnecessary overhead, like a large building.
Enough about the storefront, let’s discuss the service. Mel, the tech on duty, was extremely friendly and professional. We had some problems fixing the screen of my phone, but it turns out it was an issue with my phone — not the screen. This was verified by another independent source. Mel was completely upfront about the service, the cost of the service, the expected wait time, what he could do and what he could not do, and the likely outcome of the repair.
I was extremely happy with the outcome of my transaction. This is a small operation in a very small location, but the service is top-​notch. Mel was honest and completely trustworthy. I would definitely return, and I would send anybody I know to utilize his services if they are having cell phone issues that are not covered by a warranty or insurance.

30 mins for a new screen. Stayed and waited for the phone to be repaired. Got it done with no small talk. Just the way I like it. Good job guys.

I took my iPhone here after I dropped it in my pool and it went dead. The downtown location was good for me becuase it was within walking distance from my work. I walked in with no appointment on Tuesday, and picked the phone up on Wednesday. I didn’t know if it would ever work again but they got it to work just fine. It still had some water spots on the screen after cleaning but they cleared up within 12 hours from just using the phone. Bottom line is the phone is like new again and Mac I Am saved me some coin.
