Michael’s BarberShop

I work just around the corner from this small shop and there’s a lot of competition for barbers nearby. Since moving back to Arizona from San Diego three years ago, I haven’t been able to completely settle in with one particular barber. I’ve gone to the bigger shops like V’s and Gentleman Joe’s, to the solo-​run shops like Michael’s and everywhere in between.
I got my first cut at Michael’s shop last night and I’ll definitely be going back to him. The guy straight up knows what he’s doing. As other reviews have mentioned, he’s very detail-​oriented and will take as much time as he needs (and you allow) to get it just right. Every guy knows that a sloppy fade looks and feels terrible, so it’s imperative that it’s blended correctly. It’s a pretty fair assessment to say that guys are pickier about their hair than most women. That being said, if you want to take a little more off or change your mind during the cut, Michael is extremely friendly and doesn’t make you feel like you should just sit there and deal with it. He wants to you speak up and is very easy to talk to.
A lot of barbers make you feel awkward when you want to make the slightest of changes and that’s definitely not the case here. That alone can’t be understated but the quality of cut for a very fair price is what will make you come back. He’s also very accommodating if you want to come in last minute or later than normal hours.
PS — Michael is in the back room of another office as he recently moved in to start his own shop, so don’t be fooled just by looking in the window.

Michael is the man! He truly puts in the the time and attention to detail when getting me cleaned up. The location is somewhat hidden but once you find it it, Michael makes all of his clients feel welcome. The price is always right and I have been exclusively using Michael as my barber and will remain loyal. He is so dedicated he even came in on his day off. I get tons of compliments on my hair and beard. Give this place a try you won’t regret it!

Michael is one of the best barbers I have found anywhere. Pays great attention to detail and won’t rush you in and out. I have been going to Michael for three years now and have never had a bad cut.

Michael is a fantastic barber. I was recommended to him by a friend and after getting a taper there I haven’t gone anywhere else since. He takes his time to give you the best haircut and pays extreme attention to detail. Also a very secluded environment, you never feel rushed or have to deal with the busyness of most other barbershops. Michael makes sure you feel comfortable and does a great job.

This is by far the best experience at a Barber Shop I’ve ever had. Michael is a haircut genius. I’ve never had someone be so attentive to my hair. He went over my head ten times at least just to make sure the shaved part was perfect. Then he started on the rest of my hair. He used scissors and was very careful making sure he cut it to the right length. The cut was perfect. More importantly my wife loved it as well. Plus, Mike gave me a shave with a straight razor. I was a little nervous but Mike really took good care of my beard. He trimmed it and made it really clean. I can’t wait to come back when I’m in town.
