I liked Dr Lisa Pepka but her front office is pretty terrible, our first appt no one answered the phone when I calling for help finding the office than when i finally did get to the appt the Dr checked us in. Kind of strange and signals to me that it isnt the most efficiently run office. Half the time I call and I’m put on hold which is no big deal but then after five minutes of waiting i’m disconnected. When your kid is sick you want to feel like the whole office cares and I don’t get that feeling. The front also has a bit of sass to them, I get it you don’t want to deal with me and im annoying. I want an appointment and i’d like more than ‘I’ll call you back sometime today’ for an answer. Humor me, think about if it was your kid. The nurse we had also wasn’t super warm and fluffy, you work in pediatrics slap a smile on for God sake.

We were referred to Dr. Pepka by my gynecologist 18 years ago while pregnant with our first child; my Doctors own children were his patients. We have two children that have been patients for the past 18 years and 11 years. Ten years ago we moved 20 miles west of the his office but have continued to commute because we have been so happy. Through the 18 years we have had our children in for routine visits and more concerning visits. Each time our experience has been pleasant from the initial phone call, to the nurse, Doctor visit and check out. We have always received positive customer service and Dr. Pepka has returned calls well into the later evening hours along with follow-​up calls to check in during or following a serious illness. As our daughter grew into her teen years we transitioned her to visit with Dr. Lisa for her well checks; Dr. Lisa like her father has a wonderful personality. Our nephew is a patient here too. We have trusted our children with them over the years and would highly recommend them to others.

I have been seeing Dr. Pepka as well as his daughter (who also works as a pediatrician in the office) for the past 2 years. The office staff are incredibly friendly and the facility is warm and inviting. I would recommend this place to any new parents and even parents of older children. Both Dr. Pepka and Dr. Lisa Pepka have always been understanding and nothing but helpful and their answering service has been a life saver on more than one occasion. If you are in the market for a pediatrician these two are definitely worth considering.
