Denny’s

This place is horrible. I told my wife to never go here again after last time but she told me it was better. Big mistake. Do yourself a favor go literally anywhere else.

This place used to be good what happened? First off on my gf French toast she finds a hair on her plate, next thing I look to my left and there are ants crawling on the table and the wall wtf? Then right on the window a fly is there flying around, I’m used to dealing with bad service but when the restaurant has bugs out in daylight can’t begin to imagine what is crawling around in the cooking area, we told the manager he just gave a dumb look and moved on oh well I’m sure we won’t be the firsts to notice this

This dennys is HORRIBLE! There’s a rude waitress named Melanie that does not care if you came in before or after someone. She laughs and just says «it doesn’t matter.» Do not come here unless you want rude customer service and slow service.

This place is way better than the other denny’s in the area. The one in east la is worst and the montebello is ok. The server is fast. The place is clean. This is the only denny’s i know that have the kids eat free everyday.

Straight horrible service all past reviews true to a «T» went in stood there like idiots for 5 min finally seated only 3 tables 1 eating 1 waiting and us and sat there listening to next table complaining about waiting they tried waving him down no luck we said screw this 15 no interaction … went to norms and In 5 min coffee and order taken

Went in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Not too busy and as previous reviews have mentioned the manager stands behind the register and makes no attempt to sit or greet you. The waitress only served me coffee once! The sugar tray did not have regular sugar and flagging her down was an odyssey. I had to take the sugar from another table. I asked for well cooked bacon and was given what looked like a piece of cardboard. Did I mention she only served me coffee once! I do not recommend this place at all and don’t think I’ll ever come back. Yuk! Waste of money.

Was there Sunday 3÷5÷2016 around 1pm restaurant was empty and the service was so slow. They had alot of tables open but didnt attempt to sit us down i guess they forgot we where standing there waiting to be seated. Finally got seated it took a good 15mins for them to come take our drink order. The waitress was really nice. Got our order wrong thought. The food was ok except for my omelette part of the egg was burned. I doubt i will come back.

Horrible service. Called in order at 8am. They said 10min. Food wasn’t ready until 8:35! Cold. Incorrect order. Missing items. Never again.

My favorite Denny’s location. It’s like all the other Denny’s, but better. Great staff, food is always good and fresh. This location is never too busy.

This store needs a new manager! The rest of the staff is great, very attentive and polite. The manager on the other hand, standing behind the register by himself, people walk in and instead of greeting them he walks away.

I usually visit this location. On this day no more than 7 customers the service was slow, I don’t mind hearing the laughing coming from the service area but don’t ignore your customers. Also I receive two glasses with the rims broken with sharp edges. Displeased with today’s visit.

The place is not to big it gives a cozy feeling. Food was great. Service was excellent. Will come back soon ;)

Second time visiting this location in Whittier and again had a nice experience; great service by Mario our waiter, and delicious Santa Fe skillet… my family enjoyed their meals too and plenty enough to share around the table. …couldn’t resist and had to have the apple crisp. mucho bueno!!! Gracias Mario.

Lava cake. It’s good but needs to have more vanilla ice cream. It dries up from all the chocolate and fudge inside the brownie. It’s good they warm the brownie. I recommend this.

I came in at 6pm and had great service. My order was done wrong and they made me awhole new one .no questions just let me get you your order

Place has the worse service EVER!!! Only reason why I come here is because it’s close to home.

worst Denny’s ever! I get it, sometimes the waiters are busy but our guy ignored us completely and walked by us 3 times and not once said he would even be with us. It wasn’t even busy it was a weekday! We got up and walked out after waiting for 15 minutes just to get our order taken. Don’t go here unless you enjoy being ignored.

At first we have always been reluctant to come to this Denny’s despite being so close to our home. Glad we did. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness despite not being as spacious as other places.
Our server was Samantha and she was very attentive and served us with a great attitude. A+!
The food was delicious. I had the country fried steak, delish. The wife had the grandslam with pancakes. Also delish. Totally recommend this place.

Staying with a friend. Can’t sleep. So I go to Denny’s alone about 1:00 a.m. I order the $ 6 French toast breakfast, which includes 2 eggs, sausage or bacon and hash browns. The server, a nice, attentive young guy, asks, «What kind of eggs do you want?» I say, «Chicken.» He laughs. We’re off to a good start.
Anyway, the breakfast was pretty good for 6 bucks, or any price. My only complaint is that the hash browns were undercooked. The staff was friendly, the place was very clean, the booths were comfortable, and one employee mopped the floor more thoroughly than my house has ever been mopped.
Actually, I returned to that Denny’s that night because I had been there the day before for dinner, and had an excellent experience. I ordered the avocado chicken Caesar salad. Very good. Plenty of tender chicken and large, attractive slices of avocado. A smattering of bacon. The dressing and croutons were really flavorful. My friend ordered a double cheese burger and seasoned fries. Both were very good, and the hamburger was cooked perfectly. Surprisingly good for Denny’s. Our server was perky and nice, and appropriately attentive.
I realize this place has gotten some poor reviews — dirty silverware and all. There’s nothing more disgusting than dirty silverware, so I understand the low ratings. My experience, however, was good – better than expected from Denny’s. 4 stars from me!
