Very good stuffed mushrooms. The frozen margarita was the best I’ve ever had. The cilantro lime chicken was excellent. The baked chicken bow tie festival dish was the best. Spaghetti and meatballs was okay — the pasta was over cooked and the meatball was okay.

We stopped in on a whim while on vacation. The restaurant is large, clean, and available to easily seat large parties. The service was very good and the food was outstanding. Fresh, hot, and authentic Italian food. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was great and served in a cast iron skillet with the cheese bubbling. The lasagna was stuffed with sausage and ricotta and the portion was quite large and tasted wonderful. The tortellini was also very good and we even got a side of meatballs to try them and they didn’t disappoint. The most surprising thing was finding out that it’s a chain restaurant(we don’t have one where we live) because it was handled like a we’ll run family restaurant.

We were unsure about coming here since it was a chain restaurant. It really wasn’t so bad. We got sat right away. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was awesome. We started off with the calamari as the appetizer. It was a large portion and they were delicious. One thing I did like about the appetizer menu was that you can get different portions in it. We also got some pizza like roll up and they were huge! I had a really tough time choosing what I wanted on the menu. I finally got the spicy chicken and shrimp. It was a large portion. Had a good amount of chicken and shrimp and the sauce was delicious. It wasn’t spicy enough for me so I added crushed red peppers to it. My husband got the grilled chicken bowtie festival. The cream sauce was good. It also had a good amount of chicken and bacon to it. He just wished it had more vegetables to it. Overall, we were pleased with the restaurant. Better than olive garden by the way.

This place is worth a trip. Service was great, food was good. All the adults had plenty to fill a to-go box after dinner. I’d compare this as better than Olive Garden and on par with other flourishing independent Italian restaurants. They have their service down pat. We went on a Friday night at the beginning of season so they were busy but very much had the place under control. Specifically I can recommend the bread with the crunchy roasted garlic chunks + olive oil mix. I got the skilletini and was served sliced grilled chicken, grilled onions and grilled green peppers over angel hair… in a super hot sizzling cast iron pan. Simple and good. Also try the various Italian soda flavors for a twist. Although we’re on vacation, it seems sad to go out to dinner somewhere else tonight because we have 5 full to-go trays in the refrigerator of Carino’s food from last night!

Me, my boyfriend and his parent’s went to this place under the recommendation of the locals for Valentine’s Day. We we’re seated quickly, the food came out hot, fresh, and very good! Or waitress was a very sweet Ukrainian woman who was very accommodating. I would love to back on my next visit to the city and would recommend it to my friends and family.

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and we have enjoyed dining out at local place. He had never dined at Johnny Carino’s and we went there. The bread was warm and olive oil with herbs was very good. The salads were served on cold plates and were fresh. I enjoyed the angel hair pasta with olives, tomatoes and artichokes. It was great. My husband had shrimp pasta with a red sauce. It was great. It is a nice and delicious place to dine

Came in here on a whim because we needed dinner nearby. The ambiance is great, the service is incredibly fast(didn’t even finish my salad before dinner was out), but the food just doesn’t have any taste. The complimentary bread was good and warm but better without the dipping they provided. Mine had a seed in it. Also I wasn’t sure what else was scattered in it but it was hard and chewy. We both got pasta and traded out what it came with for angel hair pasta. Supposedly mine, the Spicy Romano Chicken, was spicy… it was not. Didn’t even tingle. Hubby’s alfredo was way too strong on the alfredo and reminded me of the stuff from the can. Not balanced out at all. . The house salad was fantastic and I love that they used a different kind of cheese rather than just american. I usually request to leave mine off but I was glad I left it on, here. The creamy gorgonzola dressing tasted great, but not as dressing. I mixed it with vinaigrette and it tasted good together. It’s better off as cheese, not dressing, at least in my opinion. Loved: — bread — House Salad(leave cheese on) — House Vinaigrette Ok: — Chicken Fettuccine(subbed for angel hair) — Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing(not good as dressing) — Spicy Romano Chicken(subbed for angel hair)

The food here is amazing. Imagine Olive Garden on heroine and steroids and you have Johnny Carinos. The service was great, The bread is fresh and baked in house. I had the chicken parmigiana and subbed the marinara for Alfredo. Very very impressed.

We decided to try out Mr. Carino’s while visiting the area for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The menu had ample choices and mostly consisted of your standard Italian fare. We ordered the Crispy Green Beans for our appetizer and they were very good. For dinner I had the Shrimp Scampi and though the portion was generous and tasted good, it was very under-seasoned. During our stay in the area we ate at several different places and the one consistent theme was great service and Johnny Carino’s was no exception. However, that will not be enough to get us to go back.

My fiancé and I ate here are last night in town and we could not have picked a better place to eat. Neither of us had ever ate here before so we was not sure what to expect. The food was very fairly priced, it’s conveniently located just off the parkway and the service was amazing. Both of our plates of food was delicious and some of the best Italian either of us had ate.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was here on May 2 with my family on vacation. We chose this location because they could seat us straight away. We had been two two other places prior to this with more than an hour wait to be seated for dinner. Included in our group was a person with strict dietary needs, she could only eat white fish with no seasoning. This was explained to the waitress before we ordered anything to eat. The dinner special blackened, grilled, white fish which was specifically ordered by our party. When her food came out it looked battered and fried, full of grease. Also, one pasta dish came out under cooked and cold, two more were covered in greasy cheese, these should have been baked and to top it all off a child’s order of chicken Alfredo was ordered and we got bow tie mac and cheese. We asked to speak to a manager and she totally acted like she didn’t care about all the mistakes and cold food. This place is terrible. Wouldn’t eat there again for free, don’t waste your time or money at this place.

the food and service were great. but the variation of Italian food was too rich. though it was very good, our stomachs did not like it. the restaurant was clean, staff polite, plenty of parking and restaurant at 7:30pm was very busy.
