Went there for the Saturday, before Valentines Day. Had 6:30pm reservations and was immediately sat when we arrived. Food was very good. Wait staff was very nice. We had reservations, but were put in the«art gallery» area where the lights were full up. It was a little awkward, quiet room and very bright. Each couple asked as they were sat, «you don’t have anything in the main dining area?» I would go back, food was really good, but I would have really preferred to sit in the main dining area.

What a ridiculous restaurant. We made reservations and were seated immediately. Our clueless waitress didn’t take our order for 20 minutes, and then we waited over an hour for our entrées. The food was fine, but nothing worth waiting an hour for, and nothing worth that price. The ambience was one step above a Denny’s, and they were out of toilet paper in the bathroom. Don’t waste your money here.

Drove 1.5hrs to eat at my favorite spot and off the bat I am disappointed. The menus are smaller, grease stained and the sparkle seems to have been dulled when it comes to the ambiance of the place. Food is amazing as always just sad to see such a dwindling menu.

It is so rare to find truly good chefs like Elliot and his team. The flavors and presentation were spot on and the fusion cocktail the bar tender created was a perfect start to our meal. And I can’t forget the perfect décor and atmosphere. Our waitress Klye(not sure on spelling) was a gem!!! So worth every penny.

What a great find. Our group was looking for a place that was good, but not stuffy like other local fine dining establishments. Atmosphere was is casual, Food is delicious! I highly recommend the Duck spring rolls andTruffle Mac and cheese. Steaks were cooked to perfection, service was good our waiter did an awesome job with recommendation for food and wine. Love the farm to table concept, they are doing it well.

The pretentiousness level is toxic. I went with a group of friends and waited over twenty minutes for menus. We had to flag down a waitress to ask for our server. She gave me a stunned stare when I didn’t have my wine choice on the tip of my tongue only to learn she’d never supplied a drink menu. We had to flag her back to take the rest of my party’s order. The original waitress we flagged decided to gossip about my friend to the party next to us. Together with our server and the chef, when my friend ordered a vegan salad(and really people, a vegan salad? How hard is that?) they mocked her then rolled their eyes behind her back. Needless to say, for a restaurant that charges $ 46 for a plate of elk, you’d think the staff would know better than to act like the second shift at Waffle House after hours. We left and went to Dugans where the service is amazing, the drinks are cheap, and the vegan salads are doable.

We we’re extremely surprised by the place. Very sophisticated and great surrounding. We started with a wonderful Pinot from a good wine list. We followed with a great version of shrimp and grits, gnocchi with ham hocks and the best version of chicken and waffle with kale. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Very cosmopolitan and inventive. Our server Eryn was the best

The best fine dining in Pinehurst. If you are looking for fine dining in this area, Elliotts is the best choice, and one of only a few worth going to. The salmon with bourbon glaze cooked on a cedar plank has always been excellent — and I do not particularly even like cooked salmon. This is still moist in the center, and not overly cooked as you often find. Good cuts of meat — one more recent trip I had the elk, which was very good. The martini’s are also very nice. One negative I would say is that they do not change the menu as often as I would like. The décor is very pleasant as well.

We had such a wonderful meal and experience last evening here. The atmosphere is classy, yet casual. The waiters are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great wine list with reasonable prices. The chef really goes out of his way to be innovative and fresh. We started with the shrimp and grits which were world class. My daughter had the chicken waffles which sounds so strange but they were really delicious. I had the NY Steak with truffle mac ‘n cheese. I could taste the quality of the cheese in the mac ‘n cheese. My NY Steak while being cooked to perfection and of high quality had a toughness to it and while very tasty was not quite as tasty as I have had at restaurants where I give 5 stars. The dessert was delectable. Go here for fun and a high quality dining experience.

Deserving of five stars for the food, even if the service was not quite where we would want it to be. Everything was on point: chef treat before ordering, excellent wine list, creative food pairings, fresh ingredients, and good, but not great service. The food made up for the less than stellar service, that, like I said, was adequate but not exceptional. Oddly enough, we had a party of 10 and they didn’t have an automatic tip added, I actually thought that was a nice touch. So, basically, if you’re in Pinehurst, this is the go to place… highly recommended. Like the rest of Pinehurst though, be aware that the pricing of this restaurant is in line with the Disney World prices you get everywhere around this destination.

All the food was good, but the Shrimp and Grits were amazing! Will definitely be back again next time we are in town, we had a lovely dinner here.

Cute restaurant. We came in from a recommendation by the bartender at Drum and Quill. The temperature in the restaurant was very chilly so Ladies, I would not recommend dresses without a sweater to throw over your shoulders. Our neighboring diners did ask the staff to change the temperature because we were all shivering. The staff quickly responded. I’ll admit I’m a tough critic when it comes to service and unfortunately the service was not great. We placed our drink order(wine and beer) and our appetizer order at the same time and our food came out immediately. We didn’t have flatware yet. We started with the crab salad. The crab meat was excellent and the corn and watercress were very fresh. The horseradish panna cotta was the first savory panna cotta I’ve ever had. It was good but I could have gotten along fine with about half of the panna cotta that was served. The amuse came after the crab salad because the salad came so fast. The amuse shouldn’t have been served at all. We asked our waitress what her favorite entrée was at the moment but she instead just read the menu to us. My boyfriend had the burger special which was a short rib burger. He said it was good but messy. I had the rabbit pot pie which we should have shared. The pot pie was loaded with tender pieces of rabbit. The vegetables were a bit lacking but the foie gras gravy was amazing. The food was great, I’m just bummed about the service.

This is our FAVORITE place to grab a bite to eat whenever we are in Pinehurst! If you are there for dinner the biscuits are to die for and I always feel like I can eat just that for dinner! But how can you come here and not try the Salmon Special?!! On top of the amazing food the Bloody Mary is the BEST in North Carolina, hands down! They do have a small kids menu but my boys generally just get the burger that’s on special. Chef Elliot has put together a grand place for a nice lunch or special dinner, the staff is friendly and knowledgable and always helpful when accommodating a «picky» kiddo at the table!

Anytime I’m in the Pinehurst area I make sure to visit EOL. Chef mark has been one of my favorite chefs for many years and I love the way he teaches the up and coming chefs in the area. I’ve been here several times both by myself and with large corporate groups and every time the service and food have been excellent. I can’t wait to return. Do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Elliotts On Linden and see why they are one of the top rated in the area.

Great food and atmosphere for Valentine’s Day dinner. Clearly overbooked and I had made our reservation weeks before. Had to wait because the kitchen was in the weeds. Then was offered the table right behind the hostess station which we turned down. We were taken to the gallery where there were several tables available. Our waitperson came quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. Loved the Pimm’s cup I ordered. Out calamari was crispy and hot. We had to ask for silverware as our table wasn’t laid when we sat down. My duck entrée was delicious. Once again we had to ask for utensils. We finally took napkins off another table. I’d like to try it again on a non holiday. I hear overbooking is a consistent issue. Since it was a celebration our two hours was not a problem. Fill in waitstaff was clearly being used.

This restaurant is in the top five of all restaurants in the southern pines/pinehurst area restaurants. There are not many restaurants you can come to and order elk, rabbit or bison and trust that the food is cooked to perfection. The cocktail list is extensive but my girlfriend and I always like to see if the bartender can make drinks off the menu. His old fashioned and mint julep cocktails(not on menu) were perfect. Drinks are not light on the bourbon and have a great suddle flavor to them. I would recommend this to any of my friends. When you are done with your dinner go to their store next door. You can order many of their meats and cheeses from their store that you just ordered for dinner. Look forward to returning in the future.

Wait staff– exceptional at every level. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu, offering her opinions of the dishes and the specials they tried before dinner service. We had a somewhat large group and every need was accommodated. I was very impressed with the manner they all carried themselves. Food– Good and prepared correctly. I had scallops and their lamb for the entrée. I wished the lamb had a bit more seasoning, the turnip and parsnip mash were both good as well. The timing was a tad off but it is cause two in our party ordered the rabbit pie. Waitress prepped that normally takes 45 mins. We had ordered apps and had plenty of wine to go around. It was a special occasion and no one was in a rush to get out of there. We finished the apps and there was a little lag in the entrees but nothing to complain about. I wouldn’t say the food was outstanding or impressive. But it was good and tasty. Atmosphere– Very nice, it was a little loud when we came in but I was still able to hear most of my table and we could carry a conversation. It is separated into rooms so it helps with the noise a little. They have a room closer to the bar where they have a bar menu. The options sounded very good from what our waitress was telling us. Secondly they have a provisions shop in the rooms next to it that you can buy the meats or the rabbit pie frozen, plus wine and beers that are sold there to. All in all great place that created a great memory for me. Good food, great service and all in a great atmosphere. I would certainly go back. The only reason they don’t get a 5 star is for food just wish it was a tad more in seasoning and flavor.

My family and I LOVE this place, it’s our favorite spot in Pinehurst! I went twice in one week with family that was from out of town for Thanksgiving. They were able to accommodate our party of 15 people with short notice, our waitress Sam was amazing and every single person couldn’t stop raving about the food. We went for lunch for my grandmas 80th birthday celebration, brought a cake and the restaurant was so accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality food with a great vibe and friendly staff!

Shake it like a salt shaker. I believe the chef was listening to this song when ALL the food was made. Can’t believe how bad everything was prepared. Had the calamari, potstickers, bison filet, and a ny strip and nothing tasted the part. I frequent a ton of restaurants and this was highly disappointing. I was impressed when the chef came out and actually apologized… however it then took the staff about 30minutes to give us a 25% discount… the bison alone is $ 49 so 25% really didn’t make a dent. Was really disappointed and will never step foot in this place again.
