Order 2 rice plates and 2 sandwiches. One of the sandwich had 3 strands of hair in it. It didn’t taste good to begin with and seeing the hair made it worst. The rice plates tasted bad and oily. probably had a total of 5 bites and threw everything away.

I come here often. I’ve been a customer ever since they opened. I remember when my mother brought me here many years ago. Quick and friendly service. The Banh-Mi bread is baked freshly everyday; they usually run out of bread 2 hours before they close. It’s happened to me a lot lol. Grilled Chicken, Grilled Beef or Grilled Pork sandwiches are always on point! Their appetizers and very cheap and worth it! The rice plate & vermicelli dish are very delicious. I would recommend this Banh-Mi spot to anybody! They also have pearl(tapioca) drinks to quench your thirst. Very affordable, price ranges from $ 2 for a appetizer, $ 3 for a sandwich, and $ 6-$ 7 a rice/vermicelli plate.

small family run place. seats 5. friendly. bread is very fresh. a little crunchy on the outside and so chewy on the inside. pork was very tender and flavor was good but too subtle. carrot flavoring was also too subtle. overall, not a bad sandwich. it would be a great sandwich if the flavoring was enhanced.

I went here for sandwiches and found it was average for a vietnamese sandwich. the meat was sliced circular pieces layers on top of eachother so i’m guessing they use cheaper quality meats than the vietnamese sandwich i’m used to. I’m more used to a pork sandwich being meaty, and not uniform in shape at all. also, there was hardly any dressing and not enough radish and carrots as i’d prefer. however, it is close to home and it was pretty good for just $ 3. i will definately come back to try their other dishes but as far as sandwiches go, i’m down to try another one but maybe a different one perhaps their stewed beef sandwich? i’m guessin that pieces of beef from their beef stew in the bread with the normal toppings. anyway, thank the person who told me about this place for takin me here cuz i did enjoy it. i hope they’re not mad that i don’t think it’s as all that as i had previously thought.

After b*tching for a while that there was no banh mi(Vietnamese sandwiches) in Pinole, I saw this place while driving on San Pablo. I walk in and theres this tiny little Vietnamese deli owned by a small born-in Vietnam Chinese family. They were extremely friendly and their menu offered a large number of choices from hu tieu(noodle soup) to desserts. However, looking at the name I figured they specialized in sandwiches so I order a Banh Mi Dac Biet(combination with Vietnamese ham, ears, pâté) for 3 bucks. The sandwich was pretty good, they toast up the bread fresh for you and they put a lot of meat so though 3 bucks is more than what Cam Huong would charge you, I think its worth it. This place is a great option for Vietnamese sandwiches if you don’t want to drive far away.
