This is what a local coffee shop should be. Simple and whimsical furniture, art on the walls, customers drinking coffee, reading books, working on lap tops, talking, smiling, laughing. Friendly service, high quality coffee drinks, many baked goods under glass domes. Stop here on your next Mt. Lebanon visit.

This spot is all about the vibe, which then aids in the enjoyment of the product all the more. It is not necessarily a specific drive for the coffee type-a-place(nor special stop worthy, but all-around okay). But I would not be opposed to selecting from their numerous Baked options, having a cup, and chilling in their setup. It seems like a great place to get things done, read, meet-up, relax, etc. So, I recommend going because the complete package makes this place worthwhile. There is not one specific thing that will blow your mind, but when all working synergistically, this place comes together nicely.

I’ve frequented this local coffee spot over the past months and every time it’s been busy but thankfully service was swift and friendly. Always order my standard small non-fat latte and it’s always steaming hot and strong. Last week my daughter and I shared their seasonal chocolate pumpkin bread which was delicious(though I must admit sharing with a 2 ½ yr old usually means you get one bite in before they finish it). Suffice it to say we had a good time. Giving it 3 stars for consistency in staff friendliness and quality of beverages and baked goods but would happily give 5 stars if they upped the warm/cozy vibe worked in to their overall décor(sorry I hail from Seattle and I want to enjoy my coffee shop for all it’s worth). Perhaps a small loveseat or more armchairs?

I’ve been here a few times and always had a positive experience. The atmosphere is like having coffee in someone’s kitchen. Very cozy. The drinks have a much more authentic feel than the mega-machine known as Starbucks. They also offer several homemade cookies and baked items that they bake onsite. Everything has been tasty and prices are reasonable especially for the quality of what you get. My only mini-issue has been problems with the wi-fi only intermittently working but overall I really enjoy this place.

coffee here is great, which is the most important thing about a coffee shop. the biggest drawback is the rude staff. never have i felt welcomed or comfortable. good music and lots of comfortable seating, free wifi and outlets. just need to hire new employees.

This place makes a mean capuchino and great muffins!!! But… It’s always dirty. I can sit there for a couple hours and never see anyone sweep or clean a table. Don’t think the floor has ever been washed. Come on, you can do better then this!!!

The customer service here was really bad. When you go to a coffee shop you expect to be treated well and feel invited, not treated rude and disrespected. I will not be returning to this shop. AND parking was terrible.

Good coffees and lattes major bonus for almond milk but staff not that friendly. If your looking for a good latte with almond milk its a good choice just ignore the grouchy staff.

Location The place is open late, which can be a good and bad thing, when I walked in it was later at night and the barista was hanging out with a group of 12 teenagers sprawled across a set of tables, not really purchasing anything, just there. They were loud and didn’t really mind other customers in the location. I grabbed my coffee and left as I being in my mid 20’s was out of place. Think of the beehive when they let 14 yr olds in. Food: It has a variety of coffees and pastries. The coffee I had was a medium roast that had a good smooth taste, without too much acidity. The coffee was pretty fresh for the time, but I wish there was more information about it. I tried one of their cookies and man was I let down. I thought it would be amazing with how it looked. Service: The barista didn’t know location of grounds or any information about it other than«house blend». Once she got away from her friends, she was a bit more helpful, but she tried to rush us out so she could get back to what she was doing. Overall: I want to like this place, I really do. It’s right near my house so I will try it again. Good coffee outweighs mediocre cookies anyday.

This is such a great spot in the heart of Mt. Lebanon. Their vanilla nut flavored coffee is delicious and a must try when it’s available. The staff is super friendly and there’s an array of seating options(large tables, small tables, couches, overstuffed chairs, etc.) to accommodate any size group.

The kinda place that makes you wonder how Starbucks ever became a thing. Pastries are amazing. Iced Tea is always fresh. Best coffee shop in the area.

This was my first time and coffee & pastries were delicious. I had pumpkin coffee, a cinnamon roll, and later, a pumpkin spice latte. The atmosphere was totally coffee-shop-esque. It was pretty busy(Plein Air weekend); it was nice to see a lot of activity. I came here to study and was undisturbed for the 5 hours I sat in the corner. I originally had trouble connecting to the WiFi, but that was all my computer’s fault :) I can’t wait to go back, Uptown might become my weekend study haven!

Uptown coffee has delicious milkshakes, hot chocolate and to die for m and m cookies! The staff are definitely much more friendly than at orbis café down the street. The only thing about this place is it always looks dirty especially the floors. Other than that this is my favorite coffee shop in Mt.lebanon.

A recent discovery of mine and I’m glad that I found it! I loved the home-y feel of this place. There were lots of tables to work on, each with it’s own individualized lamp! The artwork on the walls were fun to look at. The cup sizes for iced drinks are really big! A small is the equivalent of at least a medium(if not bigger) at a place like Starbucks. I’m lactose intolerant so I get soy milk but they don’t charge me extra for it!(Usually $ 0.70 or more elsewhere). Parking is tricky but I always find a spot. plus the location is on a nice strip with other stores and offices so parking further down the street is worth the stroll.

Great local coffee shop. I come here a few times a week to work, and the free wifi and spacious seating are much appreciated. It can get loud at times, but nothing headphones won’t fix. Love their iced coffee and iced tea of the day, especially the acai green tea. The pumpkin chocolate chip bread is really moist and delicious as well.

Out of town visitor in pittsburgh and needed to get some work done so came here. It was awesome! At first I was bummed they didn’t have pour over coffee but the iced coffee was delicious. I also got the veggie sandwich and granola. Both were amazing and may have been one of the best vegetarian sandwiches I’ve had– tons of veggies, hummus and flavor. My sister got a cookie and ham sandwich bth that she loved. Free wifi, lots of room to sit. Lastly, very friendly staff. They told me they bake their extensive bakery goods there and helped me navigate my way to kennywood during rush hour for my sis. I went back today and was still awesome.

This is a decent coffee house. But it comes off as a bit aloof when it should be warm and inviting. It’s not like I’m bothering them, it’s just that they are ambivalent. No smiles in this place. The coffee drinks are not bad. They make them right and I don’t have to wait long, all good. The desert stuff is so-so. Split a big, beautiful piece of cake with my lovely wife. Cake was very dry. Disappointing. The cookies are big and look great, but the peanut butter cookies just really taste like sugar-cookies.

Not a huge fan of it anymore and don’t come in as often since I’m not«roaming» around the Lebo area as much as I did a few years back. I loved it here back when I was in high school though. My friends and I would always come here for a quick afterschool pick-me drinks & yummy pastries. Or sometimes a group of us would get together here to study on the weekend. We love the raspberry Italian/French soda and their banana bread is just so good! Seems like they have new workers over the years and they’re all good but I still prefer those baristas that used to work there all the time about 4 years ago. We just clicked instantly and they knew exactly what we wanted…

This is the go-to café in Mt. Lebanon nowadays. There’s plenty of room and the space is welcoming. The coffee is terrific and the barista welcomes and chats with customers. The pastries and sweets are always evolving, so every time you visit there will be something new to try.

Weird experience. I asked what they use for their Chai Latte and they said they have their own«mix.» I’m here to tell you… I have no clue what they gave me. I felt like it was peppermint spiced tea, with half water half steamed milk. It was pretty gross, and wasn’t even remotely close to a Chai latte. I also tried to make convo with the Barista’s. They were having none of that. They just wanted to work, I guess. Maybe jam to their awesome playlist, which I can definitely give them credit for. Their desserts and pastries looked amazing! So I had to take home some cookies. I chose a sugar cookie and mexican cookie. The sugar cookie was that weird crumbly kind. I like doughy goodness. I’m not wasting my calories on a bad cookie. The mexican cookie was just the same consistency. Ugh! Too bad, the place is super cute, but in my opinion it’s an utter fail. Oh wait, free internets. Not a total loss… Sorry buds!
