This is as Americana as you can get. I remember the good old days when we had Double A professional baseball and today’s Pittsfield Suns can’t match that level of play. But the Suns are fun, fan friendly and wallet friendly. Box seats runs $ 6 and food prices are about a 1⁄10 of what you would pay in the major league stadium. The players always sign autographs for the kids and parking is free. I love the history of this place and would hate to see it abandoned someday.

Minor League baseball at ten dollars a head. At one historic park! Understand they call«time out» some nights for sunsets because the batters are in jeopardy. All wood, great sight lines, and the staff work their butts off delivering a good product. They do fun things between inning involving the paying customers. It’s minor league baseball at its best.

Supposedly the oldest ballpark in America, home of the Pittsfield Colonials, apparently Lou Gehrig once hit a home run into the Housatonic River behind the right field fence, predating the ‘first’ splash landing by about 75 years! Classic Americana, this place smells like $ 2 drafts and grilled dogs. 5STARS.
