Went in for a Togo, asked for spicy mayo on the side, got my food, asked if it was in there and they said yes, then drove all the way home opened & it’s the wrong roll with no spicy mayo. Nice.

I’ve eaten here for years now. I have probably been here 15 – 20 times. Each time is a good if not great experience. I’ve always found the fish to be fresh. The serving runs from okay to great depending on how busy they are. I don’t eat at the bar but plan to next time. I have done the AYCE once and it was great but I don’t eat a lot so it wasn’t really worth it for me. But later this month my whole family and I are going for the AYCE! Can’t wait! LOVE the Jessica roll!

if I could I would give negative stars for this joint. Why asks you… MAJORFOODPOISONING!!! Up all night drinking water and even took aspirin to try to kill my headache then about 5 am I started to puke. I mean really bad for 3 days. My wife ate the california rolls and rainbow. I ate spicy tuna. I guess I should have been concerned because the chef kept coming out and watching me eat. All you can eat should mean the fish is fresher because it turns over more… not when I was there. Eat here at your own risk.

It’s good. Not amazing. Not bad. But it satisfies the craving for sushi. The service is spotty during peak feasting hours. You’ll find yourself a bit thirsty as they scramble to refill your drink, or eyeballing the table next to you as your stomach growls hungrily. The servers really work hard, and you can tell. Unfortunately, there is regularly a gentleman who is probably the manager/owner who just sits there and doesn’t assist, which makes me feel bad about the servers. The AYCE sushi is a good deal as they don’t skimp on the fish. Definitely come here for that. Parking is in a shared lot with other businesses. You’ll always find plenty of spaces to park.

Let’s first get this out of the way: I’m not a fan of AYCE sushi. Therefore, I had already set my expectations before coming here. I am not rating down this place for their sub par sushi. I’m rating this place down because they treat you like a cheap bastard if you do not get AYCE with the rest of your group. Mind you, the bf and I ended up spending more on regular menu items than had we just gotten AYCE like everyone else. About 20 of my friends wanted to come here, I didn’t want to be a party pooper so I tagged along. For $ 25 per person for an AYCE sushi, this is a great. Since I’m not a huge fan of rolls and rice, I did not opt for AYCE. The bf and I ordered sashimi plates.(Side note: They make it blatantly clear that if you leave any rice from your AYCE, they will charge you). As soon as we ordered from the menu, the server asked us to sit at the end of the table so that everyone else can share food. I’m sorry, did you think that I was going to freeload off my friends for free sushi? I was livid. Another friend had ordered a bunch of rolls and he was told he could not order so many at once. He ended up having to order that much anyway but had to wait a long time for every order. Overall, just a bad experience eating here. Will never come back again.

Came here with the my girls for a weeknight dinner. It was really hot inside(not great for fresh fish) but we picked a table. The waitress came by to take our order and we literally never saw her again. The hostess dropped off the kids’ food and then we never saw anyone again. They never even brought my roll. Not sure what to think but after an hour, I had to settle up with the hostess and left. It was really really bad. Won’t be back.

Been here many times in the past. The last 2 times we have noticed the service was lacking and the staff seemed confused. So we stopped going to our normal sushi place. Decided to give it another whirl yesterday for a late mothers day dinner. Mom and I ordered 2 all you can eats, and the kids shared a bento. My kids love tofu and we always request extra tofu in the miso soup. Miso came and ZERO tofu. First rolls came and they gave my mom a hard time about not eating the rolls. Hello, she ordered the all you can eat! Seems like they had a difficult time understanding that her order was all you can eat! So they warned us that who ever didnt order the all you can eat cannot eat from the rolls. Come on lady, I just had my 6 and 7 year old kids with me. What are they going to do? They were watching us like hawks because they thought my kids would have a bite? Sushi seemed bland and wasn’t «poppin» like in the past. Mushy, bland, spicy. The mixes just didn’t flow on any of the rolls. Now, I wasn’t going to Unilocal, since I don’t agree how Unilocal holds businesses hostage if you own a business and choose not to advertise with them, however the following is why I decided too. Woke up at 6am heaving. Sushi didn’t sit well. My son woke up at 7 with stomach pains, and mom, who I took for mothers day, was stuck on the toilet! Never again! If you’re in the area, save some money and enjoy tastier dishes next door at the Saigon Noodle House! Or head up the street on Kraemer to Salt and Ash!

This used to be our go to spot for sushi all the time. Literally, at least once a month. But for some reason the service started getting worse and worse and they take much longer than they used to to bring the food. They cannot accommodate a big party. It seems as if they aren’t used to it and quickly get into a state of panic. The décor is nice and if you go when no one else is there you should be okay. Other than that save your money and go somewhere else.

Came here for the first time after passing by it many times… My husband and I came here for a late lunch/early dinner(4PM) on a Sunday to a fairly empty place(one large group and a small group). We went straight to the bar. I did not read any Unilocal reviews so I really did not know what to expect. It is a typical AYCE for typical prices with typical appetizers, sushi and roll. I wish there was more on the AYCE menu in terms of noodles or dessert. Now that I have read the reviews, I agree that customer service was lacking a bit. Our drinks were not refilled unless asked and no one was around when we came in expect one chief behind rolling sushi– which is why we went straight to bar because we were hungry.

I’m pretty sure I’ve been sitting on the toilet all night becaue the sushi I got today at around 130 was room temperature. I’m almost certain there’s certain temperatures in which food has to be served. Terrible excuse for customer service. Only 6 customers in the entire place and I had to walk my order form from my table up to the sushi bar. Our server left without telling us and I’m sure he didn’t tell his new replacement to even come to us. Only 1 soda refill in 1 hour? My sushi sat at the bar for easily 5 minutes before I made enough noise for them to notice. Avoid this place at all cost.

I would definitely come here again because 1. Atmosphere was very nice, not too loud, decorations were pleasing to the eye, many booths to sit at w/accommodations added to the booths! 2. Food was good, I mean it wasn’t extraordinary but then again I need to come back to try some more options. 3. Service was good, it took a while at the end for the ladies to check in on us when we were done eating for about 20 minutes. Once we flagged them down for the check they immediately processed us and we left within 5 – 10 mins. AYCE menu wasn’t bad. I wish they had more«specialties» rolls added to it instead of many similar items for ingredients. The downer part is that some of the rolls we ordered it didn’t specify if it was deep fried or not. We ended up getting 3 fried rolls(1 of which we knew it was fried because it said so on the menu) but the other two didn’t mention at all. I think they need to have a separate section for whole deep fried rolls type of thing. Anyhow, it’s a cute spot and I can’t complain of AYCE option. Glad we found this place. :)

Salmon skin hand roll is the best here. Not sure why. I spend a lot of my money here and I always leave happy. Occasionally you’ll have a long wait. This is usually when there is a long party. Worth the wait. Joy the main waitress is always so kind. We love her.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Idk why I have been back recently. The last three times, the service has absolute complete shit in regards to all you can eat sushi. It is impossible to have good service with a party larger than 1 – 2 people. They refuse to do separate bills for everyone so we don’t have to do the math of splitting cards/cash. They take 20 – 30 minutes to serve sushi each round thereby leaving you there for 2−3hours just trying to eat. They forget to deliver rounds of things you order. This visit they completely disregarded our third round and no one got served their food in a group of 10 people. This is the worst place you can go to for sushi. Which is sad because the fish quality is not bad. The experience though is just plain awful. Will never come back again.

They have extremely good food and it is even an all you can eat place for a very reasonable price; $ 25 per person! They have beer and sake along with sodas and such. This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the quality of the sushi, and it was all you can eat to boot. They do not pack on the rice, like most of these type of places and the sushi is as good as most pay per item sushi places. The rolls are also very good and made again just like a pay per item place.

Highly recommend! We got the ayce sushi for dinner and everything was amazing! The fish is so good and there’s barely any rice which allows you to get the full taste of the fish! We ordered the shrimp boat(deep fried shrimp and imitation crab), yellowtail + crunch + eel hand rolls(amazing and huuuuuuuuuuge), the placentia roll, and a few other rolls that I forgot the name of. Each roll tasted very distinct which is refreshing compared to other places that drench everything in the same sauce. The servers were extremely busy but were quick to refill our waters and bring our orders. They also gave genuine smiles each time they came :) Overall I really like this place and I’m not sure why they have such a low rating. See you again soon maki yaki! :)

I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review, but I am compelled to do so since they are serving raw fish. I did not get sick or anything, however the look of the fish was stale and most of our sushi items tasted bad. In addition, had to request multiple times to get water, condiments, check, etc… I must admit that I am a sushi snob and now I know why my regular sushi bar charges the prices they do. It is worth every damn penny. I used to go to this place when it was owned by the original family and it was really good. Stay far away from this place. I am getting grossed out just thinking about it.

I dont like to leave bad reviews. Hope this review makes the management take a hard look at their practices. I got my order in at 7pm and i complained to the owner at 8pm. He just ignored me. Dont know if it was a language barrier or what. My friend had the all you can eat and the server also forgot to take his second round. We just got up and left. Only the server appogized to me but didnt take my order again or my friends. Not a big deal but when you are paying $ 70 you expect better service.

The service here is really poor, the servers are not attentive. In fact you don’t even know who your server is. There is a lady that walks around, a rude quiet man dressed is street clothes(who I assume is the owner) and some servers in black shirts. But you are served by multiple people. I went an entire hour of dinner with two other party members without any of our drinks being refilled at all. On top of that, I asked for one of my rolls with no sauce on the top and they couldn’t even do that. I had to send it back and wait longer for my food. Overall the food was decent, the service is non attentive and not friendly. I can get sushi anywhere but I would rather go to a place where the staff is competent and doesn’t make me wait for my food and water so I can eat and enjoy my meal.

Great sushi at unbelievable price, inside a cute Japanese style hut. Criteria to be met to qualify as a good Japanese restaurant: 1. Small. 99% good legitimate Japanese restaurants are small(not fusions) and come with wooden tables and divided seating areas. 2. Legitimate sushi chefs. Sushi chefs were trained from Manhattan, NY where some of the most picky eaters reside. Hand temperature and training is crucial to make the perfect nigiri they have served, not to forget the knife training(in the ika they cut up for us). Rice was perfectly seasoned and nigiri was nicely chilled temperature over bamboo leaves.(Who wants warm nigiri?!) 3. Cute Waitress. Okay, I am not a perverted guy(I am a straight woman) but the lady was so cute in the Japanese costume! Smile/service/culture… On point! Made the experience complete. So sweet. 4. Freshness. Many budget Japanese restaurant lack in quality & freshness. Fish was fresh. Soup was fresh made. Cups and utensils clean. Tables clean. Sushi bar — nice and cold with proper ice in the sashimi fridge. 5. Great service and no long waits or mistakes on food. Take a chance and sit at the bar, order some rolls and nigiris and have a sake! Talk to sushi chef for recommendation and you won’t go wrong! Thumbs up.
