I’ve been going to True Value for decades and I’ll continue to go just because it’s the only game it town. Seriously though this place has a lot for such a small store. The tools and materials they sell are all of good quality and the old guys typically know what they’re talking about. The service is slow but thorough and you can expect personal service every time. I can’t give Yoder’s True Value five stars because of the markup on just about everything. I guess I’ve come to expect to pay more at a place that’s willing to take time for each customer.

This is almost the classic small-​town hardware store. A little bit of everything, helpful staff, very friendly feeling. There’s not as much stuff as at Home Depot, but there’s enough to take care of most things, and they can help you figure out how to fix whatever you’re working on.
