This is a nice, clean store. The employees are courteous and helpful. My problem is the product itself. I was unable to find a site where I could submit a review of Hallmark, so I will do it here. The Hallmark web site states the following: «Most greeting cards available in the United States are produced here, by Hallmark employees in our greeting card production center in Lawrence, Kan.» Based on my recent experience at Amy’s Hallmark, this is just not true. I was shopping a birthday card for my wife. I looked at many cards before finally finding one that was not made in China. All of the«nicer» cards I looked at were clearly marked as made in China. I spoke with an assistant manager while checking out. She said that a number of customers have complained about the lack of American made cards. My attitude is simple. When I can’t find acceptable American made cards at Hallmark then I will go someplace else to buy cards. If I can no longer find acceptable cards anyplace then I will do what I did when I was in the third grade and that is get a sheet of construction paper, a paper lace doily, some paste and crayons and I will make the bloody card myself, but I won’t buy Chinese cards.

Not helpful! They had 4 girls working and 1 other customer. I was looking for 2 other parts to a Christmas set. Stood at the counter and waited to be told she«couldn’t check any other stores for me because I need the item#». I guess the computer in front of her must have been for auto parts… I put back the others, walked out to the car and called 2 other stores myself. Went to Ginny’s Hallmark in Naperville and bought what I wanted and several other ornaments also. They checked to see that they had them while on the phone and then held them for us. In short Amy’s doesn’t need our business!
