I am very disappointed with Elegant Eyes. When I arrived for my eye exam on January 10th, the office told me that my insurance company wouldn’t cover my eye exam because I hadn’t met my deductible(I later found out this was incorrect) so I had to pay the full $ 89 cost of the exam. I paid in full, got my eyes checked and left. Two weeks later, I received my usual Explanation of Benefits from my insurance company. To my surprise, Elegant Eyes had submitted a claim for my eye exam. My insurance company paid them $ 38.10, which according to my EOB, they accepted as payment in full. So they took my $ 89 as well as the $ 38.10 from my insurance company! When I called Elegant Eyes to resolve, the receptionist promised the doctor would call me back. She never did. I called again a week later. Nothing. I called again and the receptionist told me she wasn’t sure how much the insurance company had paid them, even though I clearly stated I had proof that Horizon Bluecross had paid them $ 38.10. They’ve been giving me the run around ever since. My insurance company has made it very clear to me that Elegant Eyes owes me the full amount that I paid because I was never supposed to pay out of pocket for an in-network eye exam. It’s been over 2 months. They kept my money illegally and are avoiding me and my insurance company, despite numerous phone calls. I paid with a credit card, it would be very easy for them to just credit me back the money on my card. I’ve never experienced such a disgusting treatment of patients. I am never going back and I’m going to make sure I never recommend this location to anyone I know. I wish I could give it 0 stars.
