If you are looking for ANY sort of lighting this is the place to go. They have everything for any budget. I cannot emphasize the budget. We were looking for a simple ceiling fan with a light for under $ 200. When we first walked in we thought«this place is way out of our budget range» NOTTRUE. We left with exactly what we were looking for and a list of items we will return for as we work our way through our current remodel. To think we almost went to Lowe’s and settled for something less than what we really wanted. Thank you Brian Mckenna and Light Source Lighting we look forward to many future purchases from your store and recommend you to anyone.

Absolutely terrible service here! We ordered a ceiling fan the first week in MAY2015 to start the summer. We just learned that it SHOULD be in tomorrow, AUGUST25th. Seriously?! We are now just two weeks away from Labor Day, the end of summer. Too bad we couldn’t have used that ceiling fan to cool our place during the hottest days of the summer. It’s also too bad that NOBODY even called to update us on our order. Not. one. person. We have had to call multiple times to attempt to track the status. I say«attempt» because one sales person is just as clueless as the next sales person. They all have one thing in common: They don’t want to deal with customers. That was clear from the crappy service we received in the show room the day we visited. One day in late July, I finally spoke with Pat who has been slightly more motivated than the others to help me determine where my fan was and when I can expect it. She told me that the fan was literally on a slow boat from China. She had no idea when we would receive it but estimated it would be August, nearly four months after we ordered it. Never in any of my interactions with Light Source Lighting was I told that my purchase would be delayed nearly four months. If I knew at the time of my purchase that I would not have a fan for the summer and that it would take nearly four months for the fan to arrive, I would likely have made my purchase elsewhere. Nobody felt responsible for letting me know the status of my order unless and until I began to demand answers; then they didn’t care because they already made their sale. I really hate that we gave hundreds of dollars to Light Source Lighting for a fan that has taken nearly four months to arrive with little correspondence to keep us informed. The employees at Light Source Lighting don’t have consideration to call and tell their customers the status of their orders. That’s what I mean by terrible customer service. One thing is for certain: This will be the last time we shop at Light Source Lighting. Now every time I drive by, I will wonder if it is still in business. Reading others’ reviews, it’s not going to be in business very much longer with the customer service they offer.

I feel inclined to write a review because of the negative reviews on here. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. We were given time to walk around and look at everything, the sales associate came around to see how we were doing but wasn’t pushy at all! Loved it in this store and bonus, the light we wanted was in stock and hundreds of dollars cheaper than online. Can’t wait to go back for all my other lighting needs!

Here’s a bright idea for lighting. comparison shop! We are regulars at Galleria in Naperville as well as all of the Big Box stores. Lowes, Home Depot, Menards etc… It seems that we are constantly renovating/remodeling something. sometimes, our house(in the past, we’ve moved a lot) and sometimes investment properties. We are adding on to our house and our builder(Sebring Services) suggested that we check this place out. So we did. Our salesman(Steve) really helped us out. We have a screened in porch being added as well as some rooms, so we need lights, fans and a fan that is rated for outdoor use too. He pulled out a bunch of books and gave us all sorts of ideas. They have a very good website as well, I’m guessing that they do a fair amount of sales that way. That didn’t matter this time because we needed to see stuff in person. We found some pendant lights that we liked(no decisions on those yet) and two fans, a Casablanca and a Minka Aire(suitable for outdoors). Their low price matched the low price on all of the other sites for the Minka Aire. I think they might be price protected, but the Casablanca was $ 5.00 less than Amazon, Build or Houzz. Pretty good for a local place. We haven’t made the purchase yet, but the only knock on them(for me) is no stock. They’ve got a very nice showroom, but you have to order things. or, at least the things that I want. So, this is just shopping for the built in stuff… my wife has a real thing for lamps… fortunately for the both of us she has a friend that actually enjoys that kind of shopping(I’m relieved of the shopping agony and enjoy the benefits!)

I walked in this store filled with excitement about finding the perfect chandelier for my foyer. After walking around for 20 minutes, not ONE person even greeted me! I could not believe how I was being ignored. I intentionally stood in front of a desk where an employee was sitting… NOTHING! I then moved in front of the large service desk with FIVE people behind it… NORESPONSE! An employee came from around the desk and said, «excuse me»!!! I was obviously in his way!!! By now, I was boiling on the inside! I stopped and text my husband about this poor customer service when… an employee walks past me and introduces herself to two customers and asks if THEY had questions!!! At that point, 32 minutes after entering the store, I LOSTIT! I left a HUGE chunk of my mind with that employee and EXITED! Based on the other reviews, this store could really use Customer Service 101! I went right down the road and found the exact same chandelier I was considering at The Galleria ~ for less $$$

They have a lot of lights. And many are nice and somewhat reasonably priced. But like another reviewer mentioned, having a sales associate ask if you need help would be great. I planned on purchasing new outdoor lighting and even found lights I was in love with. But based on principle I went elsewhere due to their lack of customer service or attention. I was dressed very casually so maybe they assumed I wasn’t a potential customer? I know they saw me, but I was ignored. Maybe they were having a bad day.

Worst customer service ever. I’ve visited this store twice and wasn’t so much as even greeted as I walked in. Too bad because I had a $ 1000 budget to spend on new light fixtures for my home. A message to the sales folks there: treat everyone that walks in as a buyer, no matter what they look like.
