Really loved the ‘bark park’ when we lived here. We would come here a couple of times per week with our small dogs. You have to have a pass to access the park, as it’s not open to the public. We didn’t know this when we moved to Plainfield. Every time we came to the park the gate was left open, so we never had to swipe a card. We purchased a $ 30 annual membership soon after. Hubs and I would come here during the day and it was typically very quiet. Occasionally you’d have pet parents with very large dogs hanging out on the small dog side; we’d have to wait for the big dogs to go to their designated area before we would even think of taking our small dogs inside. Some of the bigger dogs at the bark park were very obviously aggressive. You enter at your own risk, but if you’re ever unsure just pick up your dog and leave. It’s a fun place, but not worth the risk. Great for doggie socialization and we even met our pet-sitter here! You’re supposed to clean up after your pet, but I’ve spent many afternoons cleaning up other dogs poo. No smoking here either, but I can’t tell you how many cigarette butts are lying around this place. I hear there’s a dog park in Avon as well, but Plainfield is much more reasonably priced.

Reviewing a dog park? Why not! My labradoodle and I visit this place on the daily and it is always a good time. There are two sides to the roughly 3 acre lot. One side is for dogs 30 pounds or smaller and the other is for larger dogs. There are trees, fire hydrants and fun tunnels for the pups to traverse across, plus handy plastic bags for when your dog feels the need ;) The thing I love the most about this place is how much great exercise my dog gets playing and socializing with the other canines. We really haven’t had any negative experiences yet(as far as aggressive dogs) and have even come to recognize some of his playmates by name! Just FYI, this park is card access only, so make sure to stop by the aquatic center to sign up! Annual access was $ 30. All in all, a great place to bring your dog to burn off some energy and make some friends! Jack gives it 5 stars!
