Way To Expensive $ 13 for A BEC on a Bagel and Medium Ice Latte.. .. Ive had much better. Super Disappointed!!!

We used to go to the other place in Town and now my family comes here to Family Bagel. Food is great and the owner knows how to treat his customers. We are officially a Family Bagel family now!

Today I went here for this first time since they switched up most of the staff and boy did this place go down hill. They messed up my bagel… How do you mess up something so simple? I ordered an egg everything with bacon scallion cream cream cheese, it was terrible. There was a VERY THIN layer of cream cheese ONLY in the middle of the bagel. I might as well have just ordered the bagel with no cream cheese it would have been basically the same. It was cut horribly, one side was minuscule and the other half was huge. I’m sorry but when you’re paying 7 $ for a simple bagel and coffee could you at least put some cream cheese on my damn bagel? Used to go to this place every week, I can safely say now I will not be going back. Oh well at least there are tons of other bagel places in the area. Don’t give this over priced crappy bagel place your business.

Don’t waste your money these people are highly ripping you off. I had heard that they overcharged and that their sandwiches weren’t anything to brag about, but wow. I was in shock when I ordered just turkey and cheese on white bread and a small bag of chips and it came to $ 10! WHAT?! Never again.

Ok here we go again“if you see something say something” Easter Sunday as I dropped my wife& grandson off at the Dr. office I went next door to get breakfast well what a wise decision I discovered a good find. soon as I walked in the mgr or owner I dont know which one he was, greets me with a big «good morning» well as a guy who has been driving trucks for over 25yrs I found that to be «very impressive» this guy has no idea what a person life is like and his friendly greeting could possible save lives{im just saying} that was my first time going there but definitly not my
pass this on to others. you never know how easy it is to makes someone ‘s day. keep up the good work guys…

Love this place, consistently anything I order is delicious. Breakfast, the Bronx tale panini & the chopped salads have never disappointed. Text or fax in your order if your going during the lunch or breakfast rush.

Plenty of parking. The place is very clean. Lots of choices and the food is great. Staff is very friendly and fast. Prices are good. Excellent bagels!!! A great place to go.

Let me just start by saying the owner is the biggest prick around. They are incredibly over priced and the kicker is half the time you sandwich isn’t even made right. Instead of buying an over priced egg sandwich I opted for a «freshly made» crumb cake square, freshly made my ass when I went to eat it I noticed a giant mold spot on the bottom. I went back to the owner to tell him about his moldy crumb cake and he asked me if I wanted a different one. NO THANKS! Really not worth the aggravation and definitely not worth the money.

I went in to order a few platters for a party. The owner said to come back the following week with a list of what I would like to order. After a week, I contacted the owner with my order and he said that he could no longer complete my order because there wasn’t enough time. I came two weeks before and THE OWNER was the one that told me to come back in a week. Not to mention, he didn’t work with us at all and just had a huge attitude. Your better off going to any other deli. Don’t even bother giving them business.

As good as the low carb bagels, spreads and sandwiches are, the staff is what makes this place great. Friendly, fast and attentive service. I have been here more times than I can count, both when it was busy and quiet, and have ordered via the Internet, and my order is always correct.

Great bagels and coffee! The service is great too. The place is always crowded because the food is delicious but they get you in and out quickly.

Family bagel is not worth the extremely overpriced bagels and sandwiches .
1. The bagels are tiny
2. Bagel sandwiches such as sausage/​bacon egg and cheese cost $ 7.15 for one the worst bagel sandwiches i have ever ate .
Family bagel told me they had to compete with the neighborhood so i went down the block to gold n meyer bagel and got myself a sausage egg and cheese for 4.40 $ with coffee 5 $ and it was 100x’s better

Picked up a couple dozen bagels to bring back to San Francisco. They were DELICIOUS. The staff is friendly and fun. The highlight however, was the bacon on my «The Animal» sandwich. I haven’t had bacon cooked that perfectly in years.

My go-​to local bagel shop. I didn’t think I would find decent bagels when my family moved out of queens but family bagel definitely met my standards. Their dozen bagel deal is fantastic, as well as the bagels they have to offer, they also have a decent selection of cream cheeses. (The everything-​bagel is my top favorite) They expanded the place and now offer reward cards (!!) the workers really hustle to get your order out efficiently.
Had their sandwiches. Great pesto chicken sandwich and loved the pickle that was included! I always stop back here whenever I visit my parents!

What can I say!!! Neal and the entire family bagel staff are all great people … Once you walk in you will notice it is the cleanest bagel shop in town. He prides himself on keeping the store so clean and tidy which makes it very inviting for his customers .
The salads all made fresh daily from the light tuna to the family salad specialties you can’t go wrong with any of them they are all equally as good. My personal favorites are there grilled chicken and the family egg white salad .
The bagels whether it be low carb or regular all fresh and soft and good consistency.
Be sure to try one of there famous sandwiches posted along the wall !
So happy to have found this gem Neal and Ro have created look forward to my multiple visits to family weekly.

Family Bagels is a super reliable bagel shop and deli. They’re open during Passover which is helpful on Long Island when many others bagel shops are closed.
I have used Family Bagels for party orders. They have great foresight and always provide all extras and utensils. Their prices are very competitive too.
In regards to food, I recommend the whitefish and the vegetable tuna spreads. Both have a nice balance between chunkiness and smoothness.

So sad I had to move back to queens.
The only place I went to get me some breakfast in Plainview.
Great customer service.
Food is great.
They were great even when we had specific special requests on sandwiches.

UPDATE 2: While lunch is good, the bagels just aren’t. This place would be better off being a deli at least then I could excuse a sub-​par bagel. If you like bagels from Dunkin Donuts, then you will like the bagels here. If not, try going to a real bagel shop. There are tons in the neighborhood.
I’ve been working in Plainview for almost 10 years and somehow I didn’t come here before today. Clearly that was a mistake because this bagel shop is really good. It might even be my new go to bagel place in Plainview, I’ll reserved that for another day when I actually have a bagel.
Today I decided on Joseph’s Choice Panini for lunch and I’m happy I did. It’s a delicious combo of baked chicken cutlet, American cheese, bacon, lettuce and Russian dressing (which I skipped). Great overall sandwich with a perfect balance of chicken to cheese to bacon to lettuce. Yum. I’ll definitely be back.

If you’re gonna be my bagel place you need good bagels and good tuna. This place has both, so we got off to a good start. There’s a lot of bagel flavors and a bunch of tuna salad choices that are all good.
Being a Long-​Islander named Joseph, I like ordering sandwiches like the Long Islander and Joseph’s Choice. It doesn’t even matter what’s on them, I just like eating stuff with my name on it. What’s on them is pretty good though. The former is turkey, Swiss cheese, bacon, cole slaw and Russian dressing, the latter is breaded chicken cutlet with American cheese, bacon with Russian dressing. The cole slaw and bacon were crisp and the rolls were fresh and chewy. Sometimes you get stale rolls at other places and they flake into a million pieces with every bite and get all over your shirt and pants. That really drives me nuts, so I’m happy I didn’t have to deal with that. They use Boar’s Head cold cuts, which is a big plus because that’s what I would consider the standard for cold cuts. There’s no gross slimy turkey here.
The service is quick and friendly and the dining area and bathroom are clean.
I wish they used the Belly app for rewards, but you can still sign up for an old-​school rewards card to get free coffee, sandwiches and more.
