I have gone here for years. Know what to order, develop favorites. Good food consistently. Chicken with cashew good. Broccoli alone or with Chicken good. Dumplings very good. Boneless spare ribs good too .Low key place with good food . This place is under new management and is a shadow of what it was. We have tried several dishes and they have all been poor imitations of the real dish. We now go to anther take out restaurant.

Probably the best, most consistant chinese takeout in the land of Plainview Chinese take out places. They serve good quality fresh food and we have never had a bad meal there. The service and demeanor of the managment and staff leaves mush to be desired but there is a nice person at the front counter that at least tries to be pleasent. Try the House special Mei Fun– it is delicious.

We’ve been coming here for years and have always thought the people who worked there were extremely unfriendly; however, the food was always good. Recently my mom ordered Hot & Sour Soup and it had a rock in it(the owners said it must have been from the mushrooms). When my mom called to tell them, they were, as usual, extremely unfriendly and tried to defend themselves instead of being caring and sympathetic as they should probably have been. They did, however, tell her to come into the restaurant so they could give her her money back. For a $ 30 dollar meal they threw her a $ 5 bill for the soup and continued to argue with her about how she was wrong even though she had the rock in her hand and showed it to all of them. Extremely unprofessional and that is not how you should run a business. Will never be back again and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I love this place. It took me about 18 months to find a decent Chinese place after moving to Long Island… and this, my friends, is it. I am a big fan of the pan fried wantons in garlic sauce(seriously, just get them), the boneless spare ribs, and pretty much anything else they cook there. I also love watching the show when I go to pick things up. For first timers, they may seem kind of gruff at first, but once you go back a few times you can even get the older gentleman to smile at you(shhhh, don’t tell anyone I said that). This is reliable, tasty, Chinese at a good price… do it!

Golden China Kitchen’s Szechuan Chicken is the best Chinese dish that I have had. The crispy chicken blended in a spicy brown sauce with green peppers and broccoli cannot be beat!

Quick Chinese take-out, good for a Christmas dinner when everything else is closed. Did ask for some food to be extra-spicy but it was only«Long Island spicy». as in, not very. Prices were reasonable. As quick local take-out goes, this is fine.

This place is quality but nothing spectacular. We ordered the chicken with broccoli, steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, and the szechuan beef. The chicken with broccoli was good, and I really loved the sauce but I feel the broccoli was a little overcooked. The dumplings were typical chinese dumplings, and were definitely very tasty. The szechuan beef was also very good and came with shredded carrots, celery, scallions and some other vegetables I think, but I think the dish could have had more beef in it. The pork fried rice was also pretty good but just like the rest the meal it was not the greatest I’ve ever had. So I think 3 stars is a pretty reasonable review for this place but I would have given it 3.5 if I could. I will definitely order from here again as it was a quality place, nearby to where I live, and was not that expensive.
