I ordered the chicken General tso. Biggest mistake, hard old chicken and very expensive. Chicken came with no rice or sides.

I was looking for kosher hot dogs for passover on 4÷3÷15. What I found was very distrubing. There were packages that had expired dates on them. When brought to The butcher’s attention, he laughed and told me it was only a few days off. The package I noted was dated 3÷15÷15. NOTFUNNY. What my husband observed after I walked away was even worse. The butcher put the package back in the meat case. THISIS A GLATTKOSHERSHOP. CANNOTTRUSTTHEMTOHAVEFRESHPRODUCT. i will never shop there again. BEWARE!!!

I recently held a community seder for 50 people. It was the first time I had done this, and being a Queens girl, I wasn’t too familiar with which kosher places in Nassau County would be open during Passover. It was truly just random phone calls that I ended up at Kosher Food Emporium. Boy, am I glad I did! From the very start — literally, from the first phone call — the service was outstanding. I let them know what I was looking for price-wise, and they put together a great menu — barbecued chicken, farfel and mushrooms, apple kugel, plenty of charoset, cranberry compote and a huge salad. We checked in with each other a week before, and a day before the event, to adjust numbers and plan for the pick up. There was no hassle with changing the number of attendees, and the food was neatly packaged into boxes when we arrived to pick it up. In person, the staff was friendly and helpful — even taking the boxes out to the car! But the most important part? The food was great. The chicken was flavorful, the farfel with mushrooms was savory and delicious, the apple kugel was sweet, moist, and tasted of cinnamon. They didn’t stint on anything: in fact, even after all the teenagers went back for seconds, we still had enough left over for lunch the next day for our staff! I was really pleased from start to finish. The friendly, helpful staff, the quantity of food, and the great tasting meal helped make our community seder such a success. I can’t wait to try their food the rest of the year.
