Called them out for a service call on a fridge I moved and that wouldn’t cool since. They told me it was «burned out» and would cost more than $ 400 to fix. I got an estimate of over $ 150 to repair a different fridge (I have an abundance of fridges, I guess). After he left, I took a look at the «burned out» fridge and realized that something had gotten caught in the evaporator fan and prevented it from turning. I pulled it out and now my «burned out» fridge is fine.
I checked up on the estimate he gave me for the other fridge and he told me the parts were 2x what they cost to get from a local supply house.
In short, call someone else. These people are either incompetent or liars, and you don’t need to work with either one.
