It was a very horrible experience… if zero could be an option i would select that Given the location and the presentation of the salon my husband was expecting a completely different experience. We can go anywhere and spend less money to get the same result. What we wanted was a place that understands a man’s hair is key in presenting himself to the world. My husband’s hair ended up unevenly cut all over and was left with a crooked hair line at the nape of his neck… horrible. He vowed to never go back.

Couldn’t ask for a better haircut or a better experience. I have been getting my haircut exclusively by Von for the past 7 years, every two to three weeks without fail. He is truly an artist who has a deep passion for what he does. Run, don’t walk to the Boardroom and elevate your haircut to the next level.

I have gone to a few other similar places and this is by far the most relaxing and professional place I’ve been to. I have received the Benchmark treatment a couple times now and I could just about fall asleep. Can’t thank Christina M. enough when I receive compliments at work and around friends. I’ve even had other co workers go because of the results. Thank you for the hospitality. Mike B.

I have been going to The Boardroom on Legacy for roughly 3 years. I must say that I have been to several of The Boardroom locations and this one is by far the best. The professional staff and environment are two reasons why I have continued to renew my membership every year. The other reason is the quality haircut and benchmark from my stylist, Lita. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great haircut in a relaxed, professional setting to go see Lita at The Boardroom on Legacy and get the Benchmark!

Wonderful haircut, and beard trim. Excellent staff, and you can’t pass up the benchmark.

Love Lita and the work that she does! Pretty pricey but worth it if you’re looking for a spa and haircut combo.

Great location, cool vibe, comfortable chairs. All that being said, I will not return for a haircut and certainly will not join their non-refundable membership… The haircut I got last week was not of high quality. It was what you would expect to get from a less expensive place in a strip mall… $ 40+ for a men’s haircut should be a higher level of quality than what I received.

I have never reviewed a company on Unilocal before but my experience was so awful that I signed up because I get asked constantly — where do you get your boys haircut? If ‘0’ was an option, I would have selected that. I have 2 sons with longer hair and was desperate to find a place that knew what to do with them. My older son has had some very bad haircuts in the past so I called The Boardroom at Shop of Legacy before I made the appointment and asked if they had a stylist that could work with longer hair(think shaggy Justin Bieber). They said yes. They conveniently booked my appointments at the same time. I spoke with both stylists before they began about what my kids wanted and that I was OK with keeping it long but it needed cleaned up. Both stylists were very friendly. I went to the chairs in waiting area to play with my younger child. When I walked back in to check on the boys both had hair that looked like it was cut with clippers with a 4 guard. I didn’t want anyone to get upset so I complimented them on how nice they looked. Long story short — both boys ended up in tears over it. They did look a little girlish and I had to take one boy to SportClips to get it fixed. Both stylists and receptionist were very apologetic. I tried to pay and they told me not to worry about it. Next day day manager called yelling at me for skipping out on paying. I explained what happen. She only got louder and threatened me.

I came here on Monday and got a great haircut from Shelby! I had a coupon to upgrade my Express haircut to the Benchmark, which was the first time I have ever received a Benchmark. Shelby did a great job cutting my hair, and made the Benchmark experience extremely relaxing. I had never done that before, but it made me realize why people get it. It’s nice! My only minor complaint is that when I got home, my wife pointed out that she did not get the lower part of my neck well enough. I was wearing a collared shirt, so it was probably a little more difficult for her to get my neck. Either way, my wife shaved it real quick for me, no problem. The rest of the haircut looks great though! My wife loved it! Definitely a great overall experience.

I have been going to the Boardroom in Plano and Uptown(McKinney Ave) for over two years. I really like the Shops of Legacy location better than Uptown. Leda, Julie, and Shelby are my favorites. Leda is the one I have used the longest, but sometimes(because she is so popular) she is too busy, so I go to Julie. If Julie is busy, I use Shelby. All three are great. They have their own personality. I am recommending all three. You can’t go wrong.

I usually drive to this location for a haircut. They do a great job with cutting and styling. However, they don’t shave the back of the neck. I’m surprised it’s not standard with the haircut. I think Finley’s off Preston does a better job with shaving. Also, they sell Jack Black products here too. That’s a nice bonus. :)

I’ve tried a few of the other boardroom locations and this one shines brighter than them all in terms of both service and consistency. Oh and make your reservation with Jessica she’s the best.

Got one of the worst haircuts of my life at this location. The uptown is location is a hit/miss depending on the girl. The lady cutting my hair claimed she was a «pro» at fading. Literally the most uneven fade in my life and taken way too high. It was 2 weeks before my hair looked somewhat presentable. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed up. If you really want to visit the boardroom, I would suggest another location. Run far away from this one.

Short story: Know the cool, classy gentleman’s barber shops pictured in men’s health magazines and GQ? This is it. This is by far THEBEST place to get a haircut. The staff is friendly, fun and really upbeat but they also possess a great amount of knowledge. The most important thing? They know how to cut MEN’S hair. They understand the in’s and out’s of a conservative cut and how to achieve what you’re looking for. The salon contains tv’s to watch the game, a chess board and pool table for while you’re waiting. They offer an array of complementary drinks ranging from water to a cold brew and the décor gives the salon a classic gentleman’s feel. I’ve been to other locations but this one has by far the most fun and knowledgeable staff. They do a great job of making you feel more than welcome and make your haircut an experience rather than just a snip.

Pricey, trendy, and fun! The $ 75 haircut — that’s what my friends call it after I told them of my experience! The location on Legacy has just opened and I received a $ 30 off on my first visit. This place is truly a Mancave, or is it? can I say that? I will explain later. I call it a Mancave because I was offered a beer when I walked in. I also saw guys shooting pool in the lobby while they were waiting for a haircut. I opted for the full deal. I received a shampoo, conditioner, and haircut! Then I was followed by a facial moisturizing treatment. As I walked down the hall, I saw a gentleman receiving a beard shave with an actual blade and cream. The parafin hand wax treatment required me to place my hands in a square container with warm wax. The wax stuck to my hands as I soaked for about one minute. It was kind of creepy having my arms covered in a layer of wax. But, then, the salonist place my hands in warm rags and a plastic bag. I let me hands set for about another minute. Then, she pulls the plastic bag off and the wax comes off my arms in one motion like a glove. Really? Is that even possible? I decided to get an eyebrow wax as well since this place tends to specialize in removing unibrows and unwanted male hair. She did an awesome job — no arch no metrosexual here! She shaped the brows as thick and full. Had it not been for the price, I would come back to this place. I do not know if I can justify spending that kind of $$$ on a haircut. However, it is an experience every guy should go through –at least once. Or twice as I say because the first time of everything is typically bad. You have to try it twice! Oh, the Mancave, remark? Does a Mancave have facials, moisturizers, and parafin handwax? Probably not, but it does have beer and pool tables.
