I used to eat here as Amore. The recent changes really disappointed my family. We’ve been eating here maybe 4 years and have enjoyed the quality. The new«Mio» thinks rather highly of themselves. The prices have skyrocketed for no reason. It’s the same food and same portion. Why am I paying so much more? So disappointed.

We have eaten here many times(as Amore Italian). Now it is Mio Italian by Amore. The only difference we noticed is the prices(much higher). Same food, portions and service.

I echo Gary D’s feelings about the recent changes here. I have loved every meal I had here UNTIL their recent changes. Husband & I went Saturday night(6÷4÷16), expecting our usual satisfying meals. As I looked over their new limited paper menu, I noticed almost everything stated it included a touch of marinara. I’m not a marinara fan & had difficulty choosing from the new menu. I selected chicken marsala, which is usually one of my reliable choices. My husband chose a seafood dish & we started with bruschetta. Previously, bruschetta was excellent here– not now! The main courses took over an hour & others seated after us were served before. The same marinara sauce was used for both dishes & I couldn’t even taste a hint of marsala wine! The server didn’t bring sweetener for our iced teas, so I had to ask for it. When she finally brought it, the table in front of us stopped her & asked for it, so she gave what I asked for to them & I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for her to go back & get more for us! UNREAL! I was so disappointed in this visit & will be asking neighbors for Italian recommendations. As far as Mio Amore– go back to your previous incarnation. Otherwise, your customers will all go elsewhere!

Lunch experience was disappointing. Bread was stale. Panini sandwich wasn’t good. Service was terrible.

Oh gosh what was I thinking?! This restaurant was pretty horrible! I have to admit the salad and the bread were the ONLY good thing about this place. The pasta was something I can make at home with Ragu Pasta Sauce. I will not be returning!

Decided to give it a try after staying away for 2 years. The reason we stopped coming was because of bad service and bad attitude by the owners. This time our service was OK, but the food not very good. We ordered a pizza(in the past the pizza was delicious). This pizza crust tasted like cardboard. Also we had chicken parmigiano which tasted like a frozen food dish. Finally, another person ordered what he used to order, chicken catatori. He used to rave about it, but this time it had no taste. Will be a while before we come back.

Horrible service experience. Please save your time and money and go to the location in Richardson. Never once had a bad experience there but will never return to Plano. We sat down and expected bread to come out and it didnt. We eventually asked for it and was rudely told it comes after we order. I’m sorry but if I come to your restaurant to eat… I get to decide what order I get bread(especially if I ask for it). When we finally got the bread it was as hard as a rock. My order, the chicken parmesean was at least a day old… reheated with cheese on top. My husband’s food was good/made fresh. If you cannot offer everything on your menu fresh please reduce the size of your menu. To top it all off… we were given attitude for wanting to split the check with another couple. It was a simple request to split 4 people’s food 2 ways… not a huge inconvenience when there is literally 3 other tables being waited on in the entire restaurant. The staff nearly outnumbered us! Stick a fork in me I’m DONE.

Visited Café Amore this afternoon and was quite pleased with the traditional fare I had placed in front of me. Cheesy garlic bread was delicious and I had the Meat Lasagna. Everything tasted just right on seasonings and I ate more than I probably should have.

Café Amore is such a beautiful place to eat at. They have replica of Italian Renaissance art on the wall and it is very cozy! The food is good and the waiters are very nice! The only downside is that it’s BYOB.

David I’m having the pepperoni pizza on my way home. Stopped on a whim to try it out. Really good pizza. I will be coming back to try some of the other dishes.

Chief doesn’t know what is carbonara. Pizza Margharita with Fetaki cheese. There are no Italian food. It’s some American fantasy about Italian food.

This review goes from three to four stars simply because of the service. It’s a quaint little place where you can bring your own wine and talk amongst your friends, yet never feel rushed by the wait staff. The food is ok, but the baked ziti took it up a notch this last trip. Their bread rolls are always served warm, so make sure to enjoy one. Stop in when you want to get away from the noise and hustle&bustle of the metroplex.

Café Amore is a great Italian resturant in Plano, and the place is huge. Very quick service and a wide variety of dishes. It is also BYOB! Love the garlic bread that they provide. The only disappointing thing I had while I was here was the lobster raviloi because they only gave me 4 noodles. I needed more noodles!

I usually shy away from Italian restaurants because so much of the menu has gluten in the food. If it’s not pasta then it is dredged in flour and fried or sauted. I didn’t have much choice on this restaurant as it was chosen by a friend for his birthday. They had a few items that I could actually eat and I chose the Chicken Marsala, I should have asked for vegetables, I’m guessing that was an alternate choice for pasta, but it wasn’t offered, however, another guest at our table had gotten them. The food was good, not much of it, but good. Our waiter was a dead ringer for Sal Mineo but he was too young to even know who Sal Mineo was.(Actor 1939 – 1976) We did have a great time!

I like anywhere that lets me bring a bottle of wine. Actually, that’s not true at all. But I did like this place! It’s in a convenient location, parking wasn’t awful, and there wasn’t a wait on the Thursday night that I went with my dinner buddy. The waitress made sure to get our small table’s order in before a giant party so that was appreciated. And the food was good!

Stopped in on a whim. Was riding by on my motorcycle, and decided to get a bite before food shopping. Décor is surprising.. Two stories, with Michaelangelo inspired mural… even anatomically correct(complete at least) cherubs. I was greeted, and seated by the owner??? The waitress was pleasant, engaging and helpful. She didn’t hover, but stopped by and was available. $ 6.99 for a salad, garlic bread, a drink and an item of your choice.. I got a large bowl of pasta with sausage and peppers. Green Peppers were fresh and crisp. The sauce and sausage were mediocre. Still better than most I’ve had around here. It did come out fast, they refilled my tea often, and this is a lot better than most places around here for lunch. Unilocal say 3.5 stars. I would agree. Llana, the server, brings it up to four. Wine-o’s beware.. It’s BYOB

I needed a short-notice replacement venue for our Company Christmas party. After asking for recommendations on Facebook, multiple friends directed me to Café Amore. I dropped in to meet with Tony, and brought my kiddoes along as taste testers. With 5-gold stars of approval on the impromptu dinner kid style, we booked our group for the following evening. Café Amore was the perfect solution! Great food, great prices, great service, and great menu options for large groups! Life should always be so easy. :-)

I’ve been coming to this place for years now. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. It’s so cute inside with a stellar ceiling for you to glaze at. The staff is always nice and helpful. Their house salads are so wonderful to start your meal off with. I won’t even mention how delicious their complimentary rolls are :-) My favorite meal here is the lasagna; however, I think their fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti and meat sauce, and chicken parmesan are also true winners on the menu! It’s also BYOB! I think that food is pretty authentic and provides a «home cooked meal» feeling after eating here. The prices are great and can’t be beat.
